Damn, when did her body become so heavy? Every movement was literally torture. Astrid tried to call upon her inner dragon, but apparently she had expended too much energy in this match. She understood that the third wind wouldn’t open, which meant she would have to deal with Aurora on her own. However, as soon as she got up onto all fours, her body seemed to refuse to keep moving. At that moment the Golden Dragon wanted to scream in anger at herself. She could still fight. She damn well wanted to win. Her spirit is strong. But her body…
At the very moment she hesitated, she felt a tight grip on her hair. Aurora clutched at her hair, which made the blonde growl furiously. She couldn’t stand damn hair pulling during a match, she considered it one of the lowest things in professional wrestling. But apparently, the veteran had no problem with it.
The Swedish woman pulled Astrid up by the hair. The pain forced the Golden Dragon to clutch her rival’s wrist, but even so she was forced to get to her feet. At that moment, as sad as it was to admit, she was standing mostly thanks to Aurora, not thanks to her own strength. She was so exhausted that she could barely see the other blonde in front of her. And when the veteran prepared to attack, the descendant of the great Vikings could do nothing about it.
“My stamina…” flashed through her mind. “I got exhausted faster than she did…”
Aurora rushed forward with wild power, swinging her free arm. That arm struck across the Norwegian woman’s chest, making her eyes widen in unbearable pain. Aurora’s attack was so powerful that, despite all her weight, Astrid was literally lifted into the air.
Seeing the Golden Dragon’s body complete a full somersault in the air, the spectators shouted in delight, after which a load bang echoed through the arena, marking Astrid’s fall on the mat. She ended up on her back with her arms and legs spread wide. Her eyes were open, but at that moment, those lavender eyes seemed completely empty.
Her lush breasts rose and fell heavily, but these were the only movements of her body. Pain and exhaustion had completely paralyzed her. Astrid wanted to tear her rival to pieces, but at that moment she couldn’t even move a finger.
Her strength had completely left her.
The realization of this was even more painful than all the wild pain that permeated her body. She felt tears welling up in her eyes, and to hold them back, she gritted her teeth with force as she couldn’t let anyone see this, especially not her rival.

The force of Aurora's lariat was enough to send the crowd gasping out! The sight of the mighty Astrid flipping over before dropping onto the canvas in a heap had left many stunned. Aurora had stumbled after her arm had driven through the fellow blonde and ended up on her knees...she huffed out. Saying she was exhausted would be an understatement.
Yet. The Legend pressed on, she wasn't about to let this chance pass her by. She had Astrid right where she wanted her...now was her chance to finally go for the pin. Aurora would turn around and drop her frame down on top of Astrid's, laying across her chest as she reached out for one of the younger blonde's thick legs. Gripping it firmly she would pull back and hook that leg to try to secure the pin!
Aurora huffed out heavily, she braced her feet against the canvas as she pressed her back down against Astrid's generous chest...her own bosom heaving with each ragged breath she took. If she could put the younger woman down here, that would show the world that her time was far from over! She held no true ill will to Astrid other than that the fellow northerner had certainly been one of the biggest thorns in her side, running her ragged beyond belief...and she did partly want to teach her a lesson in humility.
The referee would slide in next to them, checking on Astrid's shoulders and then began the pin count. "ONE!"

