Post by Jaystar »

Triin Liiv vs Mary Allen
Standard Match
Victory via pinfall, submission, KO, count-out, or disqualification
Each contestant can bring one weapon if their choice inside the ring
Any items found inside the ring or on the apron can be used as weapons during the match

Now this was promising to be an interesting night for Triin Liiv.

The Baltic Knightess had faced many tough battles and quite some misfortune in LAW so far, proving that she still had some work to do to develop herself as a wrestler. While her background in swordplay had made her a skilled fighter, and her background in local, mostly amateur wrestling circles had earned her a contract with LAW - aided by her special gimmick - this match tonight was now a proper chance to show off her skills with some weaponry in a one-to-one battle inside the traditional LAW ring! What Triin had learnt of her match so far was that she was allowed to bring one weapon of her choice inside the ring for the battle... And naturally, she had chosen to go with her traditional sword! Even if it was a mock one, and made out of plastic for LAW purposes...

The sword was still her favored weapon, one that she was most familiar with, and immediately granted the blonde knightess ample confidence as she was preparing to make her appearance to the ring. Completing a couple of flashy moves in front of the mirror, the Estonian was adamant on bringing her a-game to the ring tonight!

Entrance theme: Muse - Knights of Cydonia

As the first mysterious tunes of her music had made their way to the ears of the expectant audience in the LAW arena, Triin began calmly yet promptly making her way towards the ring. As usual, her face was serious and her steps were determined and stern, the knightess showing little if any emotion as her hips subtly swayed with each step she took. Sure, she presented herself as a heroine, but one that meant business, and did not focus on engaging with the crowds. That kind of thing would have contributed nothing towards her mission...

Reaching the ringside, Triin took out her (mock) sword on display, and began making a circle around the ring before climbing up the apron and into the ring. Completing another circle inside the ring, the Baltic Knightess then climbed up the turnbuckle by her corner to stand on the top ropes, showing off some flashy moves for the crowds with her sword before jumping down and planting her sword upright against the mat in front of her! The knightess then retreated to her corner, awaiting the arrival of her opponent...

Admittedly, Triin did not know anything about her yet - apart from her name. "Mary Allen?" Honestly, that sounded harmless enough for the heroine...

Spoiler
With that swordswoman’s theme finished, and accompanied by a more street-style, serious track, the lights would sweep across the arena, finally focusing on a golden and white glow as Mary appeared on stage, striding down the ramp with a confidence that only someone who knew her abilities and limits well could possess. As she neared the ring, Mary would look under the ring, realizing that her partner had indeed left the trash can there—since this was a weapons match… her weapon would be her special card for later, but with no time to hesitate, she’d step into the ring, standing up and gazing at her opponent with that desire to fight, approaching her and simply saying

Triin… isn’t that right? I’ll just make this clear to you… you can ask me to stop only once; other than that, I’ll make sure you go through a veritable field of pain

One thing was for sure when Triin heard the entrance theme of her opponent... She was going to be much less noble than her. Like, medieval knightesses meeting modern street fighters, I guess? In any case, it was useless to draw too many conclusions before she could actually see her opponent properly... For which she had to wait for her blonde opponent to actually get her slow stride down the ramp done, and step into the ring.

Of course, what Triin then saw wan't particularly good news at all... "Mary Allen" may had sounded harmless at first, but what she was seeing now in front of her, looked simply more like a big, ruthless, muscled up heel. And clearly, possessing quite a bit of size and strength advantage over the Estonian... Which, based on her words, she wasn't going to hesitate using either.

Still, even if Triin was detecting quite a few disadvantageous aspects in this situation for her, she also did notice something peculiar, as she began holding her sword even more firmly in her grip. Approaching Mary to try meeting her fearlessly in the middle - yet, with a short distance left between them providing time to react - before responding to her not-so-friendly greeting. "Those may be your intentions, Mary... But don't start crying when they don't come true then." the blonde began replying with a tone that she was trying to make sound as confident and fearless as possible... Before finally deciding to query Mary over the detail that was sticking out to her the most right now. "So, you think you can handle me unarmed, then?" the Baltic Knightess asked, while holding hard to her own weapon to not let it slip out of her hands in case of any surprise attack.
