Morgan Frey vs. Veronica Maddox - Me vs. The World

Unread post by PrinceArjuna332 »

Standard Match
Victory Conditions: Gained by either pin, KO, or submission from the opponent.
Normal rules apply.

Morgan would be having another match for tonight, and as usual, she put on her wrestling attire, which was colored purple and made of bikini top and trunks. The purple-clad cutie then waited for her cue to make her entrance at the gorilla position, trying to calm herself down in preparation for her upcoming match.

Morgan planned to win this, though she needed to be careful and not underestimate her opponent in the ring. She knew that underestimating an opponent could result in an embarrassing downfall, and she would like to prevent that from happening to her. She would show it to everyone what she was made of in the ring.

Soon, her entrance music was played, the guitar riff filling her heart with determination. Nodding to herself a few times, Morgan would step out to the ramp, where the crowd would cheer for her. Raising her arms in return, she would jog down the ramp, heading over to the ring where the match would be held.

Soon, she arrived at the ring, and after raising her arm to rouse the crowd, she would climb up the apron, entering the ring. She would do some light stretches as she would wait for her opponent to show up. Then, she would head over to her corner, leaning against it as her eyes were focused on the entrance just to see what her opponent was like.

Apprehension, so much apprehension running through her veins, she cannot believe she is doing this. Not one bit, but fearing for the safety of those she cares about, carefully and solemnly stepping out into the runway, feeling it in her bones that "they" are here watching her, but yet the ominous chill of that shadowy figure looms nearby. Sighing to herself, knowing she has to continue up to the ring, pulling her black hoodie over head, and checking to see that the boxing tape is wrapped carefully around her hands and that the scarlet red boxing trunks are secure, she picks up the pace and hears her entrance music play. A cold chill runs down her spine as the powerful piece plays, Lux Aeterna by Clint Mansell. What a time to be alive, she thinks, what a time for the dead to rise.

The fear and isolation building up and all the times she had a rough time fitting in all comes back to her, she isn't here to make friends, she isn't here to be a crowd pleaser, she's here for one thing and thing only, to be the hand of those that oppress her. Looking down, she looks in disgust at the ankle bracelet, but her red and black boxing shoes helps her mind calm down a little. Nearing the stage and the rings, she ducks her head in and gets herself into position, looking from side to side if she can spot them, but to no avail. Well, let's get this over with. she mutters under her breath as she does some stretches.

Morgan watched as her opponent, Veronica Maddox, made her appearance. She had no idea who she was, but if there was one thing she knew about it, it would be that she was her opponent, and she would treat her as such. Keeping her eyes on Veronica as she made her way into the ring, Morgan waited for some more before she was finally in the ring.

Morgan would remain at the corner until the referee called for both wrestlers to come to the center of the ring so that she could check on them whether they had any concealed weapons in their person. Upon confirming that there were none, she gave them a brief explanation about the rules before calling the bell, starting the match between them.

Now that the match had started, Morgan would take a stance, preparing herself to grapple with her opponent. Her eyes were focused on Veronica before her as she aimed to lock up with her in a grapple.

So this is her opponent, she thinks. Slipping her mouth guard in place and rolling her neck around, she get's right into her rhythm, throwing both arms up into a vertical style stance. And there goes the ding. Seeing her opponent come up on her with the intention of grappling her shot a missile of thought through her skull. Do I give her a hard right uppercut? Or perhaps do I go for a left hook into the liver? Hmm... A quick train of thought goes through her mind before she decides with delivering a hard right uppercut to her opponent's jaw. This goes back, she thinks, this goes back to all the times I watched my brothers fight, let's see if you can handle some rough boxing. She breathes quietly to herself, not wanting to make too much noise.

Morgan saw Veronica taking a stance that was decidedly not for grappling, but she would close in, still planning to lock up with her. But then, she saw the uppercut coming, and her eyes widened as she made use of her well-honed reflexes to avoid the incoming uppercut, which barely grazed her chin.

"Uhh..." Huffing out, Morgan took two steps back, retaking her stance as she warily watched her opponent's movement. She would not underestimate her as she would carefully try to close in once again, this time planning to catch whatever strike that she wanted to throw at her next with her own hands.

So she can dodge pretty well, huh, Veronica thinks to herself. Best think carefully how I want to approach this then, considering her reflexes, I don't want her to make quick work of me. Quick thoughts of a woman who shall not underestimate anyone, not now, not ever again. Either way, she will have to close the distance with her opponent, knowing full well she can't fight effectively as an out boxer, in boxing will have to be her thing. Putting up both hands into her defensive stance again, she edges her way closer, still preparing for whatever her opponent will weaponize.

Better to see what she goes for, rather pulling out any quick punches, observation is key to knowing your opponent, let's just see what she will do. Come and get me. Mouthing her words to herself. What will it be, she wonders, how will her opponent lead in...

Seeing that Veronica hadn't thrown out any punch yet, Morgan would also closed in slowly, still keeping herself in her stance. It seemed that her opponent had taken a defensive stance, from the look of it, and she knew that attacking her head on would result in something bad.

But, she only had one chance to do this, so in a burst of energy, Morgan would suddenly rush forward, intentionally running past Veronica as she would go to the ropes before rebounding from them. Using the momentum from her rebound, the petite purple-clad wrestler would try to deliver a dropkick right into the back of her opponent, hoping to take her down with it.

Huh, well ain't that something, Veronica thinks, going for a completely different approach always works out too. But us see who is faster then, huh, Veronica thinks briefly. Will her foe's dropkick be faster than Veronica's roundhouse kick? It is up the Gods then to see who lands a blow faster... As it would have it, the Gods are not on Veronica's side tonight, but oh well, it's not like she is herself like she was in high school and her reflexes aren't honed like they were then. Reeling from a hard kick to the face, Veronica is sent back a couple feet and inquisitively checks to see if her mouth guard is still in, and seeing that it hasn't fallen out, she prepares herself to get back on her feet, hoping that that spryly opponent of hers doesn't do any more punishing moves to her. But let's see what will happen though, however, instead automatically getting up, she just prepares herself, waiting.

Hitting Veronica with a dropkick, Morgan landed on her back before quickly getting back up on her feet. Seeing that her opponent had recovered, Morgan deduced that she would need more than just a dropkick to keep her down for good. Retaking her stance, the petite purple-clad wrestler kept her eyes on Veronica as she would slowly inch towards her while another plan started to brew inside her head.

Seeing that Veronica was waiting, Morgan decided to go for another assault, this time looking to deliver a clothesline aimed to the upper chest of her opponent. She wanted to take her opponent down with the clothesline so that she could gain more advantage over her in this match.

Eyeing her opponent's moves, Veronica thinks it is time to show her opponent the problems with Dinner Politics. Making a streamline towards the little miss, remembering all the times she would dash like this in her track and field days, while keeping a low center of gravity, aiming her right fist at Morgan's jugular. This is what it's going to be like, playing as The Scarlet Agent, she thinks. All's fair in love and war, and seeing how I must even drop normally emotions, then it's just war. Thinking aloud to herself, as she beelines for her opponent with a punch filled with hate and animosity targeted at someone else, but having to make do with her opponent as her stress release. Not that it matters who she has to hurt in the process, as long as the conceited notion that no one she loves is hurt, then the world can burn for all she cares, so long as they aren't hurt in the crossfire. Heh, this is exactly what they want me to be thinking, whatever, it's working. The Scarlet Agent scoffs.
