Match Type: Standard Match Rules: Victory by submission, pinfall, or knockout
----
Yuki Kazikura sat back in the locker room, resting her hands on her knees as she let out a huff. Still in her school uniform she had worn over from the classes she had had earlier that day, she wasn't scheduled for a match tonight - but she had come regardless, in order to support a friend, who was. After she had helped Mayori make her debut in the LAW ring, the two girls were quick to form a friendship, and Yuki had seen the potential in her skills. Though she had made an upset victory over the rookie, in no small part due to how Yuki had underestimated her, Yuki had no hard feelings; in fact, she wanted to get to know Mayori closer, even if the two could hardly understand one another through their different dialects. It was this that had taken her to tonight, where she had agreed to stay in Mayori's corner for their match, to support her and cheer her on.
What Yuki didn't realize was just who Mayori was up against - as she had been booked to face Cecilia Lombard. The thought of this made Yuki gulp; not only was this woman outside their weight class (if only by 15 pounds), she had a reputation for being a cruel and merciless fighter, eager to fight dirty and inflict pain. She could only hope that Mayori would be ready for it. She took a moment to glance around, to see if her partner was ready to come out; she had, of course, respected her privacy in getting changed. Just outside, however, a different scene was playing out before the audiences, as the lights on the stage went dark, while the ring announcer spoke.
"The following match is scheduled for one fall! Coming first to the ring, from Detroit, Michigan, at 5'5 and weighing 135 lbs., CECILIA LOMBARD!" Cecilia Lombard

As the lights came down on the entrance ramp to illuminate her way, Cecilia came to the ring, rolling her neck and shoulders as she went to limber herself up. Her dark, silver-highlighted hair was worn loose, and she tossed it to the side with her step, though she would tie it into a side ponytail upon reaching the ring. With that being done, she looked back out, reaching for the microphone to say a few words of her own.
"All right, all right," Cecilia said. "Where's the bitch I've gotta beat up next? C'mon, I don't have all day." Cecilia's disrespect towards her fellow wrestlers drew a few boos from the crowd already, but she merely shook her head and looked back with a scowl.
Fixing her shoulder strap on the left side, Mayori came into view wearing her newer ring gear. Spoiler
She gave herself a quick look in the mirror and tightened her ponytail. The announcement was made from the ring and even though Mayori didn't understand what was being said, Yuki was giving her a heads up that it was time to go get behind the curtain.
Mayori walked out of the locker room alongside Yuki and was trying to get into the right psyche for her opponent, and then she heard a screeching and angry voice shouting something from inside of the arena. She peeked through the curtain, seconds before her music was to start playing and saw that her obvious opponent was handing the microphone back to the ring announcer. Whatever she had to say was directed at her, she surmised. It seemed like a taunt or a challenge to Mayori.
Mayori emerged onto the stage and made her way down the ramp with Yuki behind her. This appeared strange to the audience given the last time they saw these two together. Both were among the newest crop of LAW wrestlers, so was this the early start of a faction? The crowd thought it so.
The more relaxed wrestler between them was Mayori. She had no idea what Cecilia Lombard stood for nor that not many girls were left being able to stand after their encounters with her. Mayori came into the match with a plan for strikes until it was time to take leaps off of any surface down upon her opponent. Stepping under the ropes, Mayori took her place in the corner and awaited the referee's beckoning so that she could approach the middle for the instructions - which Yuki would had trouble explaining herself.
With Mayori coming out from around the corner, Yuki looked over to smile at her and offer a thumbs-up. She would give her the space she'd need to fix her hair, but she stood back in view of the mirrors so that Mayori would still be able to see what she was doing. In truth, this was the first time Yuki got a good look at her friend's new gear, but she liked it. She was sure that such a polished look would do well for Mayori as she made her way in this business, forging a name for herself.
Soon enough, it was time for the two of them to proceed to the ring, Yuki staying close by Mayori's side. She had a look of confidence on her face; knowing that Mayori could be nervous in situations like this, she wanted to make up for it. Maybe, she thought, having someone with more experience, who had grown used to being in the ring and taking on any challenge head-on, it would bolster Mayori's nerves and make her feel like she could do it. Certainly, she would need all the help she could get where Cecilia was concerned - and when Yuki saw her, already there in the ring, her blood ran cold. Mayori had definitely proven herself capable in her last match - but Cecilia was a different story. Could she do this? Despite the proud facade she put up, Yuki began to become overcome by uncertainty, with each step being made with more hesitation. The thought of what Cecilia could do to Mayori struck fear in her - she'd heard the rumors that she'd hospitalized opponents before, and as far as she was concerned, she saw no reason not to believe it. Nevertheless, Mayori didn't seem to be bothered by it, which made Yuki breathe a sigh of relief. Either she was confident enough with this, or she just didn't know what she was getting into. She hoped the former.
As Mayori entered the ring, Cecilia looked her over, saying nothing but keeping her arms folded as she looked at her with a sneer. She evidently wasn't impressed with what she saw, and she hoped to strike some fear into Mayori just before the match so that the newcomer would know just who she was dealing with. As the ref explained the rules, Cecilia stayed quite close to her, looking over at her with a devious grin. Just as the proceedings were concluding, she twisted her head to the side from one shoulder to the other, still with a maniacal look on her face in an unspoken threat to Mayori.
