On the Beat, or Getting Beat? Emmaline Beaumont (d) vs Yunaka Rubi

Yunaka Rubi couldn't help but let out a dry, resigned laugh at the fittingness of this being a cage match, because damn did she feel trapped. Emmaline Beaumont, professional detective, had now signed up with LAW. Her debut match? Against Yunaka, a woman who had spent most of her entire childhood as the secret weapon of a criminal gang. She had her first kill before her first period, the streets Yunaka grew up on feared her, there was no way this was a coincidence.

Yunaka was finally building her new life. Away from violence, away from gangs, away from the streets. She'd only ever killed to survive, to eat, to be useful enough that she'd be welcomed back under the roof that kept her warm and dry. But she'd still committed enough murders to be put away for the rest of her life. Maybe she could get lucky through her circumstances, and because she hadn't taken a life since she came of legal age, but Yunaka sure as hell wasn't planning to bet on that if she could help it.

Yunaka had enough time between being given this card and now that she was able to think rationally about her situation. Firstly, as much as her initial reaction was to refuse the match, she couldn't. Refusing this match would immediately be suspicious to the detective. Second was that as it stood, there was not currently enough to actually prosecute Yunaka, or else she would already be arrested, rather than being put through this farce of a wrestling match.

The third, and most important thing Yunaka realized once she thought through her situation, was that Emmaline was a private detective. She was not directly affiliated with actual law enforcement. Yunaka was faced with a rookie PI looking for her big break by taking down a notorious former gang enforcer. Yunaka became much calmer once she realized that. Emmaline went from the probable end of her free life to something she could handle.

Yunaka's plan was two-pronged, with both sides being very simple. Yunaka would come at Emma with no flash or showmanship. Only efficient, pure combat that represented the full extent of Yunaka's abilities with the intent to crush Emmaline as fast as possible. If that worked, Yunaka would use the entire half hour that she had making Emmaline fear her. Break and submit her, body and mind, until the detective was too afraid of Yunaka to keep digging after her. If that failed, if Emmaline proved a fighter that Yunaka couldn't defeat, then Yunaka would spend those thirty minutes making herself appear as weak and pathetic as possible. Her reputation as it stood was irrelevant. If Yunaka had to throw Emmaline off by convincing her that she was too soft and cowardly to be the cold-blooded killer she was looking for, then Yunaka would do it without a second thought.

As Yunaka's track came on, it became time for her to quite literally face the music. Now as the redhead came out onstage, she had to act. Yunaka was one hell of an actress. When she was 10, a rival gangster twice her size and age pointed a knife at her throat and demanded to know where her gang was going to be during an event. Yunaka lied and acted so beautifully that the man was convinced he got a civilian by accident and let her walk off. The problem with that was LAW already had a profile on her; bubbly, cheery, happy go lucky girl with a penchant for a wacky way of talking. Yunaka wore that mask in hopes of really becoming it, but she wasn't there yet. So she had to keep that mask from slipping while also making sure not to give up a damn thing if her detective opponent tried to conduct a mid-match interrogation.

But Yunaka didn't have to deal with any sort of interrogation yet, and again, she was one hell of an actress. So without an ounce of the terror for her future that she felt visible to the tens of thousands in the crowd, Yunaka greeted the cheering fans, "Hiya Papaya, LAW! So glad to see everybody here! As she talking about seeing everybody, Yunaka bent over at that perfect angle, hand over her eyes as she made a show of scanning the crowd while everybody really knew that the crowd was scanning her. Then she walked into the cage, even managed to suppress the jolt of fear that tried to push through when she heard the cage's door click shut and lock behind her.

Emma sat backstage, fiddling with her pen as she tapped it against her notebook a few times. The header of the page she was at was simply the words "Yunaka Rubi" written in cursive, with small pictures of Yunaka pasted onto the page. Other than that, it was basically empty. Emma would squint at the images, thinking to herself.

"Hmmm...she looks like a bad girl...totally looks like the kind who would buy alcohol as a little girl...Oh whatever! I'm sure I'll be able to get something out of her today!" Emmaline would messily scribble 'underage drinking' below the name of her debut opponent, before hurriedly closing her notebook and stuffing it in her bag as her music began to play on the loudspeakers!

Entrance Music:

Emmaline would appear slightly late, donning her one-piece, skin-tight bodysuit that accentuated her curves, paired with a short tan coat that she quickly took off before running down the ramp. She smiled as she waved to the fans, who cheered as they most likely ogled at the rookie's amazing proportions.

