Couples Collision: Nix and Troy vs The Green Machine

Nix reached the edge of the ring, her patience snapping as Ripley’s taunts grated on her nerves. Without hesitation, she turned sharply and smacked Ripley across the face, the crack of her palm against skin echoing sharply. “Shut. Up.” Nix hissed as she grabbed Ripley by the shoulders and rolled her back into the ring with a rough shove. Ripley’s body hit the canvas with a dull thud, that definitely hurt, Nix thought but she didn’t care. She was done playing nice.

Meanwhile, Troy’s fist flew toward Neo’s face in a furious barrage, but Neo was quicker than he anticipated. Neo caught Troy’s arm mid-punch, twisting it sharply and using Troy’s momentum against him. With a swift, practiced motion, Neo rotated his hips and tossed Troy over the top rope. Troy’s body crashed hard onto the edge of the rink, his breath leaving him in a sharp gasp as he landed awkwardly on his side. He winced, clutching his ribs as he tried to recover from the impact.

Nix’s eyes snapped to the scene, her jaw tightening with fury as she watched Troy hit the ground. That’s it, she thought, her temper flaring white-hot. Without a second thought, she grabbed Ripley from the mat, lifting her off the canvas with adrenaline-fueled strength. Nix’s gaze locked onto Neo across the ring, her expression cold and fierce. “I fucking hate frat boys,” she muttered to herself as she hurled Ripley’s body like a human projectile straight at Neo.

Ripley had to snicker as her words definitely got under Nix's skin. She was annoying this girl wonderfully. The annoyed Nox was tired of Ripley and roughly rolled her into the ring. It was not a soft landing and hurt like hell, especially in her injured ribs. Next to Ripley, she could see the ref slowly start to come to and get to her feet. Ripley then looked over to check on Neo, who was being the big guys punching bag. "Come on, Neo!!! Fight back!!"

At Ripley's words, Neo grabbed Troy's punch and pulled him towards him, before using a Judo throw to toss the big man out of the ring. The whole arena gasped at the sudden move. It seemed they thought that Troy had Neo on the ropes. Neo's attention though quickly snapped to check in Ripley. It was perfect timing, Nix had entered the ring with Ripley and lifted her up and was tossing the weakened girl at Neo. Ripley flew through the air. Thankfully Neo has turned towards her and was able to easily catch her in his arms. He held her there in his arms. They both looked into each other's eyes, the arena was now just background noise. "Of all the rings in all the arenas you walk into mine!" They smiled at each other, not paying attention to Nix or Troy or the recovering ref.

Nix glanced over at Neo and Ripley, their eyes locked in what could only be described as a painfully obvious romantic moment. She rolled her eyes, muttering under her breath, “Even me and Troy aren’t that cheesy. Get a room, seriously.” Her annoyance was palpable, but it didn’t last long. Across the ring, Troy had already recovered from Neo’s judo throw, climbing back onto the apron with a crafty glint in his eye. Their gazes met, and with a sharp snap of his fingers, Troy silently signaled Nix to get back on the same page.

Nix’s lips curled into a smirk as she nodded slightly. No words needed. They were a team, and they knew exactly how to capitalize on their opponents’ distractions. While Neo and Ripley were busy staring into each other’s eyes like some kind of wrestling-themed rom-com, Nix and Troy moved in perfect sync.

Nix crouched low, her body coiled like a spring as she prepared for her next move. Her focus shifted to Ripley, still cradled in Neo’s arms like some damsel in distress. Perfect target, Nix thought, her smirk widening. She launched herself forward with a burst of speed, aiming her drop kick directly at Ripley’s back, intending to send her crashing further into Neo. At the same time, Troy gripped the top rope, his muscles tensing as he pulled it down with a sharp tug, creating an open pathway out of the ring. Their timing was flawless, their movements fluid and precise. The move would hopefully send both Neo and Ripley out of the ring, allowing Nix and Troy to regroup.

