A Lesson in Toughness (for Fairy Dragon)

A roll of her eyes was all the response Rosie gave to Miranda trying to tell her about the law enforcement. It was hardly the biggest thing on her mind right now. But Knuckles paid more attention as Mira talked about what her story was. She fought back a chuckle a few times at the parts she had considered more ridiculous than the others. She kept it together, mostly out of respect for the girl who was currently paying for her drinks. But Rosie held up a hand and said, "Hold on, hold on, hold on. So... your idea was to look tough... by asking people to punch you in the belly. There's like, one A-Can chick who somehow gets away with something as dumb as that, and it's only because she owns it by calling herself a Jelly Belly Princess or something like that." Rosie rolled her eyes at the idea and then heaved a sigh before taking another drink.

"But okay, you did something stupid. We've all done that. ...Granted maybe not for as big of a crowd... and maybe not in such a humiliating fashion... but, no shame in it. Except for the shame of it." Rosie paused and then muttered. "I'm not helping..." And she cleared her throat and then spoke up again. "But okay, you have this horrible thing happen to you that everyone saw. So how did you get your revenge on the chick who did it?" asked Rosie non-chalantly, leaning against the bar, expecting an interesting answer.

"What? That wasnt my plan..I just danced is all. I never wanted to make a living off people punching my guts black and blue. That stuff is painful." She said waving off the odd idea, that sounded extremely painful. "Yeah I know who your talking about. Not sure what her deal is, I think anyone who invites that kind of pain is a masochist...and her voice is grating on the ears when she yells. Certaintly not what I'm going for either." She said not liking how the women seemed to be thinking she brought most of it on herself, she was just trying to stick to what she knew to get some kind of attention.

"Yeah..no thats not very helpful" She sulked before being asked about the women in question, which was another embarrassing story. "I dont even know where she went. She doesnt stick around the place at all. She gets booked in matches with big name opponents shows up for that and poof shes gone again. Only reason I fought her was because I was booked against 'mystery opponent' and it was her debut. Since then they pretty much treat her and me like two different levels."

Rosie thought on Mira's response for a few moments before downing the rest of her drink and looking over at the bartender. "Keep 'em coming," she said casually, still taking advantage of the free drinks she was getting for this conversation.

She then gave Mira a look like she almost pitied her and said, "Yeah, okay. So no revenge. Have you done, like, anything to prove you're a chick that shouldn't be messed with that didn't involve having a typical wrestling match that literally everyone in this company does?" Knuckles then held up a hand, as if telling her to pause and wait for her to stop talking before she would reply. "I'm guessing no since we wouldn't be talking right now about this. So yeah. You got it bad right now, girl. But it's not impossible to bounce back from. But I feel like we need to first start at your attitude. What did you do after you got humiliated and how did you feel? And please don't answer like I'm your psychiatrist." The tough babe would then grab her second drink that was placed down before her and then pick it up, taking a sip.

"Well in one match with this blonde I-" She went to start before she was stopped by Rosie who continued downing drinks and offering advice to her. Mira didnt really want to miss anything since any of this could be useful even if some of it ended up not being the case. Then she asked for how she felt after her humiliating loss.

"Well I motly just felt like I was a disappointment. And constantly feeling sad and annoyed at myself for letting that happen."Mira said, finishing her drink to get another one and continue the conversation maybe drinking more will help her get all this nonsense out of her.

"See, here's your issue," said Rosie, wagging a finger at her brunette drinking buddy. "You threw a fucking pity party for yourself." Then, in a mocking tone, Knuckles mocked crying with her hand by her cheek and said, "Waah, I lost a match and got destroyed and embarrassed and now nobody wants to watch me belly dance no more." Despite it seeming kind of mean, Rosie didn't mean for it to be mean. It was just her rather prickly attitude that led that.