"Hiii everyone! Thanks for coming to watch me investigate my first suspect~" Emmaline would giggle playfully as she stepped into the cage, the door slamming shut and locking behind her.

Emmaline would make eye contact with Yunaka, smiling as she did so while they both waited for the bell. "So, wanna fess up to anything? I know you did something naughty~"

Though Yunaka kept her smile up as Emmaline made her entrance, she was internally glaring at the detective. There wasn't even an attempt at subtlety. Emmaline was planning on making a show out of putting her away. She wanted to turn Yunaka into a damn True Crime documentary. Though really, this was good news for Yunaka. It meant that Emmaline would likely be more prone to mistakes.

As Emmaline kept talking, Yunaka started to wonder about the detective's competence. The bodysuit wearing woman didn't even seem to be taking this seriously. At least Yunaka had never heard of serious criminal activity being referred to as 'naughty'. Yunaka wanted to believe that this was all a joke. Emmaline's detective presence was nothing more than her act as a wrestler. But Yunaka knew that was tooo good to be true. This had to have rather been some sort of confusion tactic to make Yunaka lower her guard untill Emmaline can catch her for real.

Yunaka had to respond. She was capable of the stone faced tactical answer that gave absolutely nothing, but Yunaka couldn't respond like that. The woman that LAW knew Yunaka as would never respond like that, and going so out of character to give nothing away would in fact give away everything. So instead, Yunaka tilted her head and chuckled through her nose as she widened her grin, and said, "Well, maybe the LieMad girls might want to file some charges after what I did to them in the ring. But I'm lemon-lime legal, your honor!"

Emmaline's mood would drop slightly as she heard Yunaka say that. Contrary to what she was expecting to happen, Yunaka in fact did not show any reaction that would suggest that she was hiding something. But then, she could just be a really good actor, and Emma still had a few cards up her sleeve.

"Hmm...really?~ Then why do I have CCTV footage?~"

Emma would smirk, making direct eye contact with Yunaka as she did so, trying to catch the smallest reactions to what she just said. Of course, she was straight up lying here, but Yunaka didn't know that. Emma would do a few stretches in the ring as the two girls conversed while waiting for the bell to be rung.

Yunaka's eyebrow raised at the mention of CCTV footage. Not out of any concern, she knew damn well that was a bluff. Not only did Yunaka do her old dirty work in places where you wouldn't find a camera if you tried, video evidence was also strong enough that if it did exist, Yunaka would be in a jail cell, rather than a wrestling cage.

Yunaka's interest was that Emmaline's bluff was quite important information as to who she was as a detective. Yunaka knew that there were only two kinds of detectives who bluffed hard evidence; a skilled one who knew their target well enough to be confident that they were dumb enough to fall for that, or an incompetent detective who didn't realize how easily such a bluff was called.

Despite Yunaka's guard being fully up, Emmaline's repeated displays of poor detective work and obvious youth was making Yunaka believe that this was genuine inexperience and incompetence, rather than an elaborate trap. Still though, there wasn't really a different playbook for different levels of skill on the other side. There was no reason for Yunaka to handle Emmaline differently. Rather, it just meant that Emmaline was more likely to be rattled and thrown off the beat if Yunaka dominated her into fear.

First, Yunaka needed to shutdown Emmaline's bluff. She needed to look strong, confident, and not let Emmaline build any serious momentum. "Ooh, you do? Show me!" Yunaka said, blatantly hamming it up to make her sarcasm obvious. "Show everyone! The world must know of this sinister crime! Because of course a defender of the law would never use bluffs and lies in place of real evidence, right?" In the back of her mind, Yunaka couldn't help but wonder when the bell was gonna ring.

Emmaline would internally curse as Yunaka easily called her bluff, but she was sure that this girl had commited some sort of crime! Her insticts told her so! But before Emma could reply, the bell would finally ring to signal the start of the match.

"Oh whatever, i can just squeeze a confession out of you myself~" Emma would smirk, having done her due diligence on her debut opponent as she prepared to counter the little speedster who she was expecting to charge at her or try to get behind her with her speed!

"Nobody's been able to squeeze anything out of me yet! Much less a confession for something I haven't done," Yunaka said as the bell finally rang. That said, Yunaka was pretty sure that physically beating a confession out of somebody in front of both a live and TV audience, as Emmaline's plan seemed to be, wouldn't exactly be admissible evidence in a court of law. But Yunaka certainly wasn't going to leave anything for the court of public opinion if she could help it.

