A Clash Of Classics Old And New

Alaina groaned, being heft up by the surprise power of Grace! Alaina shook her head as she was lift up and held! "N-no way you can slam...Arrrrrrgh!"

Alaina howled upon impact, letting out a long moan of pain as she kicked the mat, her backside and thighs showing a bit of bounce as her feet met the mat over and over. Gasping for breath the amazon found herself laid out on her back!

"One last thing." Instead of pressing the attack, Grace started posing, arms raised as if to show off her muscles for a non-existent crowd. "Now we're even. Alaina?"

She stood at the downed amazons side, hands on hips. "Don't take this the wrong way... but have you been keeping up with your cardio?"

"I have..." Alaina growled as she laid there trying slowly to sit up after the hard slams, finding her rise to her feet very slow.

"Not as much as your jaw has worked though." She added right as she stood, arms up and ready for a grapple!

Grace considered the amazon carefully, deciding to put Alaina's words to the test. After all, if she were fighting a heavier, stronger opponent that's the strategy she would utilize, using her speed to strain their conditioning to the limit.

She raised her arms, as if to offer a grapple, but whenever Alaina attempted to actually grab her, Grace would try to dodge out of the way. If successful, she would try the move a few more times, watching the older woman like a hawk to see how quickly she ran out if steam.

Alaina moved in and was about to grapple when Grace moved out of the way. Shaking her head Alaina again moved in and once more Grace moved out of the way! A scowl formed on Alaina's face as she moved in again, this time surging forward and trying to bulldoze Grace to the mat with a charging shoulder block! If Grace moved out of the way Alaina had a plan for that as well: Keep moving to the ropes, bounce off and then rocket back at Grace to deliver a running cross body block!

Alaina had looked very lack luster so far in this spar, and was doing her best to fix that! She could only hope her best was good enough against a younger woman who was good enough to beat Tina!

Grace saw the shoulder block coming and danced out of the way, even doing a little Ali shuffle and preening a bit over how fast she was. It seemed the tactic was working, the amazon couldn't catch her.

"Nice try, Alaina, but-Unnnff!!"

Over-confidence had a bad habit of sneaking up on you the moment things were well. Grace misjudged just how fast Alaina could move, if she were angry enough and with the added momentum granted by the ropes. The younger wrestler found herself slammed into, crashing to the mat with Alaina in a perfect position to go for a pin if she so choose!

Alaina had Grace down and stayed on top, hooking a leg!

"ONE!"

Alaina gasped for breath hoping the surprise and impact would leave Grace down for a while... hopefully a three count! However Alaina knew against her hopes that this woman was good enough to kick out. Still she had to try.

To her credit, Alaina would get all the way to the two and a half count before Grace, kicking her captured leg and bucking up in a desperate attempt to throw the amazons weight off her, finally got a shoulder off the mat.

Breathing harder now, sweat beading on her brow from the effort, the American tried to push Alaina off of her so she could stand!

"Uhn... nice try.. almost forgot how hard you hit." Grace sounded confident, despite her near loss. Alaina was sounding more then a little winded.

Alaina smiled as she heard Grace speak. She was slowly rising to her own feet before turning back at Grace. "There is more where that came from!" Alaina said as she tried to run r igbt at Grace again, this time lowering her shoulder in an attempt to shoulder block Grace to the mat!

If this connected Alaina knew it would hurt, the problem is if this failed then the amazon was the one caught in a bad spot against a crafty foe!

Grace got to her feet as well only a little faster then Alaina. Despite her near pin fall, she thought she'd stumbled on a winning strategy. Instead of changing tactics, engaging with her usual break neck offense, she was cautious, waiting for the Amazon to make the first move. Alaina didn't disappoint.

The older wrestlers charged, but Grace was waiting, spinning out of the way with the nimble skill of a matador baiting an angry bull, trying to tire the woman out. As Alaina passed, Grace gave her a teasing swat on the backside. "Almost!"
