Hopping in the Club: Ivy Aster vs Nicole Demara

Post by deezcastforms »

Standard Match: Win by Pin, Submission, or KO

Ivy Aster was not pleased with LAW. It started simple, booked for a nightcap match against Nicole Demara. She hadn't heard of or fought at the location before, but that was fine. LAW had a lot of arenas, and even though Ivy had been around for awhile by now, she was still fighting in new arenas for the first time every second or third match she had.

Problems started when Ivy actually got to the venue. It wasn't a sports arena of any kind, it was a hotel. High class, at least, but still. Evidentially, DD's, as it was called, was sanctioned by LAW to host official league matches. Ivy had wrestled at a hotel before for the Madison Gambit, but that was a whole event where the venue was largely the point. This felt like just show up and do it without half as much of the planning.

The unorthodox venue was manageable, so long as it was prepared to handle a match. And considering LAW had sanctioned this place, Ivy could reasonably hope that it was. Ivy's sister Hortensia, who came with her to attend the match as a spectator, even brought up that with the match being so late, if they were exhausted enough, they could just stay the night here. The room would even be comped since Ivy was performing there.

What truly brought this into the territory of a fiasco was the outfit. As Ivy was about to change into her usual outfit, she was informed by an attendant that this was actually a special attire match, and presented with her dress for the match. . .

"A b-b-BUNNY SUIT!" Ivy screeched as Hortensia started cackling.

"Come on, Ivy!" Hortensia said. "You're already jumping all around the ring already! Why not wear a cute outfit that fits that?"

"But it's so lewd!" Ivy retorted. "I'm not some hussy in the pages of Playboy!" Ivy was seriously considering refusing the outfit, forfeiting the match, and walking away. She didn't want to take a loss for nothing, but she really didn't want to be a bunny. At least until Hortensia pointed out something a bit obvious.

"You know, considering the leggings, this covers more of you than your actual wrestling gear." Hortensia continued, stifling her chuckles in order to enunciate. "This isn't even funny because of the outfit. It's funny because of you freaking out over it." Ivy starting to grumble something that vaguely sounded like "Tiki" before grabbing the bunny suit and beginning to put it on.
Music
If there was one thing Ivy took solace in as she began strutting out to her music, it was that as a rather exclusive hotel, there were very few live spectators here at DD's. God knows how many people this was being filmed to, but at least she couldn't see them back. So Ivy entered the ring, kept reminding herself that the context of the outfit was worse than its reality, and desperately tried to keep her pale face from blushing.

While Ivy was dealing with her crisis in the dressing room, Nicole Demara was already in the adjacent prep area, having arrived forty minutes earlier. For Nicole, the “special attire” clause hadn’t come as a surprise; it was in the fine print of the contract she’d read a month earlier when she was hired at DD’s. She had even brought her own black fishnet stockings and heels just in case, even though the promoters had insisted on providing a matching outfit to maintain thematic consistency.

Now, Nicole stood in front of a full-length mirror, critically assessing the black satin bunny suit they had provided. Unlike Ivy, she didn’t scream. She adjusted the wristbands, tested the range of motion in her shoulders, and tugged at the plush tail to make sure it was secure. It was ridiculous, yes, but Nicole was a professional. If the outfit was part of the fight, she would use it as a weapon. Now that everything was in order, she just had to wait for the call to go on, so she sat quietly and waited.

A coworker burst into the dressing room, and upon seeing Nicole in that outfit, she placed her hands on her ample waist and nodded. “Wow, I didn’t think the bunny suit would make your thighs stand out. They’re even bigger than they look.”

Nicole smiled sweetly and replied. “Ahahah, it’s the dancing girl. How are you, Clarissa?" Nicole said with a giggle.

Clarissa sighed, looking a bit overwhelmed. “Well... Let’s just say this whole wrestler thing is a lot harder than I thought.” She replied. “It’s just... I know I’m kind of new to this, but they always seem to take advantage of me in every match I’m in. I’ve only ever known defeat.”

Nicole listened attentively to Clarissa’s complaints and couldn’t help but relate. “Tell me about it—I’m practically a punching bag for everyone… In fact, that’s how I ended up working here. Lexi challenged me to a match where we bet that I’d get hired to work here. I didn’t think I’d be pinned with just a few caresses and a simple smother!” she replied, embarrassed. “Well, it’s not like I’m complaining. I owed a lot of money before I started working here. And the pay is good, even though our boss is a little… crazy,” Nicole said, taking a dig at Dixie.

Before the conversation could continue, she heard a muffled scream from the next room; it sounded like a girl’s laughter. A slight, knowing smile touched Nicole’s lips. She didn’t need to go into the other room to know that the other woman was losing her mind over the fabric. For Nicole, this wasn’t humiliation; it was a psychological advantage even before the bell rang.

After finishing her warm-up stretches, Nicole looked at herself in the mirror one last time. The outfit was elegant, allowing her to move freely, and the heels were sturdy enough for the canvas. She took a deep breath, taking in the absurdity of the situation. While Ivy struggled with the outfit, Nicole was already planning how to use it against her.

When Ivy’s music began and the murmur of the audience started to rise, Nicole stood by the curtain, listening. She wasn’t blushing. She was calculating. When the assistant signaled her turn, Nicole Demara stepped out, not with embarrassment, but with the serene, predatory elegance of a competitor who had already turned the fiasco into an advantage.
