Ryan was the sort that always sought to test his might in a wrestling match, even if it seemed an obvious wash in his favour or the opposite way around the Paragon still loved to give it a go regardless. Hence why the Paragon would meet Naomi in the middle of the ring. Not with fear or anger, but indeed with a beaming smile as Naomi rushed right at him. Both of their hands accepting the other's in eagerness as Ryan even gave a hearty laugh at this.
"I've been looking forward to this! You still have that grit in you, the kind that made you admirable even back as a villain....." Ryan hissed out, he actually gave ground a bit there and realised that he might need to out leverage in this instance. Thus eventually the Paragon would try to hook his right foot out close enough to catch Naomi's left one and try to use their held hands to try and hip toss Naomi to the mat unless he was checked.

Re: Ryan Knight vs Naomi Nogami - Knight And Warrior
Naomi expected a defiant look from her opponent, but she didn't get it. What she found was a gentleman who was excited, even quite happy to face off in a strength contest against the warrior. This even confused the Japanese woman because of the smile he had as they clasped hands. Both possessed monstrous strength of similar caliber, where the Amazon demonstrated a slight superiority but wasn’t decisive enough to make a difference.
And then, the paragon mentioned that she still retained the grip from her days as a villain, when they nicknamed her “the Conqueror.” At that, her cheeks flushed red at the statement and the memory of her past, and before she realized it, she had wrapped one of her legs around one of his, then sent him crashing to the canvas in a spectacular fall, leaving him vulnerable to Ryan’s attacks.

Re: Ryan Knight vs Naomi Nogami - Knight And Warrior
Ryan often loved to toss things around in a battle, his Mother Florence often instructed him on making sure to assert yourself in the ring. Not just against your opponent but also to the public. To show that any man or woman could be swung around by you to prove you stood tall in the ring. He also kinda took a cue from his time watching Naomi in his mind at least, the rare times Florence showed him matches where the heel was dominant featured her after all. Still he had taken Naomi down to the mat. It was time to try and follow up!
Usually Ryan would go for a submission hold, or a powerhouse grapple attempt. However tonight was a special chance after all against one of his wrestling crushes growing up. The Paragon would boldly proclaim with "Tally Ho!" and he'd leap right up into the air, attempting to land with a crossbody block splash right on the mat to try and pancake Naomi!

Re: Ryan Knight vs Naomi Nogami - Knight And Warrior
And that’s just how it was. A few years ago, if she’d found herself in this position, she would surely have unleashed a barrage of insults, one after another, at her opponent for having knocked her down; now she merely groaned in pain. There’s been a big change between the old and the new Naomi in terms of behavior and attitude, even if some people don’t notice it.
And now she was expecting a submission hold or a devastating powerbomb; instead, she watched as Ryan (who isn’t exactly light, to say the least) landed on top of the Japanese Phoenix with a crossbody block splash, leaving her in pain. The referee quickly went to count, reaching 1 before Naomi got up and tried to shake Ryan off as fast as she could.

Re: Ryan Knight vs Naomi Nogami - Knight And Warrior
Ryan rarely lept into the air. The fact of the matter was however that it was a special bout and the Paragon was indulging himself while the iron was hot. Besides it'd make for a nice kodac moment for the fans, did Ryan have fans actually? He never really bothered to check these days and simply let his actions in the ring speak for itself truth be told. And said action was about to let Naomi get a taste of the might of Britain. It was as if the country itself was jumping up and moving.
Moving right on top of Naomi that is. A lesser wrestler might well have folded from the sheer pressure of it, but Naomi clearly wasn't and if she had? Ryan would have felt insulted in all honesty, getting out at a one count to boot? Most wrestlers would have been annoyed. Instead Ryan would shout "That's right!" and he slipped backwards into a low crouching stance before trying to tackle at Naomi with his hands poised to try and cinch her waist. He was eager alright and fighting a dream!

Re: Ryan Knight vs Naomi Nogami - Knight And Warrior
Aerial moves in wrestling always hurt a lot, since gravity is usually a wrestler’s worst enemy most of the time. Now imagine that what’s falling on you is a blond guy weighing almost 100 KG who’s building up momentum. That’s even worse. Surprisingly, Naomi was able to get back up on the count of one, something that would have been impossible for a novice, but experience is on her side in situations like this.
And instead of getting angry, as would be expected, Ryan was fascinated by the fact that his childhood heroine (…villain? …heroine? … Wrestler? Whatever) had managed to escape that. Now the gentleman would try to strangle her from behind, something the Silver Warrior anticipated before it happened, managing to counter it with a 180-degree spin and grabbing one of Ryan’s arms to apply her move known as “Stop Right There” on him
