Double K, Double Princess: Royal Thunderstorm vs Double K

Noelle's kick kept her safe from a suplex. But because she had already been pulled up in the air, and had one leg out from under her to perform the kick, Noelle wasn't able to have much of a clean landing, instead ending up on her ass. An outcome that gave Kristin the time to keep applying offensive pressure, an undesirable position for a wrestler like Noelle, whose inclinations leaned away from defense.

Kristin was able to get one through, burying her knee into Noelle's belly. "Augh!" she groaned as her upper body bowed forward. But the Spaniard grit her teeth and hooked her arms under the blonde's leg, stopping it from going back down to the floor by pinning it against her body. Though at the same time, Noelle found her head caught in Kristin's clutches, and pinned against her body.

If Kristin tried going through with her planned DDT, despite Noelle having her leg, the princess would use all her strength to try to stay upright while letting her opponent go down. Then she'd try to pull her head free and drop down on top Kristin, folding the blonde's leg over her own body for a pinfall. If Kristin held back on the DDT, then the two women would be at something of an impasse; the kind of stalemate that was most likely decided by whoever moved first to force the position in their favor. Noelle would try to be first, releasing one of her hands on Kristin's leg so she could try to slam her elbow down into her opponent's knee.

Kristin was able to grab a hold of Noelle's head from where she crouched in front of her, holding her in place long enough for the blonde to nail a knee right into her gut. But before Kristin could finish with her plan of dragging Noelle's head forward for a DDT, Noelle grabbed hold of her leg, stopping it mid-motion! That made Kristin grumble under her breath in frustration - without a solid footing, her balance would be compromised and Noelle would be able to easily tip her over. That was going to force her to readjust her plans.

Kristin would dig her heel into the mat beneath her to try and steady herself, preparing herself against any retaliation Noelle might throw her way. Then, Noelle drove her elbow down into the Canadian's knee, causing her to hiss through her clenched teeth. But she would strike back, lifting her own elbow to try and stab it down into Noelle's back while she was bent over her! Kristin knew her balance could only last so long on one leg, so she needed to do as much damage as she could while she had the opportunity!

While most even matches usually constituted two wrestlers going back and forth with control over the match, the opening salvo between Noelle and Kristin was even in the sense that both women were beating the crap out of each other in roughly equal measure as they each fought to turn this scrap into the first semblance of control within the match.

As Noelle smashed her elbow into Kristin's knee, Kristin smashed her elbow into Noelle's back. "Ngh!" Noelle hissed. But more important than pain was the fact that the blow pushed her down and forward, while her standing wasn't all that much more stable that Kristin's was to begin with. As such, it seemed as though this battle was bound to go back to the ground.

Noelle wanted to make sure that Kristin came down to the floor with her, which shouldn't be too hard, since Noelle had one of her legs, and was falling into her. The princess threw herself forward as she fell, making sure as much of her weight as possible went into Kristin's standing leg to topple her. Once they were on the ground, Noelle would try to grab that second leg so she could turn the blonde over and into a Boston Crab.
