Crippling anxiety was once again wrapping itself tightly around Audrey as she waited for her cue to enter the ring. Despite her usual pre-match research,

Audrey could only guess as to what that meant or how he got it, but experience had taught her that she probably didn't really want to know... which meant she was likely going to find out.

But aside from some basic statistics one could find on any LAW fighter, Audrey found little else to sate her curiosity. She couldn't even find a picture of the guy, which was probably the worst part of all... she could be about to step out there to find another giant blob of muscle waiting for her. Or she could find some scrawny high school-aged kid. She had no idea. But somehow, not knowing felt worse.

Without knowing what she was walking into, Audrey made the executive decision to go with her standard entrance performance, rather than her standard, business-like approach. As such, when

began to play, she bounded down the ramp with a pair of brightly lit sparklers in her hands. The crowd cheered and waved as she danced down the ramp, waving the sparklers at fans and drawing shapes in the air with them. She twirled and spun as she moved, making her skirt flare outwards as she neared the ring, doing her best to not let her nerves disrupt her performance.

But with that performance done, she dropped her sparklers in a waiting glass of water and climbed into the ring. She'd been called out first, so she headed to her corner and perched herself on top of the post to await her opponent. She tried to maintain a calm, casual expression, but internally, she prayed for someone she could handle...

Audrey hadn't known it was Cordibel's debut until the ring announcer broadcast it upon his entrance. At least that answered why she hadn't been able to find much information about his match history. Still, that brought with it new questions. Why had they given her a rookie to face? Were they throwing her a bone, expecting her to have better success against an unproven talent? Or were they turning her into an initiation rite for newcomers, expecting her to be an appetizing opening meal to ensure he didn't hold back?

At the very least, Audrey noted, he has good taste in music.

But his taste in music mattered little when it came to his wrestling skill, or the outcome of their match. He came out wearing a robe, but even then, Audrey could tell he didn't have a bodybuilder-type of build. That was a good start. His expression, however, was just as hungry. And when he shed his robe, revealing the outfit beneath, she was distressed to see that while he was no bodybuilder, he wasn't lacking in the muscle department, either. And, of course, Audrey's eyes didn't miss the bulge in his bottoms. The fabric seemed to stretch and strain to contain him in much the same way her bikini top fought to keep her chest covered.

The redhead swallowed hard, blushing when she realized it was obvious she'd been staring. No time to worry about that now. Cordibel would finally say this before heading back to his corner, where he could only begin to move his body as he seemed to eagerly await the bell to ring, so he could show that woman who was really in charge.

Audrey crossed her arms over her chest as she walked backwards to her corner, her eyes narrowed in her opponent's direction. As she moved, she shot back at him; "My record doesn't speak for me, and if that's all the research you have, you're gonna be in for a shock."

Her voice betrayed none of the doubt she held beneath the words. Did she trust her own strength? Not a chance. But it wasn't like she would openly admit that; hell, she didn't think she'd ever seen anyone admit they were weaker than their opponent. 'Yeah, I'm awful, tee hee!' What a terrible message that would be to the fans, Audrey thought, full of sarcasm. I really don't need to encourage them that way.

DING!

She'd barely back-stepped into her corner when the opening bell rang, and Audrey began to walk around the perimeter, sticking close to the ropes. She'd learned by now not to simply go charging in; that was asking for trouble without a proper plan. So she'd take it slow, and hope to find an opening to slip behind him. He looked quite a bit less muscular than her usual opponents, and Audrey was curious to find out if she'd be able to lift him... and possibly even toss him!

The fight was about to begin, and each fighter’s words already revealed their motivations and goals.... With Cordibel knowing she was going to give that girl a very rough time, it was then—at the sound of the bell—that Cordibel would fall silent, smiling at her as she watched her move around the ring, while he, on the other hand, followed her every move.... watching her with interest… until finally, upon seeing her, he wouldn’t hesitate. Charging toward Audrey, Cordibel would sprint at full speed, but as he neared her, instead of resorting to the typical conventional punches or kicks, before getting any closer to her, he would drop down and, even if only by a few centimeters, slide in front of her. If his strategy worked, his legs would leave the ground so that they would strike like hammers, hitting Audrey squarely in the stomach. If his attack succeeded, it was more than certain that there would be no retaliation in response to that plan.

Audrey's approach had been calm and patient. She'd learned not to go rushing in recklessly, no matter the opponent. But the same could not be said for her opponent! Cordibel watched her as she moved, naturally, but made no move of his own to follow or even mirror her. At first.

He must have seen an opening, because he suddenly charged at her! Audrey wasn't sure what made him pick that moment - had her eyes drifted? Were they near a corner? - but once he started moving, she froze; unsure of what to expect, Audrey was therefore unsure of how to react. Was he going to try to tackle her? Lunge and grab her arm and twist her into a lock?

No, he... slid. He was moving so fast, so Audrey didn't have the time to look down, but she knew her stance was not so wide as to let him slip between her legs, so... what was he doing?

Her answer came in the form of his feet connecting with her stomach. She would have folded over in pain, had the blow not lifted her off her own feet! Her back hit the ropes hard, with enough force to repel her forwards again, but by then she'd lost her balance and tumbled forwards, hitting the mat with a thud and a grunt. Instead of getting up, however, she took the first opportunity she had to curl into herself, her arms wrapped around her stomach in response to the gut-kick.

It was early, but she was already down, and she wasn't about to recover from a sudden blow like that quickly...
