Astrid Ostberg vs. Katsuragi Tanaka [D]

Astrid stretched as she watched Katsuragi from where she stood in the ring, but she kept up her usual attitude, looking on with a smile as she stood tall. But Katsuragi said she couldn't let her follow up - and Astrid took that as a challenge. "Well, then, nothing you're doing is stopping me!"

Undeterred by Katsuragi's escape, Astrid sprung up over the ropes before she went for a leg drop onto the prone girl, going to press her luck. But that wasn't to be, as Astrid would soon find out, as Katsuragi rolled out of the way in time, leaving Astrid to slam into the floor surrounding the ring instead of her opponent. Stunned from the landing, she groaned under her breath, rubbing her leg.

Now that both women were outside the ring, the ref had to start up another count. "One!"

Katsuragi managed to roll away just in time to prevent Astrid from following up with a leg drop onto her. Seeing the other girl stunned she wasn't in too much of a hurry to stand up wither, instead opting to rest herself a little before starting to climb up, though she kept watching on Astrid to make sure she couldn't get a drop on her. As Katsuragi climbed to her feet the referee continued the count "Two!"

Finally, on her feet Katsuragi would take a look at Astrid, taking a moment to contemplate an attack on the girl before deciding against it. "Three!" She would keep facing the girl with a defensive pose slowly backing up until she could move around the corner, once there wasn't a straight route between her and Astrid she would turn away towards the ring and start to climb back inside. "Four!"

She would make it to the ring comfortably in time unless Astrid did a daring attack to try and prevent that, but at the same time, the Norwegian wrestler would receive no attack from Katsuragi for just attempting to get back in the ring.

Astrid was keen on respecting the rules of wrestling, and she saw the regulations that governed action in the ring as being in place to uphold the standards any worthy wrestler should commit herself to. She knew that fighting was supposed to remain within the ring's confines, and she didn't like having to beat on someone out of bounds. At the same time, though, she didn't want Katsuragi to think she was underestimating her skill or prowess; the Norwegian had seen well enough that Katsuragi was a force to be reckoned with. Still, Katsuragi wasn't making a move right away, just backing up from the site where they had fallen. Astrid could respect that, and she nodded to the girl to tell her that everything was all right. Her attention seemed to be focused on getting back in the ring, and that was something Astrid would allow.

Once Katsuragi was back in the ring, though? That was another story. Astrid followed her back in, and she dusted herself off, standing and flexing to get herself back into the game. "Ahh, yes, there we go," she said. "Now...where were we?" With that, Astrid jumped back into the action, storming in towards Katsuragi posed to throw a chop at her.

Astrid allowed Katsuragi to climb back into the ring undisturbed so Katsuragi didn’t waste much time. She got inside the ring and nodded to the girl, Astrid’s question clearly not requiring any more of an answer. The Norwegian wrestler clearly wasn’t messing around either and just as she finished talking Astrid lunged forward to attack Katsuragi once more, aiming a chop at the girl. Katsuragi wasn’t ready to block the quick attack and took the hit reeling back but stayed on her feet.

With Astrid getting quite close to her to land the hit Katsuragi would aim to lift her leg and hit her opponent’s body with her knee. If her hit connected she would continue pushing forward trying to hit a couple of punches at Astrid’s head to force her to back off and get herself some space for some of her signature kicks...

Following on her forward momentum, Astrid ran for Katsuragi and hit her with a chop, with brought a smile to her face. She watched Katsuragi stumble backwards, remaining on her guard. Astrid put up her hands, ready to defend herself at a moment's notice from her opponent's strikes. But she couldn't defend every angle at once, and when Katsuragi threw her knee into Astrid's side, the Norwegian was knocked back, reeling from the impact of the blow.

Katsuragi was able to follow up on this, chasing after Astrid with a couple of well-placed punches. They landed on her head, jostling her about as she coughed and sputtered, stumbling back away from her foe. This succeeded at putting the distance between them, as Astrid was left watching Katsuragi from her place across the ring as she slowly came back to her senses, catching her breath.