Ripley and Neo were lost in each other's eyes and not paying attention to their opponents. Which in retrospect isn't a great strategy while wrestling. They didn't notice as the other couple moved to strike. Troy had moved in position outside the ring, as Nix had lined up her strike. The two love birds none the wiser.

Neo saw a flash of movement out of the peripheral of his eye. Nix was charging straight at them. He didn't have time to move away, or get Ripley to safety, so he did the best he could. He turned his body so he was in between Nix and Ripley. Neo took the full force of the dropkick. Unfortunately he did not see Troy on the outside, pulling the ropes down. The force of the kick sent Neo and Ripley toppling over the top rope. And since Neo moved his body in-between Ripley and the kick, Ripley was now on the bottom as the crashed into the floor.

The arena shook as the couple collided with the concrete. Ripley getting crushed underneath Neo's weight. Loud groans of pain could be heard from the pile of limbs. "Sorry, Rip!!! At least I saved you from the dropkick!!" Neo tried to apologize. He slowly untangled himself and got off of Ripley. Ripley was mostly out of it after being crushed. Neo wasn't quite sure what to do as he saw the ref getting to her feet, their opponents regrouping, and Ripley helpless on the floor.

Troy slid back under the bottom rope with the kind of smooth confidence that only came from years of instinct and chemistry. His boots hit the canvas with a sharp thud as he rose to his feet, eyes immediately locking with Nix across the ring. No words were exchanged. None were needed. A single nod passed between them. That was all it took. Troy stepped toward the ropes, planting his feet firmly as his hands gripped the top strand. Across from him, Nix glanced toward the outside, spotting Neo and Ripley still trying to recover from their hard fall to the arena floor.

A crooked smirk spread across Nix’s face. Still seeing stars?” she called out, tilting her head with mock sympathy. She clicked her tongue and gave a dramatic shrug. “That’s rough.” She bounced lightly on the balls of her feet, loosening her shoulders as her grin sharpened into something far more dangerous.

“Try not to blink.”

Then she took off. Her boots pounded against the mat in quick, explosive strides as she built speed, every step more committed than the last. Troy dropped his stance, muscles tightening as he prepared for the launch. The moment Nix reached him, she planted a foot against the middle rope and threw herself upward as Troy caught her without hesitation. With a powerful lift, he hoisted her up over the ropes, using her momentum and his own strength to send her soaring outward toward the floor below. Nix tucked slightly in midair, arms spread wide and eyes locked on her targets as she launched herself toward Neo and Ripley—ready to come crashing down.

Neo decided to put the match out of his mind for a minute as he got Ripley to her feet. She held her head, wobbly on her feet. Clearly still quite dazed. "You good, Rip? How about you go to the corner and I stay in the ring for a bit!!! Take a minute to recuperate!!" Neo was worried she may still be too out of it.

"Nah I'm good, Neo!" Ripley answered as Neo sighed in relief. "Just a little fuzzy, but I am still good to fight!!! Let's finish off this wannabe Disney Channel Couple!!!". As they talked Nix and Troy tried to enact their high flying move. Nix ran towards Nix and using his strength he launched her high into the air. Ripley saw movement behind Neo and focused on it just in time to see Nix flying through the air. "SHIT!!! WATCH OUT, BABE!!" Ripley roughly grabbed Neo and pulled him out of the way. She tossed him to safety. Nix collided with only Ripley. She crumpled under the attack, crashing into the hard floor. Ripley laid there now completely knocked out. Neo laid there in stunned as Nix took out Ripley with the high flying move.

Nix rolled to her feet with a practiced motion, shaking off the impact as she glanced down at Ripley’s unconscious form. A smirk tugged at her lips—one down, one to go. Her gaze flicked to Neo, still sprawled on the floor in stunned silence after Ripley’s desperate save. Perfect.

