Backstage, the atmosphere buzzed with the roar of the crowd blasting through the swaying curtains. Nix paced back and forth, bouncing lightly on the balls of her feet, rolling her shoulders as she tried to shake off the nervous energy building in her chest. Across the room, Troy finished taping his wrists and glanced over at her with a small, amused grin. “You’re practically dancing over there,” he teased. Nix stopped pacing just long enough to flash him a grin. “Hey, if this is our first tag match together, I’m allowed to be excited.” She tilted her head toward him with a playful shrug. “Besides… it wouldn’t be one of our date nights without a little wrestling.” Troy chuckled, flexing his taped hands. “Right. Totally normal couple activity.”

Nix leaned back against one of the lockers, folding her arms as her excitement settled into a more focused energy. “Still feels weird though,” she admitted. “We’ve both been in LAW for a while and this is the first time they’ve actually teamed us up.” Troy shrugged, standing and giving his wrists one final flex. “Guess they figured it’d either be great chemistry or a total disaster.” Nix raised an eyebrow. “And which one are you betting on?” Troy smirked. “I like our odds.”

For a moment they both glanced toward the opposing locker room. Somewhere beyond those doors were Neo and Ripley—tonight’s opponents. Nix tilted her head slightly. “You realize they’re a couple too, right?” she said. Troy nodded casually. “Yeah, I heard.” He paused for a second before a mischievous grin crept onto his face. “So technically… this counts as a double date.”

Smack.

Nix reached over and lightly clipped the back of his head without hesitation. “Focus,” she said flatly. Troy rubbed the back of his head, though he was clearly trying not to laugh. “Ow...Violent already.” Nix shook her head, but a smile tugged at the corner of her mouth.

Right on cue, the muffled opening beat of their entrance theme rumbled through the arena speakers, the familiar mashup of Britney Spears’ Get Back and Madonna’s 4 Minutes echoing down the hallway. A stagehand poked their head through the doorway and motioned for them to move. Nix shot Troy a quick grin before heading toward the curtain. Together they stepped out onto the ramp, greeted by the glow of arena lights and the hum of the crowd. They walked side by side down the ramp toward the ring, exchanging one last nod before Nix slid under the bottom rope and Troy climbed through behind her, their first match together in LAW about to begin as they anticipate their opponents' arrival.

Neo and Ripley got ready in their locker room. They were putting on their ring gear after a nice quick shower. Ripley was even pulling up the latest audiobook to play on he headphones for the match. They discussed the match coming up. Ripley mentioned, "So I heard they are pretty new couple to LAW."

"Yes, but they are a couple! Which is a type of a match we have been looking for. Not enough couples in this league! And we do love wrestling other couples!" Neo smirked as he did some quick stretches.

"Very true! Also I heard they were big jobbers. Should be an easy in today!!". They both exchanged wicked little grins already thinking about dominating another couple. They stretched together as they waited for the match to start. Soon an attendant grabbed them to make their entrance. They quickly went to the top of the ramp waiting for their music to start.

Entrance Music

There entrance music blared over the speakers as they stepped out onto the ramp. They posed Neo flexing with Ripley winking and blowing a kiss as pyrotechnics went off. They strutted down the ramp waving and shaking the hands of fans, even signing a few autographs. Ripley kept blowing kisses to the fans. Once at the ring, Ripley dove under the ropes as Neo stepped through them. He flexed behind her again as Ripley did a sexy pose arching her back as she got to her knees. They hopped up and made their way to their corner. They stood their discussing strategy and eyeing their opponents, waiting for the ref and the bell.

Troy eyed Neo across the ring, sizing him up with a smirk. "Three inches taller than me, but we weigh the same? Guess all those muscles are just for show, huh?" Nix rolled her eyes but couldn’t suppress a grin. Her attention shifted to Ripley, who was still striking suggestive poses for the crowd. Nix folded her arms, raising an eyebrow. "Someone’s putting on a real performance out here."

Troy shot her a sideways glance. "Says the woman whose gear doesn’t exactly leave much to the imagination."

Smack.

Nix’s palm connected with his bicep—lightly, but enough to make him wince. Troy chuckled, rubbing his arm. "Okay, yeah, I deserved that one."

Nix smirked. "Damn right, you did."

