Couples Collision: Nix and Troy vs The Green Machine

Troy’s anger flared as the ref kept pushing him back toward his corner, his frustration boiling over. “Oh, come on!” he snapped, gesturing wildly toward Neo. “He was about to jump off the damn turnbuckle onto Nix—how is he not getting chewed out for that?” The ref just shook her head, unmoved. Troy scoffed, muttering under his breath, “Refs in this league are worse than the NHL’s.”

Neo, meanwhile, was too busy laughing at Troy’s mounting frustration to notice the danger creeping up behind him. Nix, now fully recovered, moved like a shadow, her steps silent as she closed the distance. Her eyes locked onto Neo’s back, her lips curling into a smirk.

Time to return the favor.

In one fluid motion, Nix leaped onto Neo’s back, slipping her arms under his shoulders as she arched backward, her body already committing to the motion. The setup was unmistakable—she was going for a devastating backstabber, trying to drag him down across her knees. If it connected, it would give her just enough space to regain her bearings and regroup with Troy.

Ripley was dizzy. She was pretty sure she was in a wrestling match, and that Neo was here with her, but other than that she was at a loss for what was going on. She just went off instinct and rolled out of the ring, falling to the floor, failing to have her feet catch her. She groaned as she crawled over to the ring steps and slowly climbed them. Resting at ringside trying to stop the world from spinning.

Neo on the other hand was feeling super smug. He pointed and laughed at Troy, even sticking his tongue out at him. He was enjoying himself so much he didn't hear Nix sneak up on him, till he felt a tug on his shoulders. He was dragged backwards and then slammed down onto the knees of Nix with a devastating backstabber. Neo gasped in pain, as the knees slammed into his spine. He then bounced off of them, before crashing down on the mat. "GGGAAAAHHHHH!!" Neo laid there, arching his back in pain and trying to massage it as Nix was free to regroup with her partner Troy.

Nix sucked in a sharp breath as Troy pulled her to her feet, his hands lingering just a second longer than necessary to make sure she was steady. "You good?" he asked. Nix rolled her shoulders, adjusting her glasses with a quick flick of her fingers. "Better now," she muttered, her gaze flicking toward Neo, who was still writhing on the mat.

Troy grinned, a spark of mischief in his eyes. "Then let’s have some fun." Before Nix could ask what he meant, Troy was already moving, stepping forward to deliver a sharp kick to Neo’s ribs—once, twice—just enough to keep him down. He turned back to Nix, jerking his chin upward. "Hop on."

Nix arched an eyebrow. "Seriously?"

Troy flexed his shoulders, bracing himself. "You wanted to make an impression, right?"

A slow smirk spread across Nix’s face as she stepped forward, placing one foot in his cupped hands before vaulting onto his shoulders. Troy steadied her with a firm grip on her thighs, his voice teasing. "Don’t fall off now, hotshot."

Nix scoffed, rolling her eyes, but her focus was already locked onto Neo. She crouched slightly, coiled like a spring, before launching herself off Troy’s shoulders with a fierce cry—her body arcing through the air like a missile aimed straight for her downed opponent.

Neo was writhing in pain on the mat. He was in no shape to stop.his opponent from tagging in her partner, or to stop them as they set up a big move. It seems the smaller woman had crawled on top of the shoulders of the man, in some strange circus act. "Is this wrestling, or Cirque Du Soleil?!" In answer the girl.jumped off the guys shoulders and torpedoed towards him. Her body slammed into his, knocking all the air and almost his lunch out of him. (Thankfully Neo did not actually like, just felt like he almost did)

Ripley had recovered enough to stand up and get back to be ready to tag in. She looked into the ring, just in time to see that little Nix fly into Neo and knock the fight out of him. This wasn't good. They were double teaming him and she was out her doing nothing. She would need to be smart though, otherwise the ref would stop her. She hopped down again, and went under the ring to grab something, formulating a plan to try and save Neo.

Nix landed hard on Neo, her body crashing into his with enough force to leave him wheezing on the mat. She rolled off him with a groan, shaking her head to clear the haze of impact. As she pushed herself up onto her knees, Troy was already there, extending a hand toward her with an exaggerated flourish.

"My lady," he said in a mock-pompous tone, his voice dripping with mock nobility as he bent down, tucking one hand behind his back whilst the other was extended towards her. "Allow me to assist you in your triumphant return to your feet."

Nix chuckled to herself, grabbing his hand with a roll of her eyes. "You’re such a dork," she muttered as he pulled her upright. She dusted herself off, adjusting her glasses with a quick flick of her fingers. But just as she started to turn back toward Neo, her brow furrowed, her gaze sweeping the ring. Something felt…off.

"Hold up," she said, her voice sharpening as her focus shifted. Her eyes scanned the surrounding area, her instincts kicking in.

"Where the hell is Ripley?"

Nix and Troy successfully executed their big move. The two seemed happy celebrating in their own weird way. Neo laid below them groaning in pain. They were feeling great till Nix seemed to notice Ripley missing. She started to look around as the ref came over. "Okay, okay, you got your big move off now back to your corner. Big boy you are the legal fighter for your team now!!". She then tried to usher Nix back to her corner to await a tag.