"But what the hell do you think is going to happen if you let yourself get sad at yourself? You think people can't see through you to that? You don't think that when they beat you, they'll know that you'll be back to moping over your loss?" The brawler scoffed. "You should be pissed! Because you are better than that! Some fucking asshole did that to you, and you're sad about it? You should be pissed! Pissed at her for taking advantage of you! Be pissed at yourself for fucking up to let yourself be put in that position in the first place! Don't get disappointed, get angry! Get determined! Your first thought shouldn't be that you're bummed out you lost; it should be that you're pissed off that it happened and determined to make sure it doesn't happen again!"

Rosie took a healthy sip of her drink and narrowed her gaze at Mira and then finished by saying, "You're only as good as you are at your worst. You freaking remember that, Mira. Make your worst better."

"I said I was sad, not that I spent all my time-Ahh" Mira felt that it was pointless, she was getting slightly drunk and annoyed and Rosie clearly had a direction she was taking this conversation. No matter what Mira had to say on it, though she was still going to try and say some things if she felt it would get ehr point across.

"I was pissed! But that doesnt fix anything. No matter how much I show how angry I am im stuck with that image in peoples heads. How do I get that out of them, what change up my style or something?" She asked voice somewhat slurred do to not at all being used to drinking like this or talking this much while she did.

Rosie nearly let out a laugh at Mira's question. "Maybe because you haven't changed your image at all!" she answered bluntly, feeling louder and far more brazen giving her advice, and obviously much less reserved about it."I mean, did you look in the mirror when you got ready today? You can't just be angry and then say, 'I've changed.' Literally everyone on the planet can get angry! Why are you blaming other people for not seeing you different when you can't see yourself as anything different than the same girl that got humiliated!?"

Knuckles groaned loudly and shook her head. "You don't like yourself, obviously, or else you wouldn't have these issues with how people see you. Just tell me what you don't like about yourself. Go. Let's hear it. And you can't say 'people don't take me seriously'. Be it personality or fighting. And please don't give me a turn to point out your flaws to you," explained Rosie, ending on a half-joke with the girl as she continued to drink, eyeing her closely.

"I like my look just fine, and I dont see how a makeover is going to scream I changed, at the most its gonna be seen as me trying to look like some touch chick and make me look fake." Miranda admitted though she did admit that some issues seemed to pertain to her look it was smore how people perceived her rather then the issue with her looks themselves, afterall someone who looks silly but still kicks ass is still a threat no one wants to mess with.

"I dont know..I guess at times I think I'm too nice, I get pretty mean in the ring but I can never channel that anger or meaness when I need to and it never really lasts." She said as she rested on the counter. "That and I feel my style is counterproductive, when I panic I get into a brawling state and I'm just not a brawler. I think I lack the necessary instincts to get the job done when it matters."

Rosie Knuckles watched as Mira laid against the counter and glanced to the side as she listened to her, thinking on it and frankly not wanting to watch her as she mused about her own shortcomings. The cotton candy-haired chick ran a hand over her face and then looked back at Mira when she finished. "Okay... I kinda get it. But you really need those instincts for a fighter. And you should never, ever be panicking. If you panic, you lose. Period. End of story. You can't control yourself, then your opponent is doing the controlling."

The brawler thought on that for a few more moments before just asking outright, "Why are you even wrestling in the first place? Just... for what reason exactly? Everyone's got a reason. You don't do this crap if you don't have a good reason to, Mira." She thought, maybe, this might be the key to getting to the bottom of this with her lost companion right now.

Mira let her continue since she was the one offering advise, she of course did want some kind of advise and while she didnt think all of It was solid some of them were actually worth there merit. Even the obvious things like the fact she needed the instinct for wrestling she knew but didnt help that it was something she truly needed.

"Well..I just like it you know. I fell in love with the sport as a whole and even in my first match I was kind of good at it. So I wanted to do it more and keep doing it." She explained it wasnt the most epic of stories but it was the truth nonetheless.
