Nate made no move to get off of Korina after dropping his body down on her. Instead he continued to lay on top of her, hooking her leg and putting his arm across her face in an attempt to pin her. As the referee slid into position to make the count, Xenia stood by on the apron. She knew Kate was staring daggers at her ready to intercept her should she try to break up the pin. Xenia didn’t feel that was necessary though. She knew her sister had much more fight in her and was confident in her ability to kick out on her own.

Korina had been rocked by the offense she had taken, but she was far from done. The disrespect Nate had been showing her only added more fuel to the fire. The referee’s hand came down on the mat and they counted one. But before they could come back down again, Korina got her shoulder up off the mat.

Seizing one of Korina's legs, Nate would lift it as he anchored his weight on his fellow Divine. He would see the referee get in position and start the count. The referee hand slammed the canvas, indicating the one count. His heartbeat would start to rise from the excitement and thrill of the count. The official would raise their hand and begin to lower it for the two-count. But Nate would feel his position being broken before the hand slammed. The count had been broken at a quick one. It was a bit frustrating, but the match hadn't been going for too long. Plus, surprising opponents with a pin would keep them on their toes.

"Oh, well, that much should be expected from a divine." remarked Nate with a cocky tone.

Repositioning himself, the male wrestler would attempt to wrench Korina's arm with his two hands before attempting to ensnare it with his two legs, trying to place her in an armbar. If successful, he would start to pull back, ramping up the pressure quickly. If he managed to lock this in, he would be in the perfect spot, the center of the ring, further from the ropes!

Kate, during this time, had been watching everything unfold. It seemed that Xenia hadn't made a move, not that it was needed. The female Divine Star would then observe as her partner attempted an armbar submission. "Come on, Nate, show them what you are capable of." barked Kate as if she were a drill sergeant who was encouraging their own troops.

While it was still early in the match, kicking out of a pin attempt at the count of one made a statement. By doing so Korina was telling her opponent that he’ll have to do better than that if he wants to take her down.

But just because she kicked out of a pin attempt didn’t mean she was no longer in danger. Nate was quick to go back on the attack, grabbing her arm and attempting to wrap his legs around it to trap her in an armbar. Thinking fast, Korina grabbed the wrist in his grip with her other arm and pulled it close to her chest to prevent Nate from locking in the hold. Then she attempted to use her legs to move her body until she was out from under his legs. From there she would bridge up and stack her opponent so she would be in a better position to retrieve her arm. If she managed to free her arm then she would then fire back with a kick aimed at his head.

Nate had ensnared Korina's arm with his two legs and his own two arms. He began to pull back, attempting to wrench his adversary's arm. Though before he could truly apply hold, his opponent successfully hooked her two arms together. The blond wrestler would attempt to yank his arms back, trying to break her grip. But it seemed his opponent had outplayed him this time as she managed to bridge out of the submission hold.

Feeling that the hold wasn't going anywhere, Nate decided it would be best to move on. Though before he could make his next move, a brutal kick would impact his head, causing it to snap back. The attack would cause him to roll a little bit, but Nate would use this momentum to keep going, creating space between the two wrestlers so he could have a moment to recover and get back to his feet.

Kate had been watching the entire thing unfold, her body was still hurting from the beating she had taken. For now, she would lean a bit forward on the ropes, watching carefully.

Having successfully bridged out of the submission hold, Korina was now in position to pull her arm free. It seemed that Nate realized that his submission attempt had been thwarted as he seemingly offered no more resistance when Korina extracted her limb from his clutches. Not wanting to give him a chance to try something else, Korina lashed out with a kick to his head. Her foot made contact with his head, the impact sending him rolling away from her.

“You didn’t think it’d be that easy, did you?” Korina taunted with a smirk. Having put some distance between her and her opponent she now had a second to catch her breath. She soon rose to her feet as she saw Nate do the same. Once she was back to a vertical base, Korina approached her opponent and feinted going for a punch to his face with her right hand to mask the punch aimed at his abdomen with her left hand.

Both wrestlers were back on their feet now. Nate would return the smirk with one of us own upon hearing Korina comment. "You would be surprised at the number of people that break from that move. I needed to see if you really were different from the masses or if you were all talk." said Nate in a bit of a smug tone.

With that, he would mimic his female opponent and close the distance between the two of them. The male wrestler then saw Korina going for a punch; he would raise an arm, attempting to intercept and block it. But he had walked right into the trap, as his abdomen was hit, causing him to take a step back as he coughed a bit.

Kate had both her hands gripping the ropes now as she watched the match. But she wasn't going to stay idle as the match went on; instead, she would try to provide whatever support she could. "Come on Nate, fight back. Go blow for blow, show her what you are made of." stated Kate as she tried to encourage Nate to fight back.

Hearing his teammate's words, the blond wrestler would attempt to counterattack now, throwing his punch aimed at his fellow Greek wrestler. He would attempt to step forward and then fire his own punch at her abdomen.