Troy turned back toward the ring, cracking his knuckles. "Guess I’ll start against Neo then. You know, since I should be punished for my heinous transgression." Nix gave him a playful shove toward the center of the ring. "Just don’t embarrass me out there." Troy shot her a wink before stepping forward, rolling his shoulders as the ref signaled for the bell.

As the bell rang, Troy raised a hand and crooked two fingers toward Neo. “Alright, big guy. Let’s see what those extra three inches can actually do.”

This was going to be fun.

Neo and Ripley had finally finished their entrance. The ref then came over and checked for weapons, before going over the rules with both teams. Standard tag match, one team member in the ring at a time. Win with a pinfall or submission. Bog standard stuff. Ripley rolled her eyes as the ref droned on and Neo mockingly mimiced the ref talking with his hand like a puppet. They shooke the other couples hand smiling as they did, then headed back to their corner. They checked who their opponents would start with. It seems they wanted to start with guys. Well Neo and Ripley weren't the type to follow what their opponents wanted, so Neo stepped out of the ring as Ripley started. Neo patting her on the back while whispering in her ear. "Remember every guy's weakness is between his legs!" Ripley smirked as the bell rang.

Ripley took more of a kickboxer stance, but inched towards her opponent. She could see he was a little surprised. Clearly he was expecting and looking forward to testing out Neo. "You ready, Big Boy!!" Well it seemed she already had him on the wrong foot, now to capitalize on it. She then sprinted forward and leapt trying to hit him in the head with a flying spin kick. She would then hopefully follow that up with slamming an axe kick down on his prone or bent over body, aiming for his neck.

Troy’s eyes widened as Ripley’s spinning kick came hurtling toward him. "WOAH HEY!" he shouted, instinctively ducking low to avoid the strike. But the sudden movement threw him off balance, and he stumbled backward, landing hard on his ass. Great start, he thought, scrambling to recover. Before he could get to his feet, Ripley was already spinning into her next move—a driving axe kick aimed straight for his head.

Troy quickly threw his arms up to block Ripley’s axe kick, her heel slamming into his forearms with a loud thud. From the corner of the ring, Nix couldn’t help but tease him. "Nice fall, Champ! Real graceful!" she called out, smirking. "Guess that time on the ice didn’t teach you much about staying on your skates—or your feet!" Troy shot her a glare from the mat, clearly unamused but still trying to focus on Ripley’s relentless attack. Nix chuckled, enjoying the moment while keeping an eye on her partner.

"Thanks for the support," Troy muttered, still wincing from the impact. But before he could fully recover, Ripley was already on him again, her movements lightning-fast. She shifted her weight and threw another spinning kick, this time aiming for his ribs. Troy blocked it again, gritted his teeth and pushed upward with all his strength, shoving Ripley’s leg back in an attempt to throw her off balance.

Ripley started out on the attack going for a leaping spin kick. Her opponent seemed quite spry dodging that attack. He then was able to mostly block her follow up axe kick, though it still slightly connected with his head. Neo cheered her on from their side. "Come on, Rip!!! Keep up the attack!!! Don't let that dandy get the upper hand". His words of encouragement helped drove a fire in her heart. She went with another spin kick, aiming for his smug face. He blocked again, and this time pushing against her leg, trying to throw her off balance.

Ripley had run into this many times while training for kickboxing. She had trained to handle this, especially if it was just a shove off. The real danger was when they grabbed your leg. Ripley let the momentum, carry her leg, and she followed by going into a deep split. This put her in easy range of her favorite target. "Let's see if this dandy is also a soprano!! Ripley then sent an uppercut right into Troy's balls.

Ripley’s fist connected with devastating precision, her uppercut driving straight into Troy’s groin with a sickening thud. Troy let out a choked gasp, his eyes bulging as he crumpled to the mat, curling into a fetal position. His hands instinctively clutched his aching balls, his face twisted in agony.

“Ahhh! Ref, come on!” Troy groaned, glaring up at the official. “That’s gotta be illegal, right? That’s low blow territory!”

The ref merely shrugged, pointing to the LAW emblem on his uniform as if to say, You know the rules. Troy muttered under his breath, “Fucking perverts,” as he writhed on the mat, clearly not amused by the league’s infamous leniency.

From the corner, Nix shot to her feet, her jaw tightening as she watched Troy writhe in pain. “Oh, hell no,” she muttered under her breath, her fists clenching at her sides. Without hesitation, she vaulted over the ropes and charged into the ring, protective fury blazing in her eyes. Her boot swung toward Ripley’s smug face with pinpoint precision.

