The Last Set: Ashley and Naomi

"Hmph..." Slowly, a wide grin started to spread over Ashley's features. She was satisfied with the response her words had triggered in her new acquaintance... seeing how the girl was starting to get just as annoyed as she was... using the woman's own words against her. Perhaps some would consider it childish behavior, but she didn't care. If Naomi wanted to act and sound like a smart-ass, so could Ashley.

"Respect? Ha!" Who did this woman think she was? Demanding such a thing...

However, as soon as Naomi put her finger on Ashley's nose, something changed for the Brit... It didn't matter if Ashley had done almost the same thing anymore... touching the face? That was one boundary Ashley simply could not ignore when it was broken.

The redhead peeled her eyes, her lips twisted as her teeth pressed together. Ashley brought her arms up and, with a strong push, Ashley shoved Naomi back with as much force as she could muster in such proximity, sending the girl back into the running machine behind her.

There were limits Naomi refused to cross (especially since she’d adopted a more disciplined lifestyle), but Ashley’s attempts to outsmart her were already testing her patience with her immature behavior. And considering that just a few minutes ago, the Englishwoman had been complaining about the Amazon simply existing and going about her business at the gym

It seemed like the British woman was enjoying the irritated reaction The Former Angel Slayer was having. That is, until, in response to her behavior (and her scratching Naomi’s breast with her sharp fingernail), Naomi gave her a light tap on the nose to calm her down a bit. But the redhead didn’t take it well, showing her angry face.

Ash wasted no time shoving Naomi with all her might, causing her to stumble and crash into the treadmill. It took the Japanese Phoenix a second to get back up, and she said, “This could’ve been settled the easy way or the hard way…” and one might’ve thought she’d slap her new enemy, but the veteran chose instead to punch her in the face on one side “… and you chose the hard way.” There was no longer any doubt about what was going to happen; the conflict between these two began.

There were no more smart responses from the woman, just the sight of her falling onto the treadmill and the sound of Ashley's laughter echoing in the empty gym. A wave of satisfaction washed over the redhead as she witnessed the scene in front of her eyes. For someone trying to appear as calm and collected as Naomi, she wasn't looking too cool right now. Something that brought the Brit a great deal of joy.

Ashley took a step forward, following Naomi while still throwing verbal daggers at her.

"Yeah, that's what you get!" She began, leaning down to get closer to the downed woman. "How about you try to shut that damn mouth of yo-...!"

-SMACK-

A swift fist stopped Ashley's sentence halfway through, clashing against her jaw in just a fraction of a second. Perhaps the Brit had underestimated Naomi, who got up a lot quicker than she was expecting. She stumbled a couple of steps before grabbing onto another running machine to avoid dropping to the floor. Clenching her chin with one hand.

"Gruhh... FUCK..." checking her hand for any traces of blood. Ashley turned toward Naomi, her eyes filled with anger.

"You... BITCH!" Ashley rushed forward, cutting the distance with Naomi, but instead of going up, she stayed low, firing a boot straight at the woman's gut.

The time for talking was over, and the inevitable had happened.

That laugh. Ashley’s stupid, insolent laugh was the only thing missing to push Naomi over the edge of what little patience she had left. Now words were no longer necessary; it was time to speak with violence, a language Naomi had known for many years and liked to use in situations like this.

The British woman moved closer to her while Ashley kept spouting more trash about her, making it all the more satisfying to have silenced her with a well-aimed blow right in the middle of her sentence. The Amazon couldn’t help but grimace with delight at the reaction of her annoyed gym partner, who was checking to see if she was bleeding from the blow.

“Honey, if you’re not bleeding, it’s because I didn’t want you to… don’t make me want to do it,” said the Japanese Phoenix, her tone mocking at first but quickly turning threatening.

Now both of them were angry and eager to make the other regret what she’d said. With a look of pure fury on her face, the redhead kicked Naomi in the stomach, causing her to double over while covering the injured area. In response, Naomi charged at her rival, knocking her to the ground to try to keep landing blows on the British woman.

What started as a pretty heated argument quickly devolved into something that anyone present (had there been more people in the gym) could have seen coming from a mile away. When words were enough, actions followed- pretty violent actions.

A swift punch caught Ashley right on the jaw, shutting her up instantly. In retaliation, the redhead replied with an equally hard kick to her foe's stomach, and just like that... what little hope of solving this issue peacefully had completely vanished.

The Brit smirked, seeing her opponent hunch over from the blow; she was stunned by the sudden punch, however, unable to continue the pressure right away- Something that Naomi took clear advantage of.

"Gahhh!" Ashley grunted as the white-haired woman came charging with a violent tackle that saw both wrestlers dropped to the ground in a tangled heap, battling for dominance over the other-

Ashley was in a precarious position, lying with her back against the floor and the angered Japanese fighter on top of her, firing blow after blow. Ashley raised both arms to try and protect herself as much as she could, but the rampage of strikes continued with some blows passing right through her defense.

"Ugh" - "Gahh" - "Omph!"

Finally, Ashley's patience (if she had any left) ran out. The Red Menace turned her upper body to the side, looking to dodge one of the many strikes Naomi fired, and grabbed the woman's arm with one hand to pull her. As Naomi was brought closer, Ashley swung her other arm up, seeking to slash at the Japanese woman's face with her sharp nails, the same ones that had poked her in the chest earlier.

If this was successful, Ashley hoped it would grant her the opening she needed to get back on her feet.

Violence is a universal language that every human being can understand quite easily, and these two clearly understood that language perfectly. Their verbal argument ended up turning physical, as was to be expected. A kick and a punch sealed their fate; now, no matter what, they were going to come to blows.

The kick she took to the stomach hurt, as expected, but that mocking smile on the red-haired woman’s face only made the silver warrior even angrier than she already was, unleashing her fury as she charged at her, knocking her to the cold floor, and delivering a series of attacks against her new enemy while the latter tried to defend herself.

Amid the barrage of attacks she was receiving, the redhead managed to spin halfway around and intercept one of Naomi’s arms, allowing her to use her other arm to scratch the Japanese Phoenix’s face, giving her a window to escape so she could get back to her feet

For a second, Naomi covered her face in pain from the scratch. “AAAAH, you bitch… do you think you’re some kind of cat or what?” she insulted her rival as both struggled to their feet, stepping apart for a moment. The Japanese woman, for her part, opted this time for a defensive stance, waiting to see what the Englishwoman would do next, and it was obvious that this battle had only just begun.
