Breath in. Breath out. In. Out.
Valerie felt like she had to manually operate her lung just to get the proper oxygen intake she needed to stay awake, as she was still dealing with an extremely heavy dose of her own medicine. Old Alaina might’ve been, but the woman could still summon enough power to his like a runaway Mack truck, and she had amply demonstrated her power with that vicious spear.
Valerie’s inside churned, but she was aware enough to realize that Alaina hadn't followed up on her yet. She couldn't say for sure what that meant, but she wagered thath her opponent was getting ready for something big. She just had to figure out where she was, if…
There.
Valerie saw Alaina impossibly soaring through the air, coming down from on high at an alarming rate. She gritted her teeth and tried to roll out of the way, but her body didn’t respond the way she needed it to. Not enough energy. Not nearly enough.
All she could do was brace for impact, and that wasn’t quite enough. Alaina hit and hit hard, making their bodies bounce off from impact with enough force to make Valerie flop over to her chest. Hurting even worst than before, all she could do now was curl up and try her best to endure the mounting pain, fighting to stay aware of her environment through it.

Alaina had done it. Barely. She was going to stick to frog splashes if she went high like that ever again.
She was not unscathed from the landing mind you but she knew Valley had it worse. Alaina adjusted herself, reaching down to hook a leg and pull it tight holding her breath as she attempted a pin.
The official saw this and quickly slid into place to begin the count.
"ONE!"

Valerie could barely move, let alone kick out of having a heavyweight draped over her body. Groaning, aching, all she could do was lay there as the referee slid into place, utterly helpless, her body refusing to give up the strength she needed for even this small escape.
”2…!”
There was only one small chance, and she went for it without a second thought - the ropes.
Valerie reached out and snagged the bottom rope just as the referee was coming down for the final count, saving herself with only half a moment to spare.

Alaina's head nodded with eaxh pin count in cadence and she had a smile on her face. A worn out, exhausted smile.
She nodded a third time but instead of a three count she jeard nothing hitting the mat and instead the referee called out "ROPE BREAK" loudly.
Alaina looked in disbelief. No wonder she didn't do moonsaults anymore.
"Well... I guess I go back to the drawing board..." she said gasping for breath. Alaina pulled Valley up and shoved her head between her legs. She grabbed Valley around the waist and set up an amabomb to try to end things in a more familiar way for the amazon!

Re: Generational Battle: "Amazon" Alaina Sanders vs. Valley Doll III
Valerie just wanted to lie down and go to sleep.
Or, more correctly, her body wanted to do that. Her mind still wanted to fight on and win this match, but everything else in her - her muscles, her bones, her lungs, her heart - was reaching its limit and was trying to communicate that to her stubborn brain, which was ignoring its protests. For now, Valerie knew she could win that battle, but sooner or later her body's demands would have to be met. Biology was funny that way.
Alaina was on the move again, not letting the broken count bother her too much as she moved onto her next move. It didn’t take a genius to guess what that move would be, either, and sure enough Valerie found her head between the woman’s thighs, the telltale prelude to what would certainly be a game-ending AmaBomb.
Wasn’t happening. Valerie’s brain forced the rest of her body to get on the same page, as she planted her feet, arched her back, and attempted to send the Amazon flying off her shoulders, looking to dump her behind.

Alaina had Valley, grabbed her and was ready to lift. This was going to be it. At least she thought it was until she was the one being lift up and flipped over, landing hard on her back!
"UGH!" Alaina groaned as she crashed unexpectedly to the mat. She shook her head and writhed, the landing surprised her, hurt more than she thought it would have all while halting her momentum. If Valley was looking for a chance to get back into the match she had sure had one now.

Re: Generational Battle: "Amazon" Alaina Sanders vs. Valley Doll III
It had been a hail-mary move, but sometimes that worked out, and this was one of those times - the backdrop put Alaina down, and she wasn’t getting up for a few moments. But what could Valerie do with those moments?
She had one idea.
Valerie scrambled to the ropes and hurriedly pulled herself up, nearly tripping along the way. She reached the top, then turned to face Alaina’s downed form as she stood up and balanced on the pads.
A moment to breathe. In. Out.
Valerie’s leaped off the turnbuckle, flipped through the air as she soared, and tried to bring her body down hard on Alaina, looking to smash her with a Shooting Star Press.

Alaina was down and on the mat as it was now her turn to see Valley flying through the air at her! Alaina shook her head and tried to move but she was far too slow and it was far too late.
Valley crashed down hard on Alaina and the amazon let out a howl as she was now laid out, entirely out of it when she had been on the verge of victory seconds ago. She was cursing as she felt things slipping away again and Alaina wasn't sure she could do anything about it this time.

Re: Generational Battle: "Amazon" Alaina Sanders vs. Valley Doll III
Valerie was, by no definition, a high-flyer. Typically, she thought the idea of going up on the ropes was just silly, the sort of crazy, purposeless thing her brother would do to gain attention. She much preferred to keep her antics on the ground, where she was at her best, where she knew how things worked.
But every rule had an exception, and this was hers. Against Alaina Sanders, she was either going big or going home.
She came down hard on Alaina, so hard that she nearly bounced away from the woman and rolled out of the ring. She got her momentum under control, though, and scampered back before she could get too far. Valerie threw her body over her opponent, hooked the leg, and leaned in for the pin, pressing down with all the weight she could find as the referee slid beside them.
”1…!”
