Dana Ashford vs. Wicke Sykes - Sword of Damocles

While Dana's fist managed to make its contact on Wicke's face, she wasn't in a good condition either. The strikes to her chin as well as the chop left her reeling, and she couldn't get herself following up her attack. All she could manage to do was to roll herself away from Wicke, struggling so that she could reach the ropes.

Hopefully, by distancing herself from her opponent, she could at least regain some of her lost strength, which would allow her to fight her opponent. She had to admit that Wicke was a very good opponent, and she could tell that her opponent had a great chance to defeat her in this match. Still, Dana didn't plan to lose either, so she would pull herself up so that she could start her recovery.

Dana decided evasion was a better option, so Wicke would be left in the centre of the ring take care of her hurt cheek. She was quite lucky that no teeth were broken from such a move. It wasn't crippling, but was discomforting from Wicke's perspective. "I guess it is back to square one for me" thought the researcher as she was ready to take on Dana again. There was not any sign fear on her face for she was driven to obtain victory.

Despite the time she has left the ring, it seems that Wicke's competitive drive still remains inside her. With how resilient Dana was, Wicke grew to respect her opponent believing her as worthy. Maybe if Dana turns out to be the non-vengeful type, the two could have a proper talk. Especially since they are still fighting for supremacy.

She went off in pursuit towards Dana who was trying to reach for the ropes. "I am awfully sorry but I can't let you breathe for long." said Wicke as grabbed her opponent by the neck, pulling her a little closer to the centre. Closing her other fist reeling it back, the purple haired woman tried pummelling the Smiling Demon in the chest with a few sharp jabs.

As Dana tried to reach the ropes, Wicke was already closing in, and before he could grab the ropes, the researcher managed to grab her by her neck before she was dragged towards the center of the ring. "Nrghhhhh!!!" Wincing, Dana would try to fight back, but she was unable to stop Wicke from launching her next attack, which was a series of jabs aimed to her chest.

"Nnnghhh!! Nngghhhh!!!" The jabs did their job very well, and Dana was left breathless by those attacks. She brought her hands to the spot where she was hit, and she gasped in pain, trying to regain her breath. At this point, she was in no shape to fight back, and Wicke would be wise to take advantage of this while she still could.

Remain on the attack, don't give your foe any time to breath. That was Wicke's aim for now. It rather ruthless and simpleminded for a woman like her, but that is how battles were won. After grinding into Dana's chest with her fist, Wicke looked at her rather vulnerable opponent. The reason Wicke was being rather aggressive in this match, is because she was secretly afraid of her opponent, worried that Dana would retaliate with more ferocity.

With Dana guarding her chest, her stomach was left unguarded and Wicke was going to exploit that. As fast as she can, Wicke shot her leg aiming for a kick to the taller woman's gut. This would surely make Dana bend forward slightly as a result of the pain. Wicke would hook her arm around Dana's neck. "I wonder if this will hurt, since you have handled all my other techniques" whispered the researcher before attempting to bring her opponent down with a DDT.

Grimacing as she nursed her aching chest, Dana planned to retaliate and counter whatever Wicke would try to throw at her next. She became a seasoned veteran by conquering her opponents, not losing to them. But this time, she was unable to stop whatever her opponent was doing as she took a toe kick right into her belly, causing her to gasp out in pain as she ended up doubling over before Wicke. "Hurghhh!!!"

With her doubling over before Wicke, Dana was then pulled into a front facelock, and still breathless from the kick to her belly, she was unable to get her head out of the hold as Wicke then brought her head down into the mat with a DDT! "AARGHH!!!" She let out a pained scream as her head impacted against the canvas, and she then slumped on the mat, her bottom half sticking up in the air, her body twitching, vulnerable before her opponent.

The late stages of the match were mostly in Wicke's favour. With all the punishment dealt, an outside observer may have assumed Wicke was the heel instead. It seemed that Dana had the willpower and endurance to not lose, but not the stamina to keep on the offensive. Screams came from Dana's mouth throughout the match, but the most recent one from the DDT caused Wicke to tremble slightly.

