Speaking -- singing? -- of smiles...Alix hadn't had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Akifumi herself when he applied to the Moonlight brand of After Dark. But if what she heard from her staff was right, and it usually is, she should be expecting a rather tense man. But if he's here, he's gotta be looking to let his hair down, so to speak.

And that there is one of her specialties, so it works out just fine for her! And so she slotted herself in for the second match in this special Floating Sauna event.

This was absolutely ridiculous. Kaito had joined LAW through the Dominion, but so far he had received nothing. No opponent, no main event marquee match, no rival, no title opportunity, no nothing! He thought himself to be a hot commodity, one that the organization would swoon over. He thought management would strap him to a rocket and send him straight to the main events. However, no, nothing happened and he was left with no action. He was told that if he wanted to get to the big leagues, the main events, he had to prove himself. Make a name for himself and find matches, beat opponents and get the crowd to chant his name.

He was sure there were many other in the same boat as him, so finding opponents to squash would not be so hard? Or so he thought! After much searching, one opportunity presented with itself. It was not the main event world title match he had hoped for, but he knew he had to do something in order to put his name out there. His opponent, Alix Jacques, was quite well known. So, if he were to beat her then that would certainly raise his stock. The match type didn't really favour him, but he was confident Alix stood no chance.

He was in the shower area as well, looking to take a cold one as soon as he would be locked inside a sauna chamber. With him walking in, a towel around his waist, he heard....singing?

"What the? I thought this place was where all the professionals are. This place is just a glorified American Idol contest show....ugh" he said rolling his eyes in disappointment.

"Ooh, I've got a friend who'd have some words for you if she heard you say that, sweetie!" Alix stated with a laugh. The acoustics made Kaito difficult to place, but she knew that tone. Different voice, but nonetheless thick with princely disdain. Cousins, maybe? Friends?

Honestly, that started to take some of the wind out of her sails. Until she caught herself. This guy is competing in an After Dark match. No one signs up without knowing about the eroticism that's inherent to the show.

But still...

"A question for you, Akifumi." Not his first name. Not some cute nickname. Akifumi. "Should wrestling be all a professional knows? Can they not have other interests?"

Kaito was a little taken aback when he heard someone reply to him. He didn't think someone actually heard him, or even if they did, he didn't expect them to call him out on it. "Wait, who said that?" he would say, looking around. It was a female voice, and ofc it was! It was a co-ed locker and shower. Kaito was still not used to this, which was the reason he got a bit flustered. Still, the large man tried to compose himself.

"*Ahem*cough*Ahem*....Oh yeah, and uh, just who would that friend be?" he asked, trying to regain his composure. "Hmmm well, I suppose that is a good question. Probably not, I guess people have their own hobbies and interests outside of wrestling and....hey wait...what?" he said shaking his head. "Who am I even talking to? and how do you even know who I am?" he said, looking around until he noticed one showering running.

"AH, so its you Ms. unknown woman behind the shower eh?" he said, placing his hands on his waist. "Well, why did you even want to know that?" he asked, puzzled.

"Alix Jacques. Your opponent for today. Nice to meet you, sweetie!"

No mention of her authoritative position, or even the fact that After Dark, as a whole, was her idea. It was an intentional omission. She never liked pulling that card.

"Just thought I'd ask. Some people take this craft so seriously, they forget that there's other things in life too." A measured choice of words; "there's more to life" could be taken the wrong way. And it had been, once before. "That kind of devotion is commendable, but it's so sad at the same time. Don'cha think?"

Kaito was a little skeptical of being in this co-ed shower from the get go, and now things got even more awkward when he realized that his opponent was actually in the same shower area as him. "Uh, right yeah. Nice to meet you. Sorry, I guess I am not really used to such informal chatter and meet up against opponent's before a match" he would say bluntly. He wasn't quite sure what the normal culture of LAW was and so he respected the norms and decided to engage in a friendly chatter for now at least.

"Hmm I suppose so. I guess it really depends on how seriously you look at the wrestling business, your career, etc. Although, I am curious, did you have a bad episode or incident with some like that recently?" he asked.

"And uh, more importantly....." he said, looking around a bit puzzled. "Where, exactly are you...." he said, noticing he had been hearing her voice from behind the shower cubicle all this time.

"It's okay! Just give it time. LAW is...Well, things can get pretty crazy around here. But socially? It's pretty relaxed. It can be really nice!"

Daisuke Takeuchi returned to her thoughts when Akifumi asked about bad run-ins. Even though..."There was a guy I had a run-in with. I wouldn't say that he's all about wrestling and nothing else, because I don't really know him. But he does take himself pretty seriously. And I know that comes naturally with the territory in professional wrestling, but..." Alix stopped. Took a moment to figure out her next words. "I don't wanna badmouth the guy. But I do know that he looks down on at least one certain type of wrestler. And combined with that, well...we ended up clashing."

The acoustics still made it difficult to be entirely sure, but Akifumi seemed to be getting closer the longer the conversation went on. Until..."I think you're close. Sounds like you're right around the corner."

Kaito felt as if he was in some house of mirrors play area. The voice echoed around the large shower area while he walked around, being careful not to slip thanks to the wet floor. It felt weirdly comforting talking to someone like this, not knowing who or what she looked like but still talking normally. "Uhuh" he said, nodding his head while walking around, trying to find the woman behind the voice.

"So you wrestled a guy because his ideology is different from yours? Well, that and he looked down on certain type of wrestlers- which I am going to assume you fit the bill of those certain type of wrestlers?" he said, continuing to make casual conversation with her. "Seems like a pretty common thing to feud over. Anyways, what happened in the end?" he said, intrigued to know the end of this tale.

When she said he was right around the corner, he stopped in front of a shower cubicle. "Wait-You're inside taking a shower?" he said, sounding a bit surprised as he stopped there and hear the water running down.
