Peggy McIntyre vs. Diago

Peggy stood up and then ran for the ropes running as quickly as she could before she bounced off to run back at Diago. As soon as he was starting to get up Peggy jumped and led with her feet looking to plant him in the face with a running dropkick! She was trying to land some big strikes so she could keep him stunned or dazed for a while. That would be her best bet. She had a gameplan now she had to stick to it and land meaningful offense as often as she could.

Daigo lay sprawled on the floor, struggling to recover from his failed aerial attack, while the female fighter had vanished from his sight. Now he was trying to recover and get back to his feet, only to see that his opponent was already at the ropes and had launched herself at him with a flying kick

The giant didn’t even have a chance to react to the Irishwoman’s attack and took the full brunt of it, falling back onto the mat and being dazed for a moment, unsure of what to do in that situation and giving Peggy enough time to gain the upper hand and turn the tide of the match.

Peggy landed the hit and knew she had to keep piling on. She had an idea, one that was something not typical of her usual offense. She stood up and ran to the corner as quickly as she could, climbing up the turnbuckle. Peggy jumped off and extended her legs trying to come crashing down on top of Diago with a top rope leg drop! If she succeeded she would immediately attempt to pin Diago afterward.

The blow landed squarely on Daigo, leaving him vulnerable to any attack from the Amazon, and that was exactly what happened. Peggy, neither slow nor clumsy, climbed up from the corner and decided to leap forward to kick the giant’s body. This earned her applause from the crowd for a move outside her usual repertoire.

And without wasting any time, the Irishwoman climbed on top of him to begin the pin with which she planned to end the match.

AND...

At that moment, Daigo shook off the woman on top of him to avoid losing; it was still too early to give up, and he still had a lot to prove tonight. “Hey, that was close, but you’ll need more to defeat this muscle-bound beast,” he said as he stood up to continue, offering her a test of endurance to see who was the stronger of the two.

Peggy felt Diago kick out and when he stood and offered a test of strength she smiled. There was not way she could take him in this. She would be foolish to think otherwise but she did see a way to use this so she could take advantage of him. Her hands grabbed his and even though she pushed she was the one being forced back.

Just as she had planned. As Peggy took a few steps back she changed tactics. She let herself fall back and kicked her legs up into his abdomen as she monkey flipped him over to land on his back on the mat!

When Daigo stood up and saw that Peggy had accepted this test of strength, he couldn’t hide his happy smile at the prospect of fighting someone as strong as the Irishwoman. In the showdown, it was clear that the giant was superior to the warrior, forcing her to retreat. But his opponent already had a plan, and she hadn’t accepted this test of strength merely out of pride.

His opponent dropped to her knees to kick him in the abdomen with her legs, and he fell quickly face-first to the ground while she stood up. Now Daigo wondered what he could do, so he decided to take one of the brass knuckles he had in his jacket without Nafie noticing, so that when the veteran approached him, he could punch her in the stomach with it and then hide it without anyone noticing.

Peggy managed to take advantage of the test of strength but when she made her way over to pull him back up she was hammered by a cheap shot as he pulled out brass knuckles and landed a hard strike! She groaned and stumbled back, falling to her knees as her arms cradled her abdomen. "Damn zebra open yer eyes, he just hit me with a cheap shot and some brass knuckles like a wannabe punk..." Peggy wheezed out as she was struggling to recover.

Was it a dirty trick? Yes. Did Daigo care? Clearly not; to him, it was “pro wrestling,” and that meant anything went. He wasn’t going to get upset if Peggy retaliated with another dirty move, since he’d started it. Luckily, he focused more on berating the referee, who hadn’t noticed anything out of the ordinary. Typical of L.A.W. referees.

While this was happening, Daigo began to slowly get to his feet while the Amazon argued and tried to recover from the blow to the stomach. The behemoth carefully approached the veteran from behind to surprise her and unleash his “brute force” before she could respond.

Peggy was still down when she was grabbed from behind and lift up, being sent crashing down to the mat after! The ring shook and she howled in pain as she laid there on the mat again, reeling as she seemed to struggle even more. She was in a bad spot and knew that if she didn't turn things around she was not going to walk out of here with a win.

Daigo didn't consider himself a quiet or cautious person, but he gave it a try and it worked. He managed to execute a move from behind without the Amazon noticing; this, of course, drew boos from the crowd due to the dishonorable tactics the giant was employing. He didn’t care much about that, though; he wasn’t bothered by the use of tricks in the ring and believed that all of them should be allowed.

Now, with his opponent reeling, he wanted to follow up with his move. And what better way than with a Muscle Buster, which he would use to try to leave the Irishwoman even more injured and have victory handed to him on a silver platter? Before attempting to ram into her, he would say, “It’s a shame to have to hurt a woman like you, but what can you do?” he would say honestly before trying to grab the rider from behind.