Re: [Standard Match] Astrid Arvidsson vs Aurora Lund - About ups and downs (Apex Qualifier Match)
After a moment or two, the fog before her eyes gradually began to disperse, which allowed Astrid to partially realize what position she was in. She was lying on her back almost in the very center of the ring, and, apart from the pain, she felt literally nothing. The Golden Dragon tried to make herself move, but it didn’t help.
She still couldn’t think clearly, but her fighting instincts were still with her, and they told her what would happen next. Aurora, clearly aware of the state the descendant of the great Vikings was in, pressed all her weight against Astrid, pressing her back against the lush breasts of the Golden Dragon. Astrid’s nostrils filled with the scent of her rival’s sweat, which clearly indicated that the veteran had also expended a great deal of energy. However, this could hardly be called consolation for the Norwegian woman.
Wanting to end the match, Aurora hooked the blonde’s far leg and pulled it upward, thereby pressing Astrid’s shoulder blades to the mat as securely as possible. The referee didn’t hesitate, it seemed she was also convinced that this was the end of the match, so the striped shirt quickly lay down onto the mat next to the fighters. She raised her right hand and then sharply slapped the mat for the first time.
“ONE!” Echoed through the arena thanks to the spectators.
Despite the fact that she was still experiencing a headache and dizziness, that slap of the palm against the mat seemed to make Astrid’s mind start working, in fact using the last percentage of her battery. But among those thoughts there wasn’t a single one that was joyful. The main thought that was swirling in her head at that moment was that she had already lost twice to her opponent, first being weaker from a tactical standpoint, and then from a physical one.
“TWO!!” The audience roared so loudly that it seemed the walls of the arena trembled.
A lesson in humility. Funny…
She remembered her mother’s words about how she should put more effort into her studies to secure a future in some modern, well‑paying field. She remembered her father’s words about how he wouldn’t train her in boxing because she was a girl. She remembered the disciplinary commission’s words about her suspension due to unsportsmanlike conduct. She remembered all the words she had heard in her life.
If Astrid was good at anything, it was not living up to other people’s expectations. For literally her entire life, the people around her expected her to be meek. But instead of making them happy with that, she firmly made one simple decision. Even if she had to fight alone against the whole world, she would do it without any fear in her eyes. This is her path, and she will never abandon it.
Astrid bit her lower lip with such force that a thin trickle of blood ran down her chin. For just a moment, she managed to focus the pain in her body into one small point. And that was more than enough for her.
“THR!!!…”
The referee’s hand moved toward the mat for the third time, and every spectator was ready to swear that the palm of the striped shirt had touched the surface. However, a tiny fraction of a second before that, Astrid with a single sharp movement straightened the captured leg, simultaneously turning to the left, thereby lifting her right shoulder off the mat.
The striped shirt had to resist her own inertia and change the movement of her hand so abruptly that as a result she literally fell onto the mat. For several seconds that seemed like an eternity the arena was plunged into deathly silence. It seemed that even the referee needed a moment to realize what had happened. Then she got up onto one knee and raised her right hand, showing only two extended fingers.
“ONLY TWO!!!” She said clearly and loudly.
Instantly the arena was filled with the wild roar of the crowd. Their jubilation was understandable, because for the spectators there was nothing more important than seeing with their own eyes both the amazing match and the remarkable will of the fighters. For them it was a show. For Astrid, this was something entirely different. And so she couldn’t share in their jubilation. Even though she had managed to break the pin, she remained lying on her left side.
For her, there is only one path, namely forward. And so she will never let the flame in her soul go out. Some might call this mere stubbornness, but for the Golden Dragon, it was something more. Having promised herself to always fight to the very end, she intends to be true to that promise. Including today. Even if it made no sense to many.
A lesson in humility? Never. Not as long as she is able to breathe.

Re: [Standard Match] Astrid Arvidsson vs Aurora Lund - About ups and downs (Apex Qualifier Match)
All that Aurora could hear at the moment was the sound of her own heartbeat...well, that and the sound of the referee slapping her hand down against the canvas. The shout of the count, as it climbed up! All she could do right now was wait for that final three count. Her body was feeling so drained, muscles ached and her mind felt just so tired. However, now she was feeling relief...she was certain that this was the end of it.
That was where she was mistaken. Before that final count could hit, the body of Astrid jerked and that leg of hers shot out of Aurora's grip! Her body was shoved up, pushed up onto a seated position as Astrid's body turned onto it's side. Victory had been snatched away from her in the last possible moment...she could have sworn she heard the ref count that third pin count, but now they were signaling that it had gotten to a two count.
Aurora would turn her head and look over her shoulder at the downed younger blonde. She huffed out, sounding almost angry. The fact that Astrid had remained alive enough to kick out did annoy her, as much as it earned her respect. Aurora moved her hand up, dragging her palm down from her forehead to her chin, wiping off a rather heavily built up amount of sweat.
"You..." Aurora spoke out, as she would force herself up to her knees and turned to face Astrid. She would reach down for Astrid's head and arm, trying to guide her rival to her feet as she herself rose up. Her goal was to have to be facing Astrid's back. "will stay down..." Aurora would seek to bend down, and attempt to pull Astrid's back over her shoulders. Straining her worn down and tired body, Aurora sought to lift the Golden Dragon up on her shoulders, huffed and groaned at having the carry the weight of Astrid like this when she felt like she had almost nothing left in the tank, but The Legend needed to make sure the Norwegian would stay down.
With a final heave, Aurora would attempt to swing down and aimed spike Astrid's head into the canvas as she sought to nail the younger fellow northerner with a brutal burning hammer, the long standing finishing move of Aurora Lund which she had dubbed the - Typhoon Driver!