However, Astrid has time to collect herself, and that meant she had time to get a feel for what was next on Katsuragi's agenda. As the Japanese girl closed in on her to get a kick off, Astrid tried to jump back to avoid the blow. Of course, her success would depend on how far Katsuragi could reach.

With a set well aimed punches Katsuragi managed to knock her foe back and gain some distance getting exactly in place for her next plan. Shemsirked as she got ready right before lifting her foot off the ground, and spinning around to try and nail Astrid with a kick. The Norwegian, however, was on guard and dodged this first hit smoothly.

But Katsuragi wasn't known for her kicks for nothing. Even if she didn't hit immediately she was ready to go on. As soon as her foot was back on the ground, following the spin she lifted her left for a kick aimed at Astrid's side, after which she would be standing with her left side towards the girl only to lift her right leg for another spinning kick, targeting Astrid's head and then finally finishing off the burst with a straight kick into Astrid's stomach, that would push her back towards the ropes if successful.

Astrid managed to dodge the oncoming kick without incident, and with Katsuragi's foot back on the ground, she had a brief moment to catch her breath and brushed the hair out of her face. But even that moment wasn't enough, it seemed, as Katsuragi wasn't finished yet!

This time, Astrid started to get in position to block, but Katsuragi left her with little chance to prepare. The Japanese girl swiftly nailed Astrid's side with her foot, causing her to cough as she bent over forward at the waist. Not a moment later, Katsuragi performed another spinning kick that caught Astrid in the head. The Norwegian let out a louder scream as she started to double back. She had gotten quite the feel for what Katsuragi could do, so when the combo ended with a kick to her gut, Astrid barely registered it with her head still spinning. She fell against the ropes, leaving herself vulnerable.

While she couldn't hit right off the bat Kaatusraig soon showed off her remarkable legwork, swinging several more kicks towards her opponent, these ones hitting the Norwegian fighter perfectly, breaking her down from being just a second too late on the block to the point where Astrid just fell against the ropes, almost completely limp stunned by the powerful assault.

However, after having both feet on the ground, Katsuarig did need a second to catch her breath, before moving forward to meet Astrid. She would there attempt to grab the girl's arm and whip her into the ropes on the other side to send her bouncing back right towards Katsuragi. Then as the girl approached Katusargi started running towards her as well, her arm extended to the side to knock her opponent down with a clothesline.

Astrid was left with her head spinning as she fell into a daze. Katsuragi kicked like a horse, and Astrid certainly felt it. With the Norwegian down, Katsuragi wouldn't have too much trouble in hauling her up by the arm while she was still trying to catch her breath. Before she knew it, Astrid was going flying across the ring, her feet moving faster than her thoughts. Not long after, Astrid rebounded off the ropes. Glancing back over her shoulder, she could only watch as Katsuragi came in closer to her, arm poised and ready to strike with her clothesline. Astrid's teeth clenched in preparation for what would befall her, but the hit landed its mark, sending her dropping down to her knees with a pained groan.

Through eyes squinted with pain and frustration, Astrid looked back at Katsuragi. Though her back ached, she could still look over her shoulder at what the girl was doing - and she had no intentions of going down just yet. She couldn't do much where she was, but Astrid still wanted to give it her all, putting her best effort forward. She swung her foot back towards Katsuragi with a mule kick while she pressed her hands on the mat to prop her up. Though her own kicks would doubtlessly be less powerful than her opponent's, Astrid was still a powerhouse at heart, and she was sure she could pack a punch where it counted.

Katsuragi managed to take Astrid down with a clothesline, dropping her to the mat. Once her foe was on the ground, she would try to approach Astrid from behind to work the girl in a submission. However, contrary to Katsuragi's expectations, Astrid wasn't out of the match yet. She demonstrated her impressive endurance by glancing over her shoulder and kicking out, hitting Katsuragi with a hard mule kick.

Katsuragi groaned in pain as the strong hit connected. She had to take a few steps back to prevent herself from falling over, giving Astrid precious time to recover. However, a single kick wouldn't keep Katsuragi at bay for too long, though it did make her more cautious. Katsuraagi would approach the girl from the side this time, avoiding another dangerous kick. She would try to grab Astrid's arm to take control of the girl, ready to take the fight down to the mat in a grapple.
