Kicking out at the last minute, Yuki took in a deep breath. That was close - too close. Mayori might have been new around here, but she was still proving herself to be perfectly capable, and someone Yuki would have to be on her toes around if she didn't want to be caught in any nasty surprises like that one.
Unfortunately, as she took a moment to get her bearings and rise to her knees, Yuki would soon see it illustrated exactly why she would need to take her own words to heart; Mayori would surprise her once again! She threw a chop at her, taking her right back to the mat as the crowd let out a simultaneous groan in sympathy for the yellow-clad rookie, but also a cheer for Mayori, who was proving to be more adept than she looked. While both girls were just hitting their stride, Yuki had still been in the ring more times than Mayori had, but even now, Mayori was proving to be a formidable foe. However, Yuki wouldn't be down quite yet; she had to move. Before Mayori could take advantage of her, Yuki would try to roll her way towards the ropes in order to get some much-needed distance away from her opponent. If she made it there, she could also be right in her element to get in a more favorable position.

Re: Yuki Kazikura vs. Mayori [D]
Mayori’s chop landed, then her fingers and palm lit up her hand with a tingling sensation after then contact. Yuki was sent from her knees back down to the canvas, but in a retreat as well.
The ropes were not an optimal place to keep up the attack, Mayori recognized. She had a height advantage while crouched, but she needed to be on her feet.
Mayori rose up and pushed back her bangs as she followed Yuki the short distance to the ropes. Devising her next move, she bent over at the waist and attempted to grapple Yuki by the head. She tried to keep from pulling any of Yuki’s hair in the process.
The moment was more exhilarating than the pinfall attempt. Mayori was once again on the attack in her first ever professional wrestling match. She felt like she had finally found her stride in making Yuki retreat. The rush overtook her and she let out a warcry that the audience would recognize as a rally from the debuting girl.

Re: Yuki Kazikura vs. Mayori [D]
Yuki just had to get to the ropes, she thought. She might have been fairly good as an all-around wrestler, and her striking skills were nothing to scoff at either, but so far she hadn't been able to do any of the work where she truly excelled - her high-flying moves and athletic prowess. If she could just get to the top rope, she might be able to launch an attack on Mayori that could turn the tide...
But to her surprise, Mayori proved to be more aggressive than expected! Not giving her the opportunity to reposition herself, Mayori followed Yuki to the ropes, and just as the yellow-leotard-clad girl was getting up, Mayori grabbed her by the head, denying her the opportunity of escape! Crying out in surprise, Yuki fell back, pulled against Mayori's hold as she shouted out with a warrior's cry. All the while the crowd was getting behind her as well, cheering and clapping for the unassuming rookie to prove herself in the ring.

Re: Yuki Kazikura vs. Mayori [D]
Mayori was momentarily distracted by the cheering. The yelling was for herself and this first crowd reaction in favor increased her heart rate.
She brought Yuki back from the ropes and chose to attempt to plant her in the middle of the ring with a scoopslam. Mayori wanted to feel the rush from the audience more and raised her free arm into the air and shouted again, this time it was intelligible.
“Going up!” She shouted in Japanese.
She then threw Yuki’s left arm over her own right shoulder and made a move put her right between Yuki’s legs.

Re: Yuki Kazikura vs. Mayori [D]
Just because Mayori's display was for herself didn't mean that the audience didn't eat it up. It was the classic story of the underdog going the distance and proving herself, and seeing her face her opponent with such passion and bravery inspired them. Even Yuki would know it, as she thought back to her first time in the ring, and how she had had to prove herself capable despite her unassuming appearances. She didn't know what to think at first either, but once she had pushed through to meet the challenge, everyone was there to rally behind her. Now, it was happening all over again.
Mayori seemed to have further plans in mind, as she slammed Yuki down into the middle of the ring, causing the girl to wince as her back hit the canvas. The crowds were cheering Mayori louder, some even lifting their fists in the air as she did. Yuki wouldn't have time to fully recover before Mayori lifted her up on her shoulders, causing her to let out a gasp.

