Viper Hoshiwara [D] vs. Kitty Page

With Kitty going flying through the air and impacting the mat head-first with the sound of a thud hitting the canvas, Viper had accomplished her goals perfectly. Despite her victory for the time being, she still didn't show much emotion, passing off everything with a nonchalant look and a shrug as though this was all old hat to her. But she did know that Kitty had come down hard, and she wouldn't likely be in any shape to fight back any time soon. Noting this, Viper went in to try and attempt a pin!

[Faeron]

Kitty felt limp onto the canvas before feeling the vague sense of someone's body weight pressed against her. The faint sounds of the referree's count roused her from the stunned state and Kitty lifted her shoulder off the mat to break the count at 2. If possible, Kitty will try to roll away from Viper to get a chance to recover.

[CaptainL]

Though Viper had tried to get her opponent down for the count, and even gotten close to securing the fall, Kitty proved to have more fight in her than expected, as she managed to kick out just in time. Viper blinked, looking down at her with some disappointment in not being able to win the match here and now. But it would only be a minor setback in the grand scheme of things, and she wasn't going to let it bother her.

Viper rolled back away from Kitty, getting back to her feet and dusting herself off when she was a safe distance away. "Hmph," she muttered, looking up to turn her attention to the masked girl in trying to figure out what she could expect from her next.

[Faeron]

Kitty rolled away to the ropes and got to her feet slowly as she caught her breath. Looking over her shoulder to see a patient Viper, Kitty exhaled deeply and started moving towards Viper again with her hands raised to feign a lock up attempt. Once close enough, she'll instead start throwing kicks towards Viper's legs.

[CaptainL]

It might have been a minor misstep in the grand scheme of things, but Viper didn't care about most anything, and this was no exception. She'd stand by to wait and see what further opportunities might present themselves. She had all the time in the world, after all.

Silently, the green-haired girl turned to see Kitty advancing on her, looking to have her in a lockup. As cold and calculating as Viper was, she still wasn't familiar enough with what she could expect from Kitty to see through her ruse, and leaned in to take the offer - only to get kicked in the leg instead. With a groan, she started to stagger backward from Kitty, dropping her guard.

[Faeron]

The kick connected and Viper briefly lost her balance. With the Viper off kilter, Kitty followed it up with a forearm to the jaw to further stun the silent woman before pushing Viper against the ropes and whipped her to the other side. Kitty hoped to deliver a frankensteiner on the rebound as well as a pin attempt.

At last, it seemed as though Kitty might actually stand a chance of retaking the momentum from her opponent. Not only had she managed to land a blow that caught Viper off her guard, she was already at work with following up on it, and Viper was feeling the results. As the forearm connected with her jaw, Viper started to go stumbling back further, letting out a low groan as her hands went up to protect her chin. But Kitty wasn't done with that yet - now that Viper was close to the ropes, she was in prime territory to be whipped across the ring.

To top it all off, as Viper went back towards the center, Kitty sprung up to hit her with a frankensteiner, bowling the green-haired girl right off her feet and under her opponent. She clenched her teeth and hissed in pain as she made impact, but she was showing no signs of getting up, even after Kitty pinned her.

"One!"

Now that Kitty looked like she was going somewhere, the crowd started to let out a few cheers in her favor. She looked as though she would be over her head in a situation like this, going up against such a fearsome opponent who seemed to shrug off even her best attempts at retribution. The cruel tactics Viper had resorted to towards that goal were only cementing the hate the fans felt for her. But now, Kitty had proven she was capable of turning the tides, and Viper was paying for it!

"Two!"

Now the count was approaching its zenith. Everyone sat on the edge of their seats. Viper was still laying perfectly still under Kitty, with no signs of getting back up. It looked as though Kitty had it won, as the referee raised her hand for the third count...

"Thr-WAIT! NO! Only two!"

The call caused a few boos to ring out from the stands, as Viper had been waiting until the very last moment before she kicked out of the pin, just to prove she was only toying with her masked foe. She rolled back up to a seated position, her expression still flat. "Well. Would you look at that."

[Faeron]

Kitty thought she caught Viper by surprise, but her opponent had waited until the last moment to kick out. Sighing heavily, Kitty turned back to see Viper sitting down. With a glare, she stepped forward and lashed out with an attempted boot to the face.

[CaptainL]

Viper was satisfied in kicking out of Kitty's pin attempt, thinking that she would be doing enough in disrupting the flow of the masked girl's momentum to easily take it back. She thought that Kitty would back down, and that this would give her just the right moment to strike. However, it would seem that Kitty was more content to keep up the fight than Viper had expected, as she came back around with a kick that hit the green-haired girl dead in the face, taking her onto her back!

Though she groaned a little, sore from the strike, Viper wasn't going to do anything just yet. Continuing with her plan of trying to catch Kitty by surprise, she lay there flat, waiting for the right moment when her opponent would try to push her advantage. She'd wait to see what she would do next, and form her plans from there.

[Faeron]

Kitty almost hissed at the downed Viper, lifting the debuting wrestlers legs into the air. Despite the pleas from the referee, Kitty lifted her foot up with the intent on stomping down hard onto Viper's abdomen.
