Where's The Pudding?

Location: Sam and Diana's Apartment

Sam had come home not too long ago after a day of training at the gym. She had wanted to spend the day alongside Diana. She knew her best friend at LAW was fighting her debut match today and win or lose, Sam wanted to surprise her with a gift! The blunette had spent the day before the debut staying up making a delicious treat for Diana. Sadly, she missed her opportunity to share the delicacy with her before she left for her match. As Diana made her way for the LAW arena to fight her debut match against Raquel Masters, Roberts was in her bed fast asleep. Somehow her alarms hadn't gone off and she spent the morning and afternoon sleeping in. In the midst of her snoring, she'd find herself sitting up abruptly and speaking up as if she was interjecting.

"...D-Diana....Diana! I made you butterscotch pudding!" She said with a raised hand as if Diana was right in front of her. After a few short seconds she had come to the realization that she had slept in. She grabbed her phone on her nightstand and checked the time.
"Maaaan...stupid alarms....I really hope her debut went well."

Sam decided to make the most of the day by going to the gym to train. She hadn't been booked yet for a debut match of her own, but she did what she could to stay ready until it was time. After a long day of training, she'd come home and change into her pajamas. They were already on the bed where she had left them before and it was the easiest thing to throw on while waiting for Diana to come home. Same would lie on the couch, turn on the TV, and look for something to watch while awaiting her friend's arrival.

Diana’s long days of training had finally paid off as she managed to defeat a challenging opponent and clench her first victory with the LAW organization. The young foreigner stood in a crowed train car with a gym bag containing her wrestling attire slung over her shoulder and a small grin on her face. Though she was exhausted and her back was still aching from where she’d been slammed on the mat more than once, Diana was still excited to tell her friend about her victory.

After what seemed like an eternity, Diana saw the name of her stop flash across the train’s monitor. In between wrestling practice and weight lifting, Diana had been trying, unsuccessfully, to learn to read Japanese so she appreciated that all the stops were also written in English.
Diana disembarked the train and made her way to the apartment where she and Samantha lived. The excited rookie wanted to run home and see Sam but she contained herself and merely shuffled quickly home. Once she arrived, Diana climbed the stairs to her flat and opened the door which Sam always forgot to lock.

Sam was sitting in the living area watching television and unable to contain herself any longer the usually quiet and reserved girl shouted “I-I won!”

Diana stood in the doorway, panting from running up the stairs with a smile on her face waiting for her friend’s reaction to the news.

Sam had absentmindedly forgot to lock the door (again) and remained seated on the couch. She clutched one of the cushions and wrapped her arms and legs around it as a dramatic scene in the show she was watching played out. While deeply invested in the scene, just as the suspense was being built and protagonist was on the cusp of revealing an intriguing secret, she'd hear Diana's voice and forget the show entirely.

Sam's ears perked up at the sound of her friend making her entrance by announcing her victory, today. Roberts would flip off the couch in excitement and run towards her, practically glomping Diana with a running hug!

"Oh man! I'm so happy for you! I knew you could do it, Diana! Sam said enthusiastically. "I'm so sorry I didn't make it! I overslept! Oh man! You gotta come inside and tell me all about it! Oh! And I made you something to celebrate! I wanted to help celebrate your first match - win or lose! But I'm so happy you did it! You won!"

Sam was already at it. Her excitement bordered somewhere between being overwhelming and infectious. As she asked for details, she'd take Diana's gym bag in one hand and Diana's hand in the other, leading her Brazilian pal inside where she could unwind.

The words had only just left Diana's mouth when Sam turned around and not so gracefully rolled off the couch and came bounding forward. Diana brought her arms to her chest as if to brace herself as Sam crashed into Diana, trapping the small Brazilian in a tight hug.

"S-Sam, Don't hug me I still smell like sweat!" Diana said blushing but it was no use. Her easily excitable friend was too caught up in the moment, congratulating Diana on her win and apologizing for not being there. Diana couldn't help but smile, Sam had that effect on her.

"Thank you! Also I'm not angry that you didn't come, I probably would have been too embarrassed if I knew you were there watching me anyway." Diana admitted as her bag was taken from her and she was quickly ushered into the house. It wasn't an easy match but I guess training with you paid off." Diana said looking away shyly with a cute embarrassed smile on her face. "I'd love to tell you all about it but I really should take a shower first..."

Diana's sweat didn't seem to perturb Sam at all. She embraced her friend and pried for the details on a hard fought win.

"No need to be so modest! You would have won whether I was there or not! But I'm happy training with me helped!" She'd say with a cute smile of her own as she navigated their apartment and brought herself and Diana to the doorway of the bathroom. "Go shower and wash up and stuff. I'll get you a change of clothes and then chill out on the couch! Do you want the green pajamas that you packed?"

