Humbled

Lauren looked on in surprise and a tad bit of jealousy as Misaki did her set of 10 seemingly more easily than Lauren. As the women switched places Lauren grabbed the bar taking a deep breath. She didn't want to be horribly out-done here too after all.

"Wow. That is all impressive to say the least! I.... well, I am just trying to make my way out of the undercard." Lauren said as she did her second set of ten reps. She got through the first five again before her pace slowed a bit, her breaths getting deeper as she continued on. "I was warned by the GM that I need to do better. I was a risk and at 6-8-0 as a flabby older lady who is harder to market than women like you I need to perform better.." Lauren said pushing out her with rep, then ninth and finally the tenth this time more slowly and her arms beginning to show signs of tiring, wobbling but the big flubbery Lauren completed her tenth rep before sitting up off the bench and wiping her sweat away.

She was eager to see Misaki try another ten, wondering if she would still make it look easy or have the weight slowly set in and make her tired.

After she's done, Misaki switched with Lauren, and it's the bigger woman's turn to do another set of ten. Then, she listened to what Lauren was saying, and she gave her a sympathetic look.

"I'm so sorry to hear that..." Misaki said. "Well, it's still not too late for you to work your way up the cards, you know? And I don't think you're a flabby older lady, not at all! I'm sure you have some appeals for the crowd," she tried to reassure Lauren.

When Lauren was done, she went to switch places with her again, repeating the set. She already felt tired from lifting weight, but she would do it regardless of that, showing her strength in lifting the weight.

Lauren watched in amazement, nodding her head as Misaki went to work. "Thanks that means a lot coming from someone like you. Also you make this look easy. Like, you have downright amazing strength for a woman your size!" Lauren said in astonishment. "Is there anything else ya wanted to do for a workout? This gym is gigantic compared to the one I used to have to use." Lauren said, noting the difference between a big fancy LAW facility and her old accommodations.

Letting out a sigh, Misaki rolled her shoulders as Lauren asked her a question. "Hmm... I'm planning to use the punching bag over there..." she said, pointing at where the punching bags were located. "I'm thinking about using them to improve my striking strength, if you know what I mean..." she said. She planned to take out tapes from her bag so that she could have her hands taped for this occasion.

"Oh, sure! I could probably use the work on that too." Lauren said as she saw Misaki taping up her hands. Lauren had some gloves, and given that she was essentially in her wrestling attire she was good to go on the punching bag, but figured she would let Misaki have the first round going at it against the punching bag. She wanted to ask how Misaki got so good, what separated her from the pack. However she figured Misaki would just tell her to work harder and things like that. Lauren was trying, she really was. there had to be some reason Misaki was able to put everything together the way she did. To that end Lauren was going to sit back and watch Misaki strike the bag before having her turn.

Misaki would be using the punching bag as she had already taped her hands for this. After taking a second to prepare herself, she would start raining punches and strikes at the bag, making use not only her fists, but also her forearms and elbows as well as legs in order to deal successive strikes.

After delivering a barrage of strikes, Misaki would eventually stop, beads of perspiration rolling down her face and body. The punching bag wobbled after Misaki stopped punching at it.

"You want to use this one?" Misaki asked Lauren as she decided to take a small break.

Lauren watched as Misaki struck, amazed at the power behind the strikes. She knew Misaki would be fast but to be as fast and strong as her.... it was something to behold. "Uh, sure! I'd love to!" Lauren said as Misaki stepped back giving Lauren room. Lauren bounced around but wasn't anywhere near as mobile as Misaki. Lauren was trying to go as quickly as she could with her own barrage of punches, elbows and forearms, putting all the power she could into her attacks! It wasn't as fast or pretty as Misaki but Lauren did pride herself on the power of her strikes. She was doing her all to try to match Misaki's strength here as well...

Misaki observed Lauren doing her round on the punching bag. She could tell while the bigger woman might not be as mobile as her, her strikes were hard and powerful. She remembered that time when she fought Lauren in the ring and thought that she might want to see Lauren's strength again.

"Say... would you like a spar?" Misaki asked once Lauren finished her round, pointing her thumb at the nearby ring which was currently not used.

Lauren's face was red at the suggestion of a spar. She remembered how she felt Misaki handled her pretty easily in the ring last time. Was it a fluke? Could Lauren show the woman that she wasn't a pushover? "Sure. Standard rules. Don't think you will shrug off my offense quite so easily this time!" Lauren said, trying to sound far more confident than she felt. Lauren only knew she would give this spar her all as if it were a title match. She was determined to do better this time...

Misaki smiled and nodded. "Alright, let's get going, then..." She would head over to the ring alongside Lauren. Once she arrived, she would climb up the apron and slip under the ropes, entering the ring.

"I'll be the judge to that..." Misaki said confidently, looking ready to clash with Lauren again. "So, come on... show me what you got!" She took a stance, preparing to lock up with the bigger woman.
