Dana Ashford vs. Wicke Sykes - Sword of Damocles

It seemed that the piledriver earlier did affect Wicke in some ways, which prevented her from going into the offensive as she went to the ropes, recovering. Dana took this chance to recover herself, pushing herself back up onto her feet, shaking her head to get her head back into the fight.

Hearing Wicke's words as she closed in, seemingly inviting her to strike at her, Dana smiled as she would prepare herself. Like Wicke, an idea also formed inside her head as she would raise her arms, seemingly preparing herself to launch her attack at her opponent. "If you insist, darling. Do not regret it, though..." Dana crooned before she launched herself forward, rearing her arm back as if trying to smash her forearm right across Wicke's chest.

But, as she got closer, Dana would suddenly duck, looking to run past her opponent, slipping out onto the apron and outside the ropes. This plan of hers involved making use of a maneuver that she rarely used nowadays due to her age and current body condition, but it was a gamble that she was willing to take as she would grab onto the top rope, bringing both her feet up onto it before leaping up, using the ropes as a springboard. This would result in a spectacular sight as the thick body of Dana would soar into the air as she would attempt to deliver a springboard splash on her opponent!

Like mentioned before, due to her age and body, Dana rarely if ever performed this move nowadays, but in this situation, the Smiling Demon decided to relive her youth by trying to perform the aerial maneuver.

It seemed that Wicke and Dana were prepared to clash in the centre. The Smiling Demon charged forward for a supposed forearm with Wicke preparing to catch her shoulder. However, this was part of Dana's plan as she ducked past the researcher to her confusion. This caused Wicke to later presume that Dana would strike her in the back, but she was once again wrong.

Nonetheless, Wicke turned around to see her opponent already at the apron. "Is she really going for a top rope move? That is quite absurd!" thought the researcher fearful for her and possibly her opponent's health. It would quite a sight to see such a heavy figure ride the wind, however outliers do certainly exist in the world of Wicke Sykes.

Before Dana could crash into her opponent's body, Wicke reacted in time and caught the larger woman in her arms. The crowd didn't whether to be shocked by such a large woman attempting an aerial move or her being held in place. Wicke was quite an unsure about the situation herself, feeling a bit unsteady almost ready to collapse. She insisted that meeting the ground would be the best possible option at the moment. With her arms reaching between Dana's legs and back, Wicke lifted her adversary over her shoulder, before falling forward for a powerslam. Immediately, Wicke would go for a bodypin.

Using the ropes as a springboard, Dana soared into the air, performing an aerial maneuver which was very breathtaking as it was performed by a heavyweight like her. Aiming to hit Wicke with a splash, things didn't go according to her plan however, as the researcher managed to catch her, stopping her momentum altogether. Unable to process what was happening, Dana was then brought down into the mat with a powerslam, and the sheer impact of her landing elicited a scream of pain from the seasoned veteran.

"AARGHHHH!!!"

And not only that, Wicke also proceeded to go for a body pin, and due to her reeling from the powerslam, Dana couldn't immediately kick out from this, and she ended up staring at the lights above, still unable to process what was happening.

Hopefully, people didn't turn away their camera when Dana flew through the air, because something like that may be only for once in a life. Wicke slammed her opponent into the ground with as much force as possible, proving there was still some energy left in the tank. The screams of pain were evidence that Wicke was regaining her momentum, but would this be enough to put the giant for good?

"Just don't get up." said Wicke bluntly hoping that her opponent would stay still for two more seconds.

"TWO!" counted the ref

Dana's body was in pain after being slammed into the mat earlier following her failed attempt to deliver a springboard splash on Wicke. She could feel the weight of her opponent who was pinning her down, and she could hear the voice of the referee counting for the pin. She knew that the match would end with her loss if she didn't do something, and when the referee was about to bring down her palm for the third and final count, Dana would muster her strength to kick out.

"THR-!"

And the crowd went crazy from the near fall. Grunting, Dana would try to push Wicke off of her, looking to recover from the slam earlier. Her body was aching, but she would soldier through the pain in order to fight back.

Everyone watching thought that this match was over and that Dana couldn't kick out after such a devastating powerslam. The ref slapped the mat for a second time as Wicke laid on top of her opponent. She felt rather relieved after hearing the official speak for the third, but she was in a rude awakening. Dana gained a sudden burst of power, causing Wicke to topple onto her side breaking the pin. Thousands of jaws would be dropped as the match was not over yet.

"This one is quite a toughie isn't she?" thought the purple haired woman before sighing. She decided to rest on her knees for now, plotting her next move when the two forces clash once again.

Dana groaned after kicking out from the pinfall attempt, her body aching after being slammed hard into the mat by Wicke. Seemed like she had failed to take Wicke down with her aerial maneuver earlier, which was something that tended to happen in the ring, so she didn't regret trying that move. Still, Dana couldn't immediately get herself moving up as she would then roll over onto her front, grunting in pain as she would then try to put herself on all four.

It seemed that Wicke was catching her breath, and she didn't immediately attack Dana. This gave the seasoned veteran an opportunity to recover as well, though her progress would be much slower than her opponent. For the time being, she could only bring herself onto her hands and knees, breathing heavily as she struggled to breathe. "Guhh... urghhh..." The smile was no longer seen on her face, indicating how serious her situation at the moment.

Due to Dana being on the receiving end of the powerslam, Wicke would be the first two to fully recover and stand up straight. Her first course of action was pile on the pressure towards her opponent. She walked towards the bigger woman grabbing her by the hair, while holding her up slightly. "I am sorry if you need some plastic surgery after this" said Wicke half apologetically as she drove her knee into Dana's chin repeatedly. This was part of the researcher's plan to soften up the Smiling Demon before inflicting a potential winning blow.

After the fifth knee strike, Wicke felt it was time to finish her foe off. She had some knowledge of weak points and was willing to exploit them for her advantage. Wicke still holding onto her opponent's hair with one hand, forced Dana up to her feet. If not stopped, the purple haired woman then raised her open hand, readying herself as the crowd chanted for her to finish it. "HIYAHH!!!" Wicke yelled as she swiftly brought her hand down on her opponent's upper chest for a painful Frying Pan Chop. This was known as the Smart Strike.

It seemed that Wicke was the first one to recover as she went to grab onto Dana's head before she went to drive her knee under Dana's chin repeatedly. "Mrphh!! Mrghh!!" Dana had to tuck her tongue into her mouth just to prevent herself from accidentally biting her tongue, though the damage was already done. She was left disoriented from the brutal attack.

Soon after that, Wicke pulled the disoriented Dana up onto her feet before she planted an open palm chop right across Dana's upper chest. "URGHHH!!!" Dana's eyes widened from the blow, leaving her gasping for air. Still, Dana wouldn't allow herself to stay idle just like that as she would try to lash out at Wicke, swinging her arm right at the side of her face, hoping to at least leave her disoriented too.

With the noises Dana was making, it was clear the chop made a quite a sting. Wicke was about to throw her opponent back to the mat and pin her once again. She was impressed with the fellow veteran giving her such an exciting bout, but all good things come to an end. Or do they?

Wicke would find herself surprised as the Smiling Demon swung an arm towards her. She had no time to react as her opponent's fist sunk into the side of her face. This went according to Dana's plan as Wicke let go off of her, before turning to her side nursing her now reddened cheek. Does Dana have anything left in the tank to make a counter?