Sam's inquiry was an earnest one, but she did intend to use the time that Diana spent showering searching for the pudding she had prepared yesterday. Though she wasn't always scatterbrained, she'd struggle internally not to chastise herself for not using the time she spent on the couch to adequately prepare for Diana's arrival.

Sam walked Diana to the bathroom. Diana didn't actually need help finding it but she appreciated her friend's consideration. "The Green Ones will be fine. Thank you." Diana answered. Once Sam had gone, Diana stripped off her gym T-shirt and shorts along with her underwear, and climbed into the shower.

Diana had never seen a shower like this before coming to japan. She turned the water on and pulled the hand spout off the wall. she sat down on a small stool and began showering herself off. Diana let out a long sigh as the warm water washed over her dark skin. She felt her aches and bruises slowly fade away and she struggled not to fall asleep. Next, Diana retrieved Sam's soap and shampoo which she was borrowing until she could buy her own. She popped up the cap on the soap and breathed in its scent. It smelt like Sam and that made Diana's heart beat quickly until she realized that it was weird to get excited over the smell of her friend and quickly went about washing her body while blushing with embarrassment.

Once she was finished washing herself off, Diana got out of the shower area and began drying herself off. She wondered what Sam had made her. She hoped she didn't spend too much time on it. Diana found her soft green pajama's near the door as well as a fresh change of panties... She would need them but Diana felt uncomfortable knowing that Sam had seen and held them. She shook her head, clearing her head of strange thoughts and got dressed before entering the living room where Sam said she would be. "I-I'm finished," She announced softly as she entered the room.

Sam was happy to see Diana getting settled in. She knew a shower would do her some good. But in her mind, nothing would lift one's spirits like the butterscotch pudding she made! Once Diana closed the door and readied herself to bathe her troubles away, Sam would race to the bedroom to fetch those pajamas. She knew where those were, at least. The two of them had unpacked and organized most everything soon after they had moved in. The bluenette would fetch the change of clothes and quickly open the unlocked bathroom door to place them on the counter before exiting and closing the door. She knew Diana could be shy and the sight of her intruding while she was showering was probably less of a scare than she needed after such a long day.

After running that errand, Sam would scour their place up and down for the treat she had made. The made sure to tread lightly to avoid causing Diana much concern. She searched most of the kitchen. The , fridge, freezer, cabinets, even the little cooler she had got from the store a few days ago, but ultimately she didn't find it. "Gggrrrrr. I don't even think it's here. There's no way it just up and disappeared!" She let a deep sigh after spending time contemplating where it might have gone. She'd sink to the ground and squat in her pajamas, then sit after a few seconds.

"Think, Sam....if you made it yesterday, and it's not here now. The only place it could have gone is....-" Sam's conversation with herself would be interrupted by Diana's declaration that she was finished. It seemed that within this time, Diana had managed to finished showering and changing, and thus Sam's chance to surprise her had passed.

Roberts would wordlessly rise to her feet before acknowledging Diana. She'd make a slight frown just a second before speaking. "Ok, I'm only gonna ask once, Diana...Where's the pudding?"

Diana was surprised to find Sam standing in the living room with a sour expression on her face. She was equally surprised to here Sam's strange question.

"W-what?" Diana would ask dumbfounded. "What pudding are you referring to?" Diana smiled uncomfortablely. Sam looked upset and the hostile way she phrased the question was troubling and uncharacteristic of Sam. Diana wondered if her friend was setting up a comedy bit or something.

"Did you buy some pudding from the convenience store store?" Diana sued trying to get a grasp on the situation.

Sam had always known Diana to be an honest and forthcoming person. Lying wasn't something she'd do on a whim. But Sam's judgement was clouded in the heat of the moment. Accepting that Diana wasn't lying would mean that Samantha would have to accept that her organizational skills...left much to be desired.

"Convenience store? You mean...you really don't know where it..?" The blue haired girl would shake her head in frustration before continuing. She'd ball her fists and raise them before threatening to escalate the confrontation.

"Impossible! I made it for you and only you! Just yesterday! Now are you gonna tell me where it is, or am I gonna have to give ya the Sam special?!" She began to throw light jabs to display her rather lighthearted attempt at shadowboxing. Sam didn't exactly look threatening per se while throwing hands in her PJ's but she knew Diana was familiar with her she was capable of from having sparred with her regularly. She knew that she wasn't going to be underestimated and she wouldn't underestimate Diana, either.

It was clear to Diana that there was no understanding whatever it was Sam was upset about. Sam raised her fists in what was supposed to be a threatening manner but her pajamas and use of the phrase "Sam Special" ended up just making her look cute.

"W-well I don't know where your—or— my pudding is so I guess I'll have to take the Sam Sp—Pft— Special!" Diana covered her mouth after almost laughing at the last part. She still wasn't sure if this whole situation was a joke or not but if Sam wanted to spar now, Diana would give it her all.

"I won't go easy on you!" Diana said, raising her arms into a wrestling stance Nd moving forward toward her friend turned enemy, ready to defend her honor.
