The Range of an Actress - Hanna Idame vs. Troia Smith

(This is a match that was played over Discord with user Kassia. I am putting it out post-for-post for ease of reading, so each response will be posted by me. Troia’s POV was written by me, and Hanna’s POV was written by Kassia.)

Troia was on a bit of a roll. She had won her last match against a heavyweight in Vermeil, and was now set up for another match. A match against some actress named Hanna Idame, or at least, an aspiring actress who took to wrestling instead. Developed a hot streak on the indies and was now coming in looking to replicate that same success.

Well, Troia was looking to replicate her own success, and treat this taller woman just how she has with the other she faced and put down!

In the ring, the fangirl bounced on her heels, having her own small streaming setup now, but her audience was very negligible compared to Florence’s. She had asked if she could get a host, but Florence said she wanted “more” out of her apprentice before doing something like that, instead doing a makeup stream backstage that was garnering 10x the views — and that was a low point for Florence!

Still… if it worked for Florence, surely it’d work for her too. And she awaited her opponent, ready to show why she was no pushover! And show she was just as strong a wrestler on her own as she was with Florence!

“Put your loving hand out… baby…”

“I’M BEEEEEEEEEEEEGGIIIIIIINNNN”

As the instrumental of Hanna’s entrance music suddenly kicked in with groovy confidence, the actress appeared from backstage just as unexpectedly, arms out wide and a bright smile on her face. The crowd let off a loud roar of excitement as she showed herself, and the woman couldn’t help but take a moment to bask in their support, as cameras started clicking and flashing at breakneck speeds. She’d always dreamed of having large crowds of adoring fans, and paparazzi to go along with it, and while this wasn’t the method she originally had in mind, she still happily welcomed the result.

This was her debut match at a new promotion, so she knew she needed to put on a show, and had already taken the time to psych herself up backstage, allowing her to jog down the ramp with a large grin, her arms still out to high-five everyone she could as she swayed from side to side, excitedly making her way to the ring. Her opponent was some small lightweight, who she was sure she could make light of, but the more important question was what would make for the best show…

As she confidently climbed into the ring, jumping high over all the ropes and landing with grace, she wasted no time in climbing the turnbuckle, cupping a hand to her ear for one last emphatic roar from the audience before dropping down, buzzing and raring to go.

She stared down her opponent in the opposite corner, waving with a friendly smile.

“Hey! Nice to meet you. My name’s Hanna and… well… let’s hope we can put on a good show yeah?! Don’t worry, if you need any help, just ask! I’m in the ring with you after all!”

She giggled as she stretched out her limbs one last time, winking at Troia while she tried to contain her excitement for the beginning of the match, and her chance to entertain a whole new audience. Her heart felt like it was going to burst out of her chest at that fact alone!

Troia watched as this new actress-turned-wrestler got this extravagant entrance. She supposed she shouldn’t be surprised, given the glitz and glamor that came with her profession, the higher-ups signing her wanted to make her seem like a big deal. Florence got similar entrances, and Troia… well, she got a bit of glitter.

The fangirl stood there with her arms crossed watching, just waiting for it to be over with already. There’d be time for showing off, and that’d be when she was dragging this tall woman all over the ring while she can only whimper for mercy!

But then, Hanna spoke up, and Troia looked perplexed. “Ask for help? Who do you think I am?!” she barked, stepping forward and holding her arms out. “I’ve beaten women far more experienced and larger than you. Just watch and I’ll show you!”

Troia then turned and winked to her phone, as if trying to pop her own chat, before turning back to face the larger woman.

DING DING

The match officially started, and Troia hunched down, hands out, before shooting out to try and catch one of Hanna’s legs and trip her down to the mat!

She knew her entrance was flashy, yet Hanna couldn’t care less about how over-the-top it was. All that mattered to her was the crowd’s enthusiasm and beaming smiles every time she emerged, further convincing her to stick to her ways. Even if her opponent wouldn’t appreciate it, the crowd did, and that’s all that matters.