Yunaka was faster than she was strong, but she was still plenty strong. And considering that she was a decent bit bigger than Emmaline, by a few inches and a weight class, Yunaka figured that power was likely her biggest advantage in the cage, rather than speed. So the redhead would approach Emmaline at a steady pace, rather than a blitz. Arms outstretched to be ready in case the detective came forward for a lock up, though that wasn't Yunaka's plan.

Yunaka's true goal was to get close, but not quite in striking range. Then she would drift to Emmaline's right. Next Yunaka would close the distance enough to attack with step over from her left leg, cutting across Emmaline's body to pull the detective's attention, then the redhead would use her trailing leg to hit Emmaline back on her right side with a Spinning Heel Kick to her jaw.

If the kick connected, but Emmaline stayed standing, Yunaka would follow up with a move sure to ground the gumshoe. Yunaka jump up and extend her legs forward, wrapping her thighs around Emmaline's neck and spiking the detective's head into the canvas with a Flying Headscissor Takedown. If Emmaline went down from the kick, Yunaka would skip the Flying Headscissor and go straight into the move move she intended to end her attack with either way; a Figure Four Headscissor that the redhead affectionately named: "You're Dead"

Though the 30 minute match was not yet 30 seconds in, Yunaka was already going for a finish. A quick, dominant first fall would set a strong tone for her, and likely seed the first doubts in Emmaline's mind that Yunaka would aim to grow into fear. To that end, if it looked like her Headscissor would hold, Yunaka would grab Emmaline by her wrists, denying the detective the ability to tap out. And with her thighs preventing Emmaline from verbally submitting, Yunaka was looking to force Emmaline into a drooling KO for her first defeat of the match.

Lastly, Yunaka had to keep the words coming. She was known as a chatty fighter, so it might look suspicious if she got quiet. Plus, mind games were just as good to make someone afraid as physical violence. "So or 30 minutes, does the clock pause between falls, or does it just go straight through?" Yunaka asked. "If it's the latter, then I might just have to have some fun with the hentai rules while i wait for you to wake up. That bodysuit does wonders for your figure, you know."

Emma would smirk a little as she watched Yunaka approach her slowly, seemingly inviting her to lock up! To Emmaline, it appeared as if her opponent were throwing away her speed advantage here as Emmaline began to inch closer to accept the challenge.

As the two fighters approached striking range, Yunaka would suddenly drift right, attempting to land a spinning heel kick to Emmaline's jaw! Emmaline would manage to see the kick coming and get her guard up in time and block the kick, but before she could feel smug about this, the kick would connect with her arm, sending her stumbling slightly to the side. Emmaline was great and taking strikes and hits, especially for a lightweight, but the rookie detective and wrestler seemed to have just learnt the hard way how significant a difference in weight class could be!

This would slightly shock Emma, but it wasn't too bad for her as she would smile after steadying herself, looking towards the bigger girl, expecting the girl to go for some flashy strikes of some sort to wear her down. "My tu- Whu-?" Before Emma could even finish her sentence, she would see the 'criminal flying towards her, legs outstreched as Yunaka's legs would wrap around her neck and spike her down to the mat with a loud BANG!

"GWAAAAH!!" Emmaline would land on the mat in a daze, flopping onto her back as Yunaka executed her finisher, her signature figure four headscissors! The detective was stunned and confused by what was happening, since she was not expecting Yunaka to go for her finisher so quickly as she began trying to squirm out of the thighs wrapped around her neck to no avail. As embarrasing as it was, Emmaline decided the best option here was to tap out and conserve her stamina so she could turn this match around... only for Yunaka to grab her wrists, stopping her from tapping! Emmaline would begin to panic as she tried her hardest to escape, squirming around in the headscissor, but simply wasn't strong enough to overcome the difference in weight class and overpower her opponent. "Ghhkk...Hnnghh..." Emmaline would let out a few choked mumbles, likely a failed attempt to voice her submission as her vision began to blur, as whatever Yunaka said simply sounded like a mumble that she couldn't quite make sense of as her eyes rolled back, her body going limp after almost a minute of struggling, a strand of drool trickling out of her mouth and landing on the dominant woman's thighs. Her head would loll back, resting against Yunaka's crotch her body would go still aside from the occasional twitches.