Re: [Standard Match] Astrid Arvidsson vs Aurora Lund - About ups and downs (Apex Qualifier Match)
Lying on her side, Astrid was ready to grin at the hopelessness of the situation she found herself in. However, the Norwegian didn't even have the strength left for that. She put all her strength into this one last protest against Aurora. And it seems that she succeeded.
Even though she was on the verge of losing consciousness, she could clearly hear the genuine annoyance in her opponent's voice. Well, perhaps this is far from the most significant achievement, but at least she managed to clearly convey to the Swedish woman that she would never expect Astrid to stop fighting.
The next moment the Golden Dragon felt the other blonde grab her head. In another situation she would have immediately grabbed her opponent's wrists, but now she was simply not capable of it. When Aurora pulled her up, the arms of the descendant of the great Vikings simply dangled lifelessly in the air, clearly indicating that Aurora's next move would not only be inevitable, but also definitely the last.
When she was on her feet, her legs gave away and she almost fell to the mat. It was only thanks to Aurora's grip that she managed to stay on her feet, though not for long. Using perhaps the very last drop of strength that Astrid herself lacked, the veteran firmly grabbed the Golden Dragon by the arm and leg, and then put the blonde on her shoulders.
The audience, clearly anticipating the grand finale, began to increase the noise, while Astrid's body rested on her rival's shoulders. More than anything she wanted to hit Aurora in the head, jump off her shoulders, and then finish her off to show how strong the flame of her soul was.
But sometimes an obstacle in your path cannot be overcome.
At least not from the first attempt.
Even Astrid, for all her pride, knew that.
When Aurora threw her body down, a pleasant stream of air blew over Astrid's face. The Golden Dragon closed her eyes, and in the next second her head and her entire upper body crashed into the mat with a deafening crash. Even if she had screamed at that moment, no one would have heard it over the roar of the audience. But she didn't even make a sound. This finisher, if not completely knocked her out, then definitely turned out the lights for her.
She again was on her back with her arms and legs spread wide. The only difference from the previous time was that this time her eyes were closed, and her ample breasts rose and fell much more slowly. One single tear rolled down from Astrid's left eye. She just lost a match for the first time since she joined LAW.

Re: [Standard Match] Astrid Arvidsson vs Aurora Lund - About ups and downs (Apex Qualifier Match)
The effort it took to lift the almost lifeless body of Astrid onto her shoulders was certainly not lost on Aurora. Her legs protested, her back hurt...her lungs screamed at her. She was exhausted, and wanted nothing more than to spend the next few hours relaxing in a hot bath or perhaps a nice visit to a sauna. A good spa day felt in order after this herculean ordeal she had to overcome in protecting her legacy and reputation against this defiant rising new legend of the business.
The stubbornness of Aurora had won out, as she finally drove Astrid's head into the canvas and brought her foe low with that finisher of hers. The crowd erupted with such thunderous roars and screams that it wouldn't be far-fetched to assume a couple of people would end up with hearing issues.
Aurora laid on her back after her mighty finisher, her generous chest heaved in a more rapid manner than Astrid's. With a groan she rolled over and pushed up onto her hands and knees, sweat dripped from her face down onto the canvas. Her blonde hair damp, sticking to her body...as she made her way over to Astrid's downed frame. She dropped herself on top of the younger blonde, draping her body in a crossbody pin across Astrid's chest. Her right arm reached out for Astrid's left thigh to hook it up slightly and attempt to secure the pin.
The referee recognizing the pin and the state they were both in was quick to drop down again, checking Astrid's shoulders before she slapped her hand down against the canvas and shouted out loudly.
"ONE!"
The crowd joined in, even with how split they had been throughout this match...it was clear they had been glued to the edge of their seats throughout this epic contest and it was their way to show just how fired up they had been at the display of power and skill from both women.
"TWO!"