Speaking of opponents not appreciating it, Hanna caught Troia’s unimpressed stance, and despite her words of good faith, she was only met with confident defiance from the fangirl, who winked to her chat after rejecting Hanna’s words.

Hanna let out a soft smile, having dealt with plenty of plucky wrestlers who think they can topple the world before, and didn’t let it deter her, as the bell finally rung.

As Hanna circled her opponent, slightly bent over, she wondered what the actual level of her opponent was. Perhaps she really was experienced despite her size, and could indeed go toe to toe with the actress at her full strength. Or… perhaps she was just as plucky as she looked. Either way, now was the time to find out, and as Troia shot forward, aiming for one of Hanna’s impressive legs, the actress let herself be grabbed, falling to the mat on her back with a light thud.

“Umph!”

Her curiosity only grew as every moment passed, and she was beyond excited to gauge Troia’s level, even if she would be on the receiving end of it for a while. Just what was this girl capable of? How much help would she even need? Could this become a true match to remember?

Troia heard the adulation from the crowd for her opponent, and shook it off. Sure, if it was up to them, Hanna would probably crush her and move on quickly to get back to hearing her theme, but Troia knew she’d be disliked adopting the role of Florence’s fangirl.

Overlooked, underestimated, under-appreciated… what else was new anyway?

She had humbled her last opponent, and Hanna wasn’t going to be any different. Just a girl who thought they were better than her because they were taller, and she’d show them!

Managing to get that single-leg takedown on Troia, she showed that… her technical expertise wasn’t the greatest. She fumbled a bit as she tried to crawl atop of Hanna and secure herself top mount, but if she was allowed to get up there, she’d try and make this bitch pay for trying to offer her advice!

Punches were thrown down, a ground-and-pound beginning that earned her disapproval from the ref, but Troia was focused entirely on throwing down those fists to knock Hanna silly!

… at least, that was the plan, as she wasn’t the strongest and her striking power wasn’t the best, at least in her arms.

As she fell to the mat, Hanna couldn’t help but wonder what other characters she could encounter in LAW. She hadn’t bothered to give it much thought yet, but there truly could be *anyone* here. Every wrestling archetype she could think of and heaps more. Every devastating move out there and beyond. Rule-followers, rebels, rookies, vets… the actress had only just realised it, but the vastness of her new promotion was almost… scary.

But there wasn’t a chance in hell she wasn’t gonna explore it with a grin on her face and a show at each stop!

The taller woman lay poised on her back as Troia eventually mounted her, although not in the most elegant fashion. The fangirl’s punches eventually came raining down, and Hanna’s arms quickly went up to guard her face.

Yet… she barely even needed to, as she quickly realised the smaller woman wasn’t as confident technically as she assumed, and her attempted ground-and-pound barely rocked the actress, who defended herself diligently. She let out a small sigh, but gave Troia the benefit of the doubt and one last chance before she knew she would have to take the reins and prevent the crowd from dozing off.

“Come on little one… impress me!”

She sneaked out between punches with a sly smile, hoping it would motivate the fangirl to perhaps pull out something more interesting, and hook the crowd in early.

Troia didn’t quite learn from her last match. Her past opponent had been able to easily defend against her punches, and it seemed Hanna was no different – or worse, even better at defending! Not a single punch was landed before Troia had to throw her hands up at the referee’s count.

But that wasn’t the end of Troia’s attempts to boggle this woman’s head. Hearing those words, she snarled. “Little one?!” she repeated Hanna’s descriptor of her, before grabbing onto her hair and trying something more effective.

Lifting up and slamming Hanna’s head against the mat! While her technique wasn’t the one nor her strength, she didn’t need much of the two for this. Attempting to repeatedly bash the back of this actress’s skull against the hard mat and dribble her head until the referee has to tell her to stop!

