Julia paced backstage in an attempt to take the focus off the butterflies in her stomach. It was her first match back after recovering from an injury to her foot and she was afraid that the time off had dulled her skills. Adding a bit of dread to her situation was the fact that her opponent today was only referred to as "The Lynx." Sure it wasn't the most intimidating cat out there but this was the lightweight division and a lynx was still a predator.
"Pfff I bet she won't be that tough. Especially when you bend her into a pretzel!" Julia said out loud in an attempt to pump herself up.

Once in the middle of the ring Julia looked towards the entrance. "Alright. Let's make this cat purr...or...ummm...declaw this kitty?" She said, her face now turning a slight shade of red. "TAME THIS WILD CAT!" Julia finally blurted out.
Quickly the gymnast bent down to touch her toes in hopes that it would distract the crowd from her stumbling. "Really messed that one up..." She mumbled to herself as she started her customary prematch stretches.
