"JJ" Janella Johnson vs Karen Gale - Standard Match

JJ felt the tap and heard the bell, letting go immediately. "Yes! YES!" JJ shouted as she stumbled to the ropes. She didn't stay in the ring for this, she climbed through and collapsed into Kyo's arms. "I did it baby... I did it. I got her..." She said as she buried her face into his shoulder. JJ was breathing heavily and nearly dead weight against him. She was still in shock feeling like there were times she had this match won as well as other times when Karen absolutely had her beat.

JJ did it, and won a big match on a big stage. It was a career milestone but right now all she could think of was this man holding her up in the aftermath.

As the crowd around them cheered and chanted JJ's name, Kyo caught her in his arms; wordlessly, he supported the ebony powerhouse. "You did great," he breathed, embracing her. "I'm so proud of you right now." Without wasting any time on fanfare or on celebration, Kyo began to walk the exhausted JJ out of the ring, as the crowd cheered her on.

Karen, meanwhile, groaned as she lay facedown on the mat, her face obscured as she breathed hard. Her abdomen was incredible pain right now, and for a moment all she could do was lie there and try to let it subside. The ref came over and asked if she needed help; she shook her head; slowly and shakily, she began to push herself up to her hands and knees, breathing hard after that brutal match.

She had lost. She had given everything she had in this bout, and had come up short.

Clenching her teeth, she rolled, painfully pushing herself out of the ring. Hobbling down to her feet, she clutched her hurting midsection and began to hobble towards the exit. She had lost...but she had given a good fight, she told herself. She had hung with JJ in the ring right to the bitter end.

Next time, she told herself, wincing as she clutched her hurting abdomen and walked towards the exit. She just hoped that there would be a next time...
