Heated Clash Between Phoenix and Firecracker - Blaise vs Audrey

"Phrasing."

The single word was enough to get Audrey to stop squirming despite the pain of his knee, looking up at him with a flush of color in her cheeks and a grimace on her face. Yeah, she walked herself right into that one. Not that she could help it in the heat of the moment, but damn, she really needed to learn to not encourage the very behavior she was trying to avoid.

The pressure intensifies, growling out a strangled groan and forcing her eyes shut as she struggles to resist, squirming away once again. But the pressure only remains for seconds longer before vanishing, and Audrey rolls to her side, her body curling in on itself as she tends to her bruise.

But she doesn't get to stay there for long. A hand snatches her by the hair, in that familiar spot right at the base of her ponytail - a favorite, it seemed, of her tormentors. Her head is tugged sharply backwards as she is pulled off the ground, forcing her to hastily scramble to her knees. One hand shoots free of her stomach to grab at his wrist, as though that might ease some of the pain. It doesn't.

"A-ah! Ahhh!" the redhead cries, the tugging drawing sharp gasping breaths, as well as tears to her eyes. The hand under her chin does little to muffle her whimpering, but Audrey is forced to her feet, though she is compelled to rise without the additional pull, the yanking of her hair more than enough to spur her into voluntary motion.

She is pulled all the way to her feet, but she doesn't say vertical for long. Blaise forces her head beneath his arm, the redhead having to bend over slightly to accommodate. Blaise also captures one of her arms, and she knows what's coming next. She reaches up with her free hand, ignoring the discomfort in her scalp and her gut, and places her hand on his chest - there is no pressure, no scratching or pounding, just a delicate touch to help maintain what little balance she still had.

But she isn't lifted up immediately - instead, a sharp jab hits her in the side! Her whole body jolts, and her fingers curl; there's more pressure there now, a more focused effort to remain standing. A second jab comes, rocking her further; her nails scratch him slightly, but not out of intent. By the third, her legs nearly give out, but his grip on her head keeps her upright enough for her to regain her footing.

Satisfied that she'd been thoroughly tenderized, Blaise finally grabbed her by the skirt and heaved her up into the air. Blood began to rush to Audrey's head, but now that she was up, Blaise didn't seem to want to linger - she quickly arced through the air and back down again, in a way that suggested he didn't simply want to let her fall - he wanted to make sure she felt it!

And feel it she did - her whole spine vibrated upon impact, the tremors sending shockwaves through her entire body. She rebounded hard after colliding with the mat. The second landing was nowhere near as intense as the first had been, of course, but nevertheless the assault had Audrey's back arching in agony. This, she knew, was why she needed to stay out of the grip of these muscle-laden men. It was too easy for them to simply pick her up like a doll and toss her around.

But in her current state, still reeling from that heavy slam, she was in no position to defend herself...

By now, Blaise had grown somewhat familiar to the touch of a woman in a wrestling ring. it was a hell of a thing to get used to when he first made the swap from more, shall we say, traditional wrestling promotions to LAW, but he's been in enough matches that it's become less distracting. Still, Audrey's personality is an intriguing one. The seeming animosity she held towards him from the outset felt like it went beyond the evening's rivalry. The way she seemed to prioritize keeping out of reach; an obviously good idea for a noticeably stronger foe, but it came across more determined than that. It wasn't insulting, he didn't take it personally - but it was curious.

The real reasons never would've crossed his mind, of course. Not Blaise. Blaise never assumes the worst in anyone, even after his return as the Phoenix.

But this intrigue only made the touch of her hand to his chest more noticeable. It shouldn't be, he's well aware that it's natural for supporting oneself in those positions. But the physical contact felt more like a prize, after the extended game of keepaway. He'd earned this position. And he earned that grudging flush of her cheeks when he made his dumb joke.

Heck, it was kind'a cute.

Upon slamming the girl down behind him, Blaise immediately surges with adrenaline and nips up to his full height again, arms thrown wide to either side. He doesn't linger in the moment long, however - the last thing he wants is for her to get squirrely on him again. And when he whirls around to look at her, he catches sight of her slender body arching in recoil from the impact.

Perfect. He knows just how to follow this up.

Looming behind her, Blaise leans down to snag a fistful of her ponytail again. Really, it's the easiest way to keep her tame and ensure he's manipulating her balance! No malice intended! The other hand hooks beneath her shoulder, both pulling upwards to drag her to her feet again, this time turned away from him. Upon forcing her to stand, the hand beneath her shoulder swaps to reach low, bringing his left arm over her hip to hook between her legs beneath her right knee. The right hand releases her ponytail in favor of hooking the limb beneath her left arm and behind her neck.

Both arms pull upwards to pump Audrey's body into the air, swinging her into a lateral press position across his chest. Her bare stomach meets the flat and defined plane of his pectoral muscles momentarily, before dropping the support of his arms and collapsing to a kneel, bringing her lower back to collide heavily across his upturned knee in a classic backbreaker!

Still reeling from that tremendous impact, all Audrey could do was try to soothe the damage in the aftermath. Her body arched in an effort to ease the tension, her hand flying to the spot to gingerly rub at it. She bit her lip in an effort to keep from further screaming, instead drawing in sharp breaths and releasing low, pained groans.

But rest was not something that was granted, it was earned - and Audrey's reeling on the ground did not earn her anything except another tug on her hair. She let out another scream, this time with tears stinging her eyes at the sudden and unexpected pull, with both her hands reaching up this time to clutch at his wrist, the pain in her back forgotten, though not gone.

Audrey barely registers the arm hooking under her shoulder to assist with forcing her to her feet until she finds herself there again, this time with her back to her opponent - and no time to turn around! She feels a hand on her leg and immediate panic drowns out all else, her frenzied squirming foiled by Blaise's arm preventing her from dashing away, until before she knows it, she's being held sideways against Blaise's chest, the skin-to-skin contact sharpening her senses - just in time for gravity to reclaim her and feel her spine shatter against Blaise's knee!

"Gh- Aaaaaaaahh!!"

The redhead lets out another earsplitting scream of pure agony upon impact, the move doing double duty of managing to connect in the same area - or close enough to - that she had landed on only moments before! But the pain wasn't the only issue. With her body arched limply around Blaise's knee, blood began to rush to her head. While one hand attempted (and, for the most part, failed) to reach beneath her back to tend to her re-ignited wound, the other flew to the mat to brace herself with her palm, an effort to find some balance that was quickly joined by her feet, her legs spreading instinctively to widen her angle.

It remained to be seen whether or not it mattered; Blaise could keep her there easily by applying some pressure with his hands, or he could simply shove her off and let her resume writhing in agony (and possibly attack her hair for a third time...!). Audrey assumed his plan was the former - further torment while getting to admire quite the unobstructed angle of her body - but her only focus amidst the miasma of pain was to find balance first, and then, if possible, roll herself gently off his knee to the ground so her spine could stop screeching.