*DING DING DING*
With that, the bell had rung, and Yuki stood at ringside, watching the matters tensely. She took in a gulp, wishing all the best for her friend.
Mayori came out of her corner with a bounce, her midnight ponytail bobbing and flowing as she took a modest pace sidestepping her way in a clockwise direction.
For her, this meant that Cecilia’s right side was the primary target for Mayori’s left leg. Her hands came up to just below her chin, turning her stance from neutral to aggressor. Cecilia needed to be the one to suffer a hit first, so Mayori moved with the expressed purpose of initiating contact. Upon closing the gap, Mayori attempts to probe her her opponent’s defenses with just a couple of strikes then lunge in with her shin-kick against the lower leg.
As Mayori approached her, Cecilia watched with her hands on her hips, not moving from her spot or even blinking. She smirked to Mayori, knowing full well that she was facing off against a rookie - a fact she would be willing to exploit. If Mayori had any insecurities, Cecilia wanted to bring them out of her by appearing all the world like a confident, in-control master, someone she'd think twice before engaging. Such psychological warfare was a skill Cecilia valued keeping in her toolbox, and it was times like these where it was especially valuable.
Still, if Mayori was nervous going into this match, she didn't show it. The girl kept up her stance, facing Cecilia down and looking like she was ready. We'll see about that, was all Cecilia thought to herself. She allowed Mayori to come in closer, moving her hands up to block the jabs she made against her as she tried to weave around her oncoming attacks. However, Mayori did manage to land a kick against Cecilia's leg. A groan escaped the American girl, who fell to her knee as the footing was swept out from under her. But Cecilia still had the fight in her, even if she was now at waist height to Mayori. She would lean forward, trying to throw her arms around her opponent's waist to lock in a grapple before she would try to raise herself to her feet, pulling Mayori up along with her for a fireman's carry.
Mayori acted like she expected Cecilia to go down by the way she kept encroaching into the close quarters space.
But when she got inside her opponent’s reach, the girl in white found herself lifted by the waist and put onto Cecilia’s shoulders. Her boots kicked in the air with protest and she let out a yelp.
This part was the unexpected outcome from Mayori chopping down her opponent with that well-placed kick. But, Yuki may have guessed it was coming.

Yuki was tense as she looked on, her fingers coiling around the ropes. While she had never been in a match with Cecilia herself, she was well aware of what she was capable of doing, and now that she was seeing it up close, she was already wincing in sympathy for Mayori. The torture rack was one of Cecilia's finishers, after all, and a move she'd perfected.
But Cecilia wasn't set on using it here, at least not yet. The match had just begun, and there would be no fun in taking out Mayori so quickly when there was so much more she could do with her. A smirk came to her lips, but she would proceed to drop herself back to drive Mayori into the mat with a suplex while she fell to her side, ready to take advantage of the change in positions.
Mayori was taken down with a smooth, arcing duplex that caused her to hit the canvas with her shoulders first.
“AOHHHH!” She cries out. Her arms immediately cradled the back of her head. The pain in her shoulder seemed to stop at the base of her skull. Had she been angled any steeper by that sudden maneuver, it would have been a driver and not a suplex. The effect was bad enough.
She rolled onto her side and caught sight of Yuki holding on to the rope. The look on her face told Mayori should change how she was mentally approaching this match. She got her right knee under her and started to get back up.
Yuki might have been nervous as Cecilia got herself into position to apply the pain to Mayori, but even that couldn't prepare her for when the blow actually landed. With a thud going through the ring on impact, Yuki winced, almost as if she had felt the pain herself. Just watching it was enough to make her tremble.
But when she opened her eyes, she would see Mayori already starting to get back up! A smile spread across her face, as she was convinced her friend could still do this. Yuki cheered for Mayori for a moment - something that Cecilia was, apparently, less than impressed about, as it wasn't long before the woman in black shot her a stinkeye as she was in turn getting to her feet. The look of spite on her face was enough to cause Yuki to go silent, though the held on tighter to the ropes to try and steel herself.
In the meantime, Cecilia was already starting to walk back towards where Mayori had fallen. Not wishing to give her the time to stabilize herself, Cecilia went to grab her opponent by the chin to lift her head up. If successful, her next move would be to jump back and spike Mayori straight back down to the mat with a sitout facebuster!
Mayori’s chin was cupped and then squeezed between Cecilia’s fingers. Her hands grasp onto those of the black-clad wrestler. She stabilizes herself on her feet and stands with her head controlled somewhat.
Mayori winces and glares as she’s taken forward. Before she can do a wrist-break and snap her head away from Cecilia, she’s put under the sudden downward force of a fade-away facebuster!
Mayori’s forehead and bridge of her nose smack the canvas between the shadows of her opponent’s thighs, making a terrible sound. Thin layers of flesh over bone on thinly covered wooden planks.
THUD! And then the sound of Mayori’s face bouncing after the impact. Thud-THUD!
“AOHHHH!”
Mayori’s hands covered up her face and she kicked against the mat with her boots, showing that the move really inflamed her senses. The entire row behind Yuki, closest to the spot of Mayori’s impact, cringed and let out a sympathetic “Ohhh!” for the poor girl. A few of them stood up and looked over the railing as Mayori managed to roll onto her side, facing them with her elongated and shuddering form.
