Spectre vs Karina Rine

THE WORLD BLIGHT vs THE BEHEMOTH
Best of Five
Falls by Pinfall, Submission or KO

Spectre’s new GIANT CATCHER 1.0 was ready for tonight’s schematic. The designs which encaptured a new person to her collection. A soon-to-be victim of her punch machines. Punching bag number thirty. Perhaps the biggest yet, and the most explosive she’s had the pleasure of witnessing whilst watching the tapes of every Rine match. Making a bot for this opponent was asking a hunk of metal to fly at you. Crush you. Suffocate. But though it crushed her thugs in trial runs, she noticed a key piece. Every goon that was felled by the mock-Karina, she just as much damaged herself in the charge.

Innnnnnnnteresting…

And that’s when she got the perfect idea.

“LISTEN UP, THIS SQUASH IS SCHEDULED FOR THREE AGONIZING FALLS!”

Dot’s synthetic breaking voice entered the stadium’s sound system. The lights culled till only the Chrome Skull sigil of Spectral Network showed on moving banners and the Titantron. The crowd instantly jeered. From the front-row neanderthal to the slimiest fat pigs in the back and the ugly menagerie in between.

“INNnnnnnINTRODUCING FIRST!”
"At ONE HUNDRED optimized pounds and a whole FIVE huge feet!"
“From the open vaults of the banks abroad!”
“To the panopticon of the screens below!”
“The Blight of the World! The red terror! The ANTI-messiah! The Malevolent VIRUS! . . .”
“SPEEEEEECTREEE!”

Avast! Her
’s church bells sounded her arrival. The choir’s backdrop and pumping synth confirmed the choir’s disdain. A new level of disgust spewed from their unhygienic maws. Only purple mist salvaged the floor’s facade. It spewed from corners, filled the ring and spilled to ringside, then continued till no ringside personnel could see their feet. Spotlights searched for the terrorist high, low and across. Fan rows, catwalks, the rafters, then onto a dangling hook and cable. SPECTRE leaned out from the cable, a hand still gripped tight behind, then flexed her other arm and crunched a fist. Dressed in a high-waist leotard, arm sleeves, boots, a choker and cape. Every piece was black with a purple secondary. Even her lipstick, black domino mask and purple face-paint.

“The SHOW is now MINE!” The slogan expelled from the sound system in perfect sync. Spotlights started to fail and flicker, giving an epileptic’s nightmare whilst she completed the descent. A copper smell came from them. Plus a touch of burning plastic. Now the spotlights failed. Of course, a perfectly timed back-up was ready. It came down from above and illuminated a cone over the ring. The Virus already landed, and was standing tall, narrow, with one arm folded behind her back and the other reserved for a nail inspection.

“Silence!” She grinned and began to circle inside the ring, making a judging stare at the ogres out front to draw them in. “Since my last thing broke, I've been in the market for adoption. Here I am at the animal shelter and I see a BEHEMOTH... A mix-breed of a panda and giant lizard. A grumpy stupid ragdoll of a warrior. A force of nature with little spikey knees. I’d be a FOOL-BLIGHT not to take it home. Then next week…Hm~Hm~Hmm~” The Virus declined to answer. She brushed it off with gentle internal chuckling. At the side of the ring facing the ramp and stage, she pointed down the lane.

“Karina Rine! I got three collars with your name on each one. Get your soft-self out here and pick the colour.”

The lights returned to normal. Spectre took the centre ring to receive law’s famous monster.

Re: Spectre vs Karina Rine

Karina had been silently watching backstage, the television wasn't exactly a good substitute for seeing and hearing all the effects live, yet Karina understood the work that was being put into it.

"Huh.. Been a while since I've seen such a grand entrance."

Once her opponent was in the ring and had her hand on the mic, Karina stayed backstage for a little longer, just long enough to hear the famed Spectre shit talk, and boy was it good. She was definitely looking to get under Karina's skin, using her alias in the ring, but also that arrogant attitude like Karina wasn't about to fold her in the ring.

But then that last sentence, about having collars ready with Karina's name on it? Oh, Karina had to flash a grin, not quite the full fledged one but one that showed she was interested to see if her opponent could match that bark.

Her hand left her hip, raising it and twirling her finger upwards in a circle, signalling the staff members to play her theme while she steps out and makes her way to the stage. She wasn't one for flares and effects, she's just here to fight, so not many fireworks went off, just enough to make it a flashy enough entrance to introduce her.

Karina steps onto the grand stage, bringing a hand up to run it's fingers through her hair, shifting her weight from one hip to another before she stepped down the ramp, her gaze fully ahead, at the very opponent who called her out.

Once close to the ring, she would simply slide under the bottom ropes, not wanting to waste time and effort on using the stairs, which were usually the more safer option to enter the ring, yet Karina never opted for the safest approach, and pain was ever the motivation to dish her own.

Karina pushed down on the canvas, rising herself up onto her feet and straightened like a erected statue. She took her steps to the center, not to outright confront her opponent right away, but rather to play her little vocal game by speaking up, in a similar manner.

"A wise, bald man once said that no one should go to the animal shelter to look for a animal to adopt, because those fangs are already sharpened."

Karina then raised a hand, turning it to beckon Spectre.

"So come, I dare you to try and collar me."
