Nodding in understand, Lilly listened to Blaise's words intently. She wet her lips with her tongue and took another margarita drink before smiling back to Blaise. "Perhaps you're right, Blaise. That might be nice. You seem like quite a romantic," answered Becker in a playful tone. "I knew you were a good man at heart. I suppose with the physical soap opera it is, there would be a place for love in it. I hope you didn't just get into wrestling with the full intention of finding love." She suddenly looked more concerned, setting down her drink and tapping her chin with her finger. "I feel as though that might set yourself up for disappointment. After all, if you look for love only in one place, you can lose out on the opportunity to find it elsewhere." Ever curious and always worried for those she was in care of, and even those she cared for, she found herself at the very least concerned that Blaise would be disappointing himself. She was very curious to see about his intentions in terms of wrestling though.

Blaise tips his chin upwards with a pleased smile, eyes happily shut for a moment. "Who knows, right?"

The tonal shift draws his attention back with a blink. "Huh? Oh, no way. I've been a wrestling fanatic since I was a kid. It's always been the life for me. Like, think of it this way - like figure skating. You can be really successful by yourself, as long as masculinity doesn't matter to ya," he ruefully clears his throat to punctuate that it was a joke before continuing, "but wouldn't it be great to find another figure skater and really sync with them? Brings a whole new level to the whole couples skating thing."

Beat.

"Pair skating?"

Blaise crinkles his nose. "I don't know what it's technically called. You know what I mean though, right?"

"Pair skating, yes" corrected Lilly, giggling gently at his confusion. She seemed genuinely relieved that he wasn't in it for such a seemingly unlikely dream as finding true love in such a wild profession like wrestling. "I do understand, Blaise. Passion does feed passion, which is why wrestling seems to draw in so many passionate fans."

She suddenly smiled wider, rolling her eyes up in thought. "I do find such interest in the crowds that cheer and support people so much... for them to find such a connection with people they may not know personally truly is special." Her words were coming from personal experience, having been rather flattered by any fans of her in the past. "One could really do a giant case study just on fans of professional wrestling, and what exactly each wrestler means to people. ...Even the rather unsavory ones." She chuckled slightly at that last comment, shaking her head as she thought about the "heels" she had met in the past and the derision they received.

"You sound like you might actually be a fan of the sport, yourself," teases Blaise. He adds a gently prod of an index finger against her upper-arm. "And I dunno, I kind'a see it like any other sport. People pick a favorite, and they go with it. We're fighters and entertainers. Like gladiators. And I dig that. I just know I love my fans." Beat. "I may not have any fans now, though. Juuust switched federations, and I don't think anyone knows who I am here yet."

His lips twist a little and his head tilts. "Meh. I'll win some! But you - you should watch me sometime!"

Lilly Becker crossed her one leg over the other and rubbed her chin gently, thinking on Blaise's words, trying to figure out the best way to respond to his request. She then shrugged her shoulders with a friendly smile and said, "I think I might like that, Blaise. I do have a vested interest in wrestling, for what it's worth. There are a lot of fascinating personalities and people involved, and just the psychology of things when they're in the ring."

Doctor Fabulous looked actually reinvigorated just by thinking of it, becoming a bit more excitable, starting to talk with her hands as she spoke. "Just being able to look in their eyes and see certain tells, giving away weakness and strengths. Finding a shred of doubt in their confidence and being able to take full advantage of it. When you can change the tide of a fight just by speaking certain words that you know will take them off their game." The blonde psychiatrist then put a hand on her chest, looking up with glee radiating from her face. "And of course, just being able to study them after the fact. What makes them perform the way they do. It could be anything! Being able to speculate and surmise from details, and then doing a little cursory research to figure out what makes an individual the type of competitive performer they are... It's just such an exciting thing to follow, and rarely can you find something so intimate and profoundly real. More real than simple words, but passion and feeling!"

Lilly put both of her hands on her chest and took in a deep, soothing breath to calm herself before smiling at Blaise again, rolling her eyes slightly at herself. "Just why I find it interesting, at least."

Blaise blinks owlishly at her as she gushes. It takes him rather by surprise, and for a period, he says nothing. Rather, he just takes in her tone, her obvious excitement, her body language. And where does he land? With a tease, of course.

"Well, that and checking out the guys wearing practically nothing, right? You can tell me. Our secret." He shoots her a wink.

"But hey, is that why you wanted me to stick around and keep talking to you? Because I'm one of'em?"

The wrestling psychiatrist listened to Blaise's joke and looks at her in relative confusion for a few moments, not understanding his joke. After all, she just explained succinctly why she liked wrestling. Then, it clicked. A joke. She laughed upon the realization and shrugged her shoulders. "Well, I suppose the outfits and trim physique lends a certain degree of attraction to the sport, yes. I would presume that wrestling with women in skimpy outfits would also be a partial reason you perform in the sport." She said the last part matter-of-factly, though she did lend it with another of a joking tone that he could object if he wanted.

"But I actually wanted to talk to you because you seem genuinely nice, and otherwise I would have been laying here on my day off, drinking margaritas and napping like I were a retired crone," the Doctor answered, a playful tinge to her voice. "So this is a very welcome distraction. The wrestling thing was just a bonus."

"Gotcha," lilts Blaise with a 'fingergun' motion when she admits the skimpy clothes are at least a little appealing. It's an effort to embarrass her, but it seems to be in vain. Her counter, however, gets a snicker. "Aaactually, I used to never wrestle girls. There were like a couple of training spars with girls from another federation, but in my actual career? Nuh-uh. Very new. I did one intergender match in my old federation. Now I'm expected to do'em almost exclusively."

His sleek frame rises and falls with a single, pronounced breath. "It's taking some getting used-to."

Blaise's gaze dips again, despite what he's considered as rebuffs from her, taking in her appearance and physique. He knows he's just torturing himself, but still. "Well, happy to be a distraction, I guess. Always nice to be useful." A more modest smile finds his face, gaze lifted to her face again.

As Blaise was checking her out yet again, Lilly gave him a smirk that if it could speak would have said 'Really?' But nonetheless, she giggled afterwards, brushing a few strands of her blond hair behind her ear and said, "Yes, you've been very nice to talk to. Perhaps it would be easier to face women in the ring if you could control those wandering eyes of yours." She said the words in a teasing manner and fought back an outright smile with her remark, wiggling her finger from her face down her body, as if to denote exactly where his sight kept going.

"Among other things, of course. It helps to be perceptive, as there are more psychological differences between male and female wrestlers than any woman would like to admit," continued Lilly, before swirling her finger up back to her face. "And of course, you need to control yourself too if you want to stand a chance. Or else they'll surely take advantage of that too." She shared her philosophy with him, moving a hand to brush through her hair again as she winked at him playfully.

She's being playful and teasing, and Blaise smirks at her. "You're loving this, aren't you?," he chides. "But alright. Eyes up. No more checking you out. Purely platonic," he assures. And he's determined for that, too. Looking in on someone who's not interested gets embarrassing after a while, and it's starting to reach that point.

To wit, Blaise lifts to his full height. A bit of a proximity barrier from that much bare skin of hers is for the best.

"I dunno how it's gonna go. It's new. Not exactly something you can train," he notes. "So either it'll be fine, or it won't." At the end of the day, Blaise is a healthy young man, and single. He has an uphill battle either way.