Ripley rustled underneath the dark ring, not sure what was going on above. "So many options!!! Chairs, kendo sticks, tables, even a metal chain!!! Why do they have all this under the ring?!!" Ripley shrugged to herself and grabbed the metal chain. She decided it was best to sneak out from one of the sides without either team on it. She came out facing the announcer table. She hugged close to the ring, so as not to come into sight of anyone in the ring. She snuck along to the corner and peaked over to see if Nix was standing in their corner.

As the referee ushered Nix back to the corner, Troy turned toward Neo, his lip curling in contempt as he eyed his downed opponent. With a quick glance to make sure the ref wasn’t watching, he spat lightly onto Neo’s chest, the gesture crude but effective in conveying his irritation. “You and your girlfriend think you’re soooo clever, huh?” Troy muttered under his breath, his voice low and dripping with disdain. He straightened up, cracking his knuckles as he began visually searching for Ripley around the opposing corner from Nix.

Across the ring, Nix stood in her corner, arms folded loosely across her chest as she kept a casual eye on the proceedings. Much to her annoyance, she was being chewed out by the referee, but she really wasn't paying attention. That’s when she caught it: the subtle motion of Troy leaning over Neo, spitting lightly onto his chest.

Nix’s lips twitched into a smirk, and she stifled a chuckle, shaking her head slightly. Classy, she thought to herself, her amusement evident despite the tension of the match. Some habits died hard—especially the rough, scrappy instincts Troy had picked up on the ice. She shot him a quick glance, her eyes narrowing playfully as if to say, Really?

Troy simply responded with a smirk before turning back. Nix chuckled at his antics, but her attention remained elsewhere—so much so that she hadn’t even noticed her opponent reemerging from under the ring.

Neo laid there still recovering after the big move. The guy now stood over him, before spitting on him. Well that is just unsanitary was all Neo could think to himself. The guy cracked his knuckles before sharing glances with his girlfriend and even apparently looking for Ripley. Neo knew from experience that looking for Ripley was futile, that girl had a weird talent for blending into a crowd even with stark neon green hair. Well if his guy was going to be busy looking at everyone than him, he was going to use to his advantage. Neo got to his hand and knees, before sending his arm upward, right between Troy's trying to hit the opponent with another lowblow. "Nah we ain't clever, just underhanded!!"

Ripley saw Nix's attention and the refs turn back towards the ring. She continued to sneak around the ring, getting behind Nix. She wrapped some of the chain around her hand. "Stop trying to steal my Lucky Charms!!" Ripley yelled as she attempted to slam her chain covered fist into the back of Nix.

Troy’s reflexes kicked in just in time as Neo’s hand shot upward toward his groin. With a quick twist of his hips, he caught Neo’s wrist mid-motion, his grip firm and unyielding. “Nice try,” Troy growled, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. “But I don’t fall for the same trick twice.” He shoved Neo’s arm back down with a sharp motion, his eyes narrowing as he turned his attention back to the ring.

But the momentary distraction gave Ripley the opening she needed. Her chain-wrapped fist connected with Nix’s back with a sickening thud, the force of the blow sending a jolt of pain through Nix’s body. “AH!” Nix cried out, her voice sharp and strained as she stumbled forward, her hands desperately clutching the ring ropes to keep herself upright. The sound of her cry echoed through the arena, drawing the attention of both Troy and the referee, who turned sharply toward the commotion.

Nix’s shoulders heaved as she tried to catch her breath, her knuckles white from gripping the ropes so tightly. “Son of a—” she hissed through clenched teeth, her voice low and venomous. Her glasses were askew, her blonde hair sticking to her forehead in messy strands, but her mind was razor-focused on one thing: Ripley was going to pay for that.

She could feel the dull ache throbbing in her back where the chain had connected, a reminder of Ripley’s cheap shot. Nix’s jaw tightened as she straightened up, her hands still gripping the ropes for balance. Her eyes burned with fury as she glanced over her shoulder, locking onto Ripley with a glare that could’ve melted steel.

"You’re gonna wish you stayed under the damn ring.”

Neo's lowblow attack was stopped, seems this Troy guy learns fast. He shoved Neo's arm back down, harshly. Neo's arm slams into the mat. The move stings a bit, but doesn't do much else. Neo's opponent now stares him down. Well at least he was paying attention to me now Neo thought. He finished getting to his feet and met Troy's gaze before taking a boxing stance. "Wanna Dance, pretty boy?" But before they could do anything, there is a loud scream as Ripley attacks Nix. Troy looks towards his corner. Well I guess me being the center of attention was short lived. Neo thought to himself, but this worked better for him. Neo sent a sucker punch towards the back of Troy's head.

Ripley was successful in her surprise attack. She loved how Nix arched her back in pain. Yes the chain definitely hurt. And man did she do a great job pissing her off. Ripley smirked as her opponent threatened her. "Calm down Nick at Nite, that was only the beginning!!" Ripley then prepared to use the chain as a whip. But before she could start whipping Nix the ref came over.

"What the Fuck are you doing!!! Get back to your corner before I Disqualify you!!! Why the fuck do I always get the bimbos who can't follow rules, and why do they always have such stupid dyed hair!!" Ripley was taken a back by that last one. Her green hair was her natural hair color, though she did dye the tips blue. Well she wasn't going to just let the ref tell her what to do after such disrespect. Ripley sent the chain flying as a whip... at the ref now instead of Nix.
