Michiko Shimizu vs. Maria Castillo

Michiko had to let out a groan under her breath as Maria stepped away. She struck fast and hard, and the lavender-haired girl was starting to feel the effects of that on her now aching midsection. But Michiko still got her own word in edgewise nonetheless, as she let her arm smack into her opponent's chin! She smirked confidently at the sight, feeling reenergized and ready. If she could get one blow in on Maria, Michiko was sure she could turn the tide!

"Hah!" she called out, at once throwing herself back into the fray. Holding her arm out once again, she charged for Maria to try and bring her down with a clothesline!

Nursing a sore jaw, Maria stumbled around trying to clear the cobwebs from her vision, only to turn into a nasty clothesline from Michiko! The veteran landed hard on her back, stunned for a moment, before she kipped back up to her feet, much to the shock and delight of the crowd. The move was purely for showmanship, hyping the crowd up as she turned slowly to look at Michiko. Letting out a battle cry, she slammed her forearm into her opponent's collarbone, screaming at her in a challenge for dominance.

Just like that, Michiko's charge had proved to work in her favor, as Maria came toppling to the mat! The lilac-haired girl could hardly believe that she had brought down a veteran like Maria so easily. Even the sight of the luchadora going down was enough to make her stand wide-eyed, bewildered that she could have done such a thing. But she soon adjusted - and saw it as a call for celebration, not for confusion! "Hah! Yeah!" she cheered, lifting a fist in triumph. She had done it!

Or so she thought. As Michiko's self-indulgent celebrations were only to last a short moment before Maria jumped back up! Immediately the younger wrestler gasped, her festivities abruptly stopping at the sight of a now fully reenergized Maria come charging back at her bellowing like a warrior! Just how tough was Maria, she thought to herself?

Regardless of the answer, Michiko was answered with a hard club to the collarbone, causing her to cry out in pain and fall off her footing! Now it was her turn to go to the mat, stunned from the sudden reversal in fortunes!

Maria bludgeoned the woman with her forearm, seemingly flattening the lilac haired wrestler with ease. Not one to end things there, she dragged Michiko back to her feet, screaming in spanish before lifting the woman's chin with her hand. Drawing back her arm, she let loose a nasty chop right across the upper chest of her opponent!

The crowd let out a small "Woo!" in response, driving the luchadora one. Again and again she lit up Michiko's collarbone with her knife edged chops, before crying out once more, slapping her own chest in response and screaming at Michiko in a warrior's challenge!

Michiko barely had any time to acclimate to her position on the ground before she was once again hauled up, with Maria grasping her by the chin and dragging her to her feet. She groaned, doing her best to try and clear the cobwebs from her head, but it was becoming readily apparent now that Maria had no intentions to let up any time soon. She was abruptly shaken back to her senses as she threw a couple of chops into Michiko's chest! The stinging sensation from each slap sent Michiko crying out in pain. Each strike made her stagger back a little further, her large chest bouncing from the impact, until her back was laid against the rope to hold her back.

For a moment, she needed to catch her breath, panting a few times to try and focus. But once the pain began to subside, Michiko looked back up at her foe pounding her chest to goad Michiko into hitting her. That was enough to reignite her resolve, and matching Maria with a shout of her own, the lilac-haired girl charged forward, her arm swinging in a great, wide arc as she went to deliver her own chop into Maria's chest!

The war scream felt oh so good to her ears, for so many reasons. TO the crowd who doubted her return, to her opponent who was too awestruck to properly fight, to her own soul who never imagined a return like this was possible. It was a scream of defiance. A war cry. From here on out, The Reaper would come for them all.

The scream goaded Michiko into action, slapping Maria hard with a chop of her own. The blow left the luchadora staggering back a few feet, before turning back to nail a hard felt European uppercut! Then, grabbing at her head, she threw Michiko into the ropes, ready and waiting for the rebound!

Before, Michiko had felt as though she was out of her league when faced with an opponent as storied and as legendary as Maria. But now, when she saw just what the stakes were, and the intensity with which Maria was coming at her, all those concerns were out the window. Michiko now knew she was going to have to rise to the challenge if she was to stand a chance. She was going to have to meet Maria with the same force she would show her in return!

Seeing Maria go staggering back was enough to make Michiko grin with satisfaction, but unlike before, the excitement of getting a blow in didn't hold her back from what she was truly here for. She couldn't get distracted in her own self-indulgent celebrations, and she went low to charge back in towards Maria to further her momentum. But Maria was ready this time - and Michiko would feel it as she grabbed her on the way by before slamming a fist into her jaw! Her head went cracking backwards with a cough, and she stumbled back just long enough for Maria to hurl her back for the ropes, where she went bouncing back towards her. After a blow like that, Michiko was certainly dazed enough to be in no place to respond.

Maria was certainly having her way with the poor woman. This was proving to be an excellent showcase of her in ring character and talent. By no means was she done. She had far more in store to show these people that she was far from finished! Waving t the crowd while Michiko was on her way beck, she leaped up, wrapping her strong legs around the woman's head! Using all the momentum she could muster, she spin the poor rookie around, throwing her away in a hurricanrana that would flip Michiko flat on her spine!

Michiko was running on autopilot at this point, more out of inability to do much else than any other reason. Maria was striking so fast, she could hardly keep up. She supposed it was only fitting of such a legendary veteran...but she was awed that Maria could summon this sort of strength so soon after returning from an injury!

Having been thrown into the ropes, Michiko rebounded towards Maria again, right into the path of her hurricanrana. Michiko soon felt her opponent's thighs ensnaring her head as she kicked off the ground, and she was hurled down onto the mat with enough force to shake it! Michiko let out a gasp, buckling from the force of the impact.

Maria wasn't letting this lead escape her grasp now! No sooner had Michiko's spine slammed into the mat, than Maria ran forward, flipping a full 180 in a buttery smooth standing Shooting Star Press! Their bodies slammed together with a nasty slap, with the luchadora using the momentum to easily scoop up the leg. The ref took a moment to fully process just what had happened, before dropping down and hurridly counting the pin!

"One! Two!" she called with the crowd on it's feet! This was picking up speed now, Maria firmly in control and showing off her skills! Already dueling chants were breaking out, showing the pair that the crowd was white hot for this match!