Above them, Troy wasted no time. He’d already scaled the turnbuckle, his silhouette framed by the arena lights as he balanced on the top rope. His eyes locked onto Neo’s prone body, calculating the trajectory. No hesitation. No mercy. With a sharp inhale, he launched himself forward, arms spread like a bird of prey as he descended toward his target. The crowd’s roar swelled as Troy’s body cut through the air, his knees tucking slightly to maximize the impact.

Nix stepped back, arms crossed, watching with cold satisfaction. This was how you ended a match. No ref, no rules—just raw, unfiltered punishment. Troy’s shadow loomed over Neo for a split second before gravity took over, his entire weight crashing down toward his defenseless opponent.

Ripley was completely out like light. Nix had taken her out of the game. Neo was the only one left, but he was too stunned to do anything. He looked down at Ripley concerned, not thinking about the match anymore. He did not see Troy climb the turnbuckle. He didn't the her the crowd hold it's breath in anticipation. He didn't see the wrestler leap off the top rope, sailing through the air. Neo was oblivious to it all till Troy came crashing into his reality.

Neo was slammed down onto the hard concrete, all the air being slammed out of his lungs. His head bouncing off the cold ground. The slam smashed Neo's reality and into lala land. Neo and Ripley both laid there knocked out by the other couple. The ref now fully recovered came to the scene and analyzed the situation. She could see that the match seemed close to ending now.

As Troy crash-landed onto Neo, he rolled across the canvas with a dramatic flourish, somehow finding the energy for theatrics even after the chaos they'd just endured. Coming to a stop beside Nix, he pushed himself up onto one knee and extended a hand toward her with exaggerated gallantry, as though they were attending a royal gala instead of standing amid the wreckage of a tag team match. "My lady," he teased, bowing his head with a grin that somehow survived every bump and bruise of the match. Nix immediately scoffed, swatting his hand away, though the faint twitch at the corner of her mouth betrayed her amusement. "After the match." Troy placed a hand over his heart in mock devastation before shrugging dramatically. "Fair enough. Then let's wrap this up."

Troy hauled Neo's limp body off the mat and dragged him back toward the ring while Nix did the same with Ripley. They barely needed to exchange a glance. Troy rolled Neo into position first, spreading him out in the center of the ring before stepping back to inspect his work. Moments later, Nix unceremoniously dumped Ripley directly on top of him with all the care one might give a sack of laundry. The crowd erupted with laughter and cheers at the sheer disrespect of the display, and Troy nodded approvingly at the sight.

"Perfect," he declared, placing his hands on his hips.

Nix folded her arms and tilted her head, examining their handiwork like a critic admiring a masterpiece. "I think it's art."

"I was thinking the exact same thing."

Turning away from their conveniently stacked opponents, Troy offered his hand once more. This time Nix accepted it without protest. Their fingers intertwined as they stepped forward together, and Troy raised their joined hands high above their heads. Nix tried to maintain her usual cool demeanor, but the satisfaction on her face was impossible to hide. Then, just to make absolutely certain everyone understood who had won this match, they each planted a boot firmly on Ripley's back.

The referee finally recovered enough to slide into position beside the pile.

"One!"

"Two!"

"THREE!"

The referee's hand slapped the mat one final time before the bell rang, and the arena exploded. The victory was official.

Troy threw his head back with a triumphant laugh while Nix pumped a fist into the air, the adrenaline and relief finally crashing over them. Without hesitation, Troy turned toward her and pulled her closer. Nix met him halfway, neither pretending for even a second that this wasn't exactly the outcome they'd hoped for. They shared a quick, victorious kiss directly above their defeated opponents, completely unconcerned with the thousands of people watching.

When they finally pulled apart, both were still smiling. Troy kept hold of her hand as they turned toward the audience, standing tall in the center of the ring while the cheers continued to wash over them from every direction. Beneath them, Neo and Ripley stirred weakly on the canvas, but neither Troy nor Nix paid them any attention. For that moment, there were no opponents, no obstacles, and no chaos left to overcome. There was only victory.