“We’ll see who’s feeling small by the end of this, you twerp!” Troia even added on as she kept up her attack. Not exactly the most graceful of moves, but still one that could be mighty effective if Hanna couldn’t find a counter to it!

Troia’s punches didn’t end up amounting to much before the ref forced her to stop, and Hanna dropped her guard for a moment to look up at her feisty opponent, her cocky smile still present. She knew there *had* to be *something* fun in there, something she could bring out to elevate this match to a whole new level when the time comes, but she’d have to continue her onslaught of teasing to even have a chance of bringing it out.

“Yeah! Little! Like a-”

Before Hanna could even finish her second remark, she felt her long, dark hair be tightly grabbed, and she did her best to brace herself as her head was mercilessly slammed against the mat multiple times over!

‘Well, that was quick…’

Hanna thought to herself as she clenched her teeth, holding onto Troia’s arms as she took the full force of every ruthless slam. While not quite as flashy as she hoped juuust yet, it was certainly a start, and Hanna kicked her legs out in pain as Troia continued to bounce the back of her skull against the mat, much to the ref’s displeasure.

The crowd let out repeated “OOO”’s and “OHHH”’s at every slam, a vicious atmosphere already trying to establish itself around the match.

Troia knew she was small, that she wasn’t so strong. And with this, she wasn’t too athletic neither. And what Florence helped her realize is that if she couldn’t muscle others around or do anything high-flying… she had to go low at times – pun not intended. Starting with the ground-and-pound and now pounding Hanna’s head repeatedly on the mat.

The targeting of the head was also something she learned. Someone could be as built and powerful as can be, but there was no jacking up the head. Boggling one’s brain could make even the strongest of foes falter, and Troia wanted to make sure this arrogant actress was seeing triple before she was done!

And after many, many plows, the referee finally stepped in to tell Troia to stop the attack, to which she did. Dropping Hanna’s head back down to the mat and throwing her hands up, before looking down to admire her handiwork.

“N’aw, what’s wrong? Too impressed?” Troia decided to taunt, her fingers digging into the jaw of the taller woman’s. Holding onto her face to deliver her taunts directly, before whipping a hard slap right across her face! A show of utter disrespect, before her fingers dug back into her hair.

“Too bad, we’ve got far more to do!” Troia then sneered, standing up and yanking on the mane of Hanna’s to start bringing her up too. Thinking of just what moves to hit next…

Hanna’s heart started to race more and more with each slam, forcing herself to conceal the smile that desperately tried to crawl onto her face.

‘This lightweight isn’t half bad after all… Certainly has enough of a mean streak to make this match fun!’

The actress continued to think as her head was slammed over, and over, and over again onto the mat by Troia, the fangirl unrelenting in her harsh offence. Eventually, the ref forced a stoppage, and Hanna lay with her arms out, putting on a face of pain that was partially true. This was a fantastic start, and she had quickly grown from disappointed to beyond excited for what Troia could pull off.

Her pained expression was maintained as Troia grabbed a hold of her face, and the humiliation only continued as she was forced to eat the full force of Troia’s hard slap, swatting the woman’s face to the side as she groaned out!

This was more like it. A proper heel, someone who isn’t afraid to humiliate their opponents after playing dirty, someone who can really get the crowd wincing in just as much sympathetic pain as their opponent probably feels. Hanna was certain good things were to come, and so, she continued to play along, convincing herself she was still mostly in control as she was yanked to her feet by her hair, wincing and clenching her teeth as she waited for Troia’s next move, eager for more before she decided to turn the tides.

“Is… Is that all you got?”

She spat out confidently.

“I hit harder when I’m drunk… and I’ve never even been drunk!”

The taller woman’s cocky, and slightly corny, teasing was quickly followed by that same old sly smile, relishing in the anger/annoyance it always brought, even if it meant she was only going to be treated to even worse moves.

Thankfully for Hanna, that’s exactly what she was looking for…