"This will not do in the slightest" commented Wicke looking at her opponent's position. The purple haired woman ran towards the ropes parallel to her opponent. She rebounded from the side launching herself to where Dana would be lying. Wicke would make one fateful jump aiming a bodysplash in an attempt to flatten her foe. Back in the day, Wicke used this move effectively through the use of speed. Nowadays, weight was the main factor.

Wicke laid on top of her opponent after crushing her. "You are quite the resilient foe Dana Ashford. It seems you have a brick wall for a body, but everything has a limit. That is indisputable proof." stated Wicke rather boldly as she got into a kneeling position beside the heel. She barely had the reach for this hold. Hooking the head with one arm and the legs together with the other, she rolled onto her back, causing Dana to be suspended over the researcher's knees. Gritting her teeth, Wicke pulled down with her arms, while pushing up with the knees to bend Dana's body for the bow and arrow submission. Will Dana land one swing and keep the match going?

After taking the DDT, Dana felt like everything around her was spinning, and she remained on the mat, unable to move as Wicke went towards the ropes, rebounding from them before returning back to her. Despite her knowing what her opponent was about to do, she was unable to stop Wicke from hitting her with a body splash, and Dana was flattened under her opponent's weight. "UURRGHHH!!!" Her eyes widened and her lungs emptied from having the full frame of Wicke splashing her.

Breathless and in pain, Dana was exposed to what Wicke would do next, and sure enough, the researcher decided to put her in a submission hold. Wicke displayed her strength by bringing her up into a bow and arrow submission hold, bending Dana's body. "AAAAGHHH!!!" Dana screamed out in agony, too hurt to even consider struggling. In addition to all the damages that she had taken, she didn't have much left in her to even fight back. Wicke had proven herself to be quite a fighter, and at this point, Dana saw no other choices.

"I... I SUBMIT!" Dana yelled out, showing a strained expression. She tried to tap her hand, hoping to get her point across. It was rare for the seasoned veteran to lose clean in such a way, but Wicke had proven herself to be a very outstanding wrestler, so she deserved this win after all she had done to Dana earlier. Seeing Dana submitting to Wicke, the referee would quickly call for the bell before telling Wicke to release Dana from the hold, considering that she had defeated the Smiling Demon.

DING DING DING

"Here is your winner by submission Wicke Sykes" called out the announcer.

Upon being declared victor, Wicke loosened the hold, letting Dana fall to the mat abruptly. The crowd was booming with cheers as a sign that this battle between veterans was well received. Wicke stood up and soaked in the applause as the fans chanted her old nickname "Sci-En-Tist" repeatedly. This was just like the glory days in her eyes. She raised one arm into the air celebrating her first official victory at LAW and surely there would be more to come. However, this match was clearly a stressful procedure as sweat trailed from her face as well feeling a bit sore in her back.

She looked down to see the now vanquished Dana Ashford on her back. "Tough luck Miss Ashford. You put a really good fight early on. I am 95% certain another match between us will be spectacular." complimented Wicke kneeling down to stroke Dana's wet hair.

Dana was relieved when she was released from the hold, though in the end, she was still defeated by Wicke. Still, it wasn't too bad, because she still could afford eating a few losses here and there. "Hmm... well, I suppose you did a good job defeating me..." Dana said, smiling slightly despite her loss. She wasn't one to lash out at others just because she ended up at the losing side. Feeling Wicke stroking her hair, Dana just chuckled as she would then get back up, feeling a little sore.

"I'm looking forward to face you again, though I'm sure that will end up differently next time we are to face each other again..." Dana said as she would make her way out of the ring, making her exit. Her debut didn't end up well here in LAW, but at the very least, she had made quite an impression to everyone, and she was determined to emerge victorious next time she stepped into the ring.