Re: Yuki Kazikura vs. Mayori [D]
Mayori’s thrill in the moment further purged the feelings she had coming down the ramp.
The successful body slam she just executed prompted her instinct that another would suffice in stunning Yuki enough to follow up with a leg drop. She let out another warcry, spreading her legs to provide herself a wide enough base to help Yuki back up from the canvas. Her feminine grunt as she tried to position her hands again for a second scoopslam was anxious and purposeful.
Mayori felt seconds away from another blitzed pinfall attempt.

Re: Yuki Kazikura vs. Mayori [D]
Yuki had only been up in the air for a few short moments before Mayori hurled her to the mat, fueled by the energy of her momentum. She hit the canvas with a groan, bouncing its surface against the weight of her impact. But Mayori was on a roll, and the crowd was heating up to a fevered pitch as they witnessed the intensity of her moves. There was no stopping her!
The girl in yellow would barely have any time to recover from the slam before Mayori let loose another blow, this time throwing herself down to hit the downed Yuki with a leg drop. She coughed and gasped, bucking forward from the sharp smack of her opponent's leg and foot into her own stomach, but the next thing she knew, Mayori had already pulled her back up to her feet, and then went for another bodyslam! Everything was starting to go by in a blur, as Mayori was chaining together moves too quickly for Yuki to keep up with, and by the time she had hit the canvas again, the pain in her gut hadn't even subsided.

Re: Yuki Kazikura vs. Mayori [D]
Mayori’s hands shook with adrenaline. She felt her heart fluttering. This was what her trainer - before she quit wrestling academy- described as the love of the sport of wrestling. This was what we she was feeling. It had to be.
She went for another cover on Yuki and completed the pin by hooking the far (left) leg. The attempt was performed almost two meters from the nearest bottom rope.
“Cover!” She shouted out loud. The small of her back was inches from Yuki’s chin as she held on.

Re: Yuki Kazikura vs. Mayori [D]
With Mayori's call sounding through the ring, the ref girl ran over, diving to slide in closer to the action. Yuki's leg was snared, and she was still wincing from the impact she had taken, too much so to fight back as the first count came in.
"One!"
With each slap of the canvas, the crowd's energy seemed to swell, cheering Mayori on. Though she came to the ring nervous, shy, and afraid, she had managed to overcome that. She had managed to draw on the strength she needed to carry her through, falling into a groove and pulling through in the end. And now, everyone could witness the change in her, as she now had shown herself ready to prove herself in the ring.
"Two!"
Yuki was starting to come to her senses now, blinking as she looked up. Her heart pounded, and she saw how close things had gotten. The ref's hand was already raised to make the next count, the syllable forming in her mouth. Yuki had just a few seconds, if that, to save herself. She would start to collect herself, squeezing her fists and trying to go for a kick-
"THREE!"
And then the bell rang, and with it, the crowd broke into raucous applause. Yuki had been just barely too slow - and Mayori had come out on top! For a moment she was frustrated, but the disappointment would soon fade; Mayori had, after all, defeated her fair and square, and she would concede to that. As she rolled up to a sitting position before getting up to dust herself off, the referee held Mayori's arm up in triumph, presenting her victory to the spectators.

Re: Yuki Kazikura vs. Mayori [D]
Mayori was breathless.
The wrestling academy drop out heard three THUD’s as she held on to Yuki’s leg. The accompanying bell wasn’t what got her to let go, it was the referee’s hand upon her shoulder. She released Yuki’s leg from the hook pin and rolled off of her. She sat beside her fallen opponent and panting heavily. The rush was still flowing through her tense fingers.
She fell backwards and rested upon her back for a few seconds. When she stood up, she put both hands over her mouth in disbelief. Her eyes watered and the audience couldn’t hear what was she saying to herself. The referee reached for one of her hands and managed to raise her left arm up.
The emotional moment was not lost upon the crowd as they saw the tearful girl. Mayori kept bowing towards them, obviously grateful and honored just to have been in this ring. When the referee released her hand, she would fall onto her knees and bury her face in her hands one more time. After a minute of collecting herself, she would make her way to Yuki to embrace her.
The yellow clad woman’s warning at the onset of the match was the catalyst for this result. A sporting hug was called for and Mayori got her first lesson in over year.
