Onigashima vs. The SoCal Connection - Ogre Invasion!

Shizuka plopped onto the mat after being brought down onto the mat with a dragon suplex earlier. "Uuughhh..." she groaned, trying her best to regain her senses. Shaking her head, she would try to focus on regaining her clarity, but before she could even get her head to clear up, she suddenly felt her opponent grabbing onto one of her feet before she was set up into an ankle lock.

"GUAHH!!!" Shizuka wailed out as she felt intense pain around her ankle when Kayla locked her into an ankle lock. She ended up onto her front, her eyes bulging out as her mouth was wide open. "AAAHHH!!!" She cried out, the pain making it hard for her to focus. Hoping to get her opponent to release her, she would try to drag herself towards her corner where her partner, Yukari was waiting for her.

"Hang in there, Shizuka-chan!!" Yukari yelled to her partner, trying to encourage her as she would hold out her hand into the ring towards the direction of her red-painted partner, hoping that she could get close enough so that they could make a tag, allowing Yukari to enter the ring and replace her partner.

With Shizuka down, Kayla had the time to act, and she knew that when she was dealing with an opponent as agile as this one was, she would be happy to take any opportunity she could get to even the playing field. Not allowing Shizuka the chance to get up, she took hold of her ankle, yanking her leg back up towards her as she cranked back on her ankle. Clenching her teeth to stay focused, Kayla pulled back hard, trying to hang on tight.

It wouldn't be enough to keep Shizuka immobilized, though, and even despite the pain Kayla was putting her through, the red-painted girl was still able to drag herself towards the corner, to where her partner waited for the tag. Kayla tried to stick it out as long as she could, fighting through the motion of Shizuka beneath her to try and keep it up, but before long, Shizuka had her hand reaching out - and Yukari was there, ready to take it. The ref stepped in to break up Kayla's hold, and she let go of Shizuka's leg, stepping back to dust off her hands and look up at Yukari as she prepared herself for what would come next.

She met the challenge with a smirk, starting to get into a stance. "All right, then," Kayla said, "let's see what you can do!"

Shizuka struggled hard to drag herself towards her partner despite being trapped in the ankle lock. Eventually, she finally reached Yukari before she slapped her outstretched hand. Nodding, Yukari would slip into the ring, and Shizuka would give her an apologetic look as she got back up after being released from the ankle lock. She would hobble out of the ring and stand on the apron, hoping that she could take this opportunity to recover.

"S-sorry..." Shizuka muttered to her partner, who just smiled in return.

"Don't worry. Just take a rest," Yukari told the red-painted girl before she turned her attention on Kayla, who had taken a stance. Rolling her shoulder a bit, she would also take a stance. "Well, since you're asking for it..." she said before she rushed in, looking to lock up with Kayla.

But the moment she was within her opponent's reach, Yukari would try to change her trajectory, slipping past her opponent as she would attempt to deliver a kick to the side of Kayla's body!

While the two girls shared a quick moment to talk over their plan, Kayla stayed back, working some of the kinks out of her arms as she swung them at her sides to limber herself up in preparation for what her next opponent would bring to the table. Their conversation had given her some time to recuperate, and after the fast-paced assault she had seen from Shizuka, Kayla felt she would need this. Eventually, though, she had readied herself, and she looked back up to size up Shizuka's partner, now entering the ring.

"Then let's go," Kayla said, raising her hands up in front of her. It looked like Yukari was going to join her in a lockup, and that was what Kayla had prepared herself for, as she lowered herself into position to meet Yukari in such a move. But she would realize too late that Yukari had a different tactic planned, as just as it looked like the two were about to make contact Yukari swerved to the side! Kayla tried to catch her, swinging her arms forward, but it was no use, as Yukari had already kicked her leg forward, catching Kayla in the side. She was knocked off her footing, tumbling onto the mat as her feet gave out from under her.

Yukari successfully slipped past Kayla after tricking her before she delivered a kick right at her side, which made Kayla lose her footing, giving the blue-painted girl to keep it up. Now standing behind Kayla, Yukari would then proceed to deliver a few kicks at her opponent's back, trying to hit her several times at the same spot in order to hurt her opponent.

Yukari planned to finish her series of kicks with one final roundhouse kick aimed at the side of Kayla's head, which she was sure would leave her utterly disoriented, exposed and vulnerable to anything that Yukari would try to do next.

Still sore from Yukari's foot connecting with her back, Kayla winced, her teeth clenching with pain as she began to roll back onto her elbows and knees to try and fight through the sensation and get back on her feet. However, she wouldn't get very far, as Yukari continued to aim her kicks for the same spot, already softened up from the last one. With a hiss, she fell back into the mat, her balance giving out from under her.

However, Kayla wasn't stupid. With such a setup, she could surmise that Yukari was getting her sufficiently weakened in order to lead right into something stronger - something she was set to avoid, if she could get away with it. As Yukari started to get in position for the roundhouse kick, Kayla went to duck down and dodge it. If that worked, her next move would be to go straight for her corner, seeing if she might have any luck tagging Ashley into the ring.

"Tch!" Yukari clicked her tongue in annoyance when Kayla ducked under her roundhouse kick. Missing her attack, Yukari would quickly regain her footing, preparing herself in case if Kayla went for a counterattack. But then, she saw Kayla rushing over to her partner, Ashley, tagging her in.

Well, considering that Yukari was still relatively fresh due to her being tagged in just a while ago, she wasn't too worried. She would let Kayla tag Ashley in as she would wait for the other girl to come in. She would assume a stance as she would beckon Ashley to come to her, preparing herself to clash with her opponent.

"Come on, show me what you got!" Yukari said, trying to gauge Ashley's reaction.

After the grueling grind of the match up to this point, Kayla needed some time to recover, even if she had managed to avoid taking worse damage by dodging the roundhouse kick. She knew her luck couldn't hold out forever, though, and she wasn't going to take her chances. For now, she was going to hand things off to Ashley as she got to the corner, tagging her hand with the redhead's as the two swapped positions. Ash smirked at her partner, giving her a playful slap on the rear before she took her place in the ring, looking across at Yukari as she raised her fists in a fighting stance.

"You asked for it!" Ashley said. With that, she charged straight in towards Yukari to feint a jab, only to swing her fist in the opposite direction towards Yukari's head at the last minute, trying to catch her off guard.

Yukari saw Ashley charging straight at her, and the blue oni smirked, knowing that her opponent was going for a punch. Seeing Ashley throwing a jab at her, Yukari would try to dodge the attack, but then, she realized that the jab was just a feint as her opponent swung her fist in the opposite direction, hitting her at her head.

"Aughh!!"

Yukari cried out in pain as Ashley's fist hit her at her head. The attack left her reeling, but as she scowled at Ashley, Yukari gritted her teeth as she would try to retaliate despite her mind jumbled by attempting to deliver a straight toe kick right into her exposed belly, looking to knock the wind out of her lungs and make her double over from the attack.

Seeing that her feint worked out perfectly, Ashley chuckled to herself, a toothy grin spreading over her face as she cheered on her own success. "Yes!" she said, pumping a fist in the air. She was sure she would need to capitalize on the opening she was now presented with, and she prepared to close back in on Yukari, getting into a stance with her fists raised.

However, she would soon find herself interrupted, as Yukari shot back out with a kick, nailing Ash swiftly in the stomach! Sure enough, the redhead doubled over forward, leaving her open to the blue oni's next attack.
