The mentor-student relationship between Tiki Lowell and Ivy Aster could seem rather thin at times. Ivy clearly looked up to Tiki, but she was already at a level where she didn't need her, or anybody else guiding her along by the hand. Tiki would always give Ivy help or advice when needed, but she also treated Ivy like somebody on an even level with her, rather than somebody below her that she was bringing up.
But today, the fact that Tiki was the master, and Ivy the student had not been more clear in a long time. A title fight was a spot that Tiki had been in many time before. Won most of them, inevitably lost a few. It was her first title fight in LAW, but she'd had enough first title fights across the many countries and organizations she had fought in before that even that meant little. For Tiki, this was little more than a normal match. The most special thing about it for her was that this was Ivy's first title fight.
Ivy was handling this a lot more like how most people handle a moment this big, especially a person who got anxious as easily as Ivy did. She tried to keep a straight face, but her busty chest heaved with the kind of breathing that would make you think she was already halfway through the match. Tiki was next to Ivy, rubbing a hand between her shoulders. Music: Another One Bites The Dust
Their music came on. Tiki squeezed Ivy's shoulder, and Ivy forced her chest to settle. The desire to not be seen nearly hyperventilating as she walked to the ring proving strong enough to let her hide any external sign of her nerves. Tiki stepped into the ring first, the obvious choice. The best way to get Ivy truly settled in and comfortable was for the steady hand to set a strong start for the both of them. So it didn't matter who stepped into the other side of the ring. Tiki knew how much this meant to Ivy, so she would do what her protege needed her to do. Simple as that.
Amber had faced more struggles than triumphs since she’d come to LAW. That definitely was causing her problems mentally. Failing to win the inaugural gauntlet for the Championships. Then she was attacked an injured losing months of her career. And then losing to Vanessa Price because she refused to stoop to her level costing her a chance at Apex and the Openweight championship. She was the inaugural LAWless champ still that was one bright spot in a tough future. Tonight she could make it all change. A win tonight would finally free her from her drought and alongside Cheryl she was sure she could do it. “Time to waste these fools Cheryl!” Amber raises her pom pom covered fists and hopped out to meet her opponents. Music playing while she jumped out for her entrance moving through a routine for the match to get the crowd pumped and eventually moving down to greet fans before she’d take a risk and leap off the floor to the ring apron before jumping over the top rope to land on her feet. “Let’s go LAW!” Amber’s celebration continued before she looked at her opponents silently. Still smiling yet for the moment not confronting them or greeting them.