“Back off sister, only I’m allowed to touch him there.”

Ripley's split were beautiful and textbook. It surprised her opponent and left him open for her real attack. Her fist flew up and right into his weak balls. Troy collapsed instantly, holding his damaged family jewels. Ripley smirked as she got to her feet. "Oops sorry!! Hope you weren't planning on using those later!!". Ripley ignored the loudmouthed woman at her side. She was way too close to her opponents corner, something Neo was trying to yell at her, but she was busy with the weakened Troy.

Ripley grabbed him by the hair, but before she could begin to pick him up, she felt a foot connect with her face. Ripley fell to the side, kick flinging her to the side. A pissed off Nox standing over her. The ref, decided they should get in there at this point. She got in front of Nix and tried to push her back to her corner. Neo took this opportunity to jump down outside the ring and go over by Troy. He grabbed Troy's head and pulled it through the ropes. He then pulled Troy's neck down on the rope choking him."I think you would agree, Ripley has a sort of magic touch!!" He jokingly said to Troy.

Ripley got to her feet and saw Neo handling Troy so she went to help the ref kick Nix out of the ring and keep him distracted for longer. "Yeah get that cheater out of the ring!!! Wait your turn missy!!! In fact I think I should get a free kick against her!!! Hold her still ref and let me kick her in the face!!" . The ref looked incredulously at Ripley's crazy idea.

Troy thrashed against Neo’s grip, his face red as the rope dug into his neck. With a surge of desperation, he swung his arm wildly, his fist connecting with Neo’s jaw in a solid punch that sent his opponent stumbling back. Neo released him, clutching his face as Troy gasped for air, pulling his head back through the ropes. “Was that magical enough for you?” Troy rasped, coughing as he tried to regain his footing.

Meanwhile, the ref was shouting at Nix, her hands raised in a furious tirade as she tried to push her back toward her corner. The ref was trying to command Nix out of the ring, but Nix wasn’t having it. With a scowl, she shoved the ref aside, her eyes locked on Ripley. “Oh, you want to play dirty? Let’s see how you like it!”

In one swift motion, Nix moved forward, her boot driving straight into Ripley’s stomach with a sickening thud. Ripley let out a sharp cry, doubling over as she clutched her midsection, her face contorted in pain. Nix stood over her, her voice dripping with mockery. “How’s it feel, huh? Bet you didn’t see that coming!”

The crowd roared with a mix of cheers and gasps as Ripley crumpled to the mat. Troy, still wincing and holding himself, managed to stumble back onto his feet, his face pale but determined. He shot Nix a pained yet grateful glance as she stepped forward, slapping his shoulder hard.

"Tag," Nix said firmly, her voice cutting through the chaos. "Go sit down. I’ve got this."

Troy hesitated for a moment, his jaw clenched. "You sure?"

Nix’s eyes locked on Ripley, who was still clutching her stomach, her expression a mix of pain and fury. "Oh, I’m sure," Nix replied, her voice low and steely. "She messed with you—now she’s gonna deal with me."

Troy nodded, though it looked like every step back to the corner was a struggle. He leaned against the turnbuckle, catching his breath, but his eyes remained fixed on the action. Nix cracked her knuckles, her gaze never leaving Ripley as she watched her opponent writhe in pain.

Neo had Troy on the ropes, literally. The choke did seem to be working, but he didn't make it easy. He started to swing out his arms, punching wildly. One connected hard with Neo. Knocking him down and back. Troy was now free, though he needed a moment to catch his breath. Neo himself got to his hands and knees, recovering after the punch. He would slowly make his way back to their corner, in case Ripley needed him, as the current plan seemed to be deterring.

Inside the ring Ripley was still distracting the ref and Nix. It was going pretty well, until, Nix shoved the ref aside and kicked her in the gut. Ripley doubled over and stepped to the side. The ref became irrate. Even as Nix and Troy seemed to talk about tagging, the ref stepped in. She yelled at asking her what the fuck was that. She told Nix she is on a short leash and if there was any more infractions she would be disqualified.

The ref then allows Nix to tag in once her and Troy got back to their corner. This allowed Ripley time to recover and start trying to stumble back towards her corner. Neo looking worse for wear, was waiting in the corner, reaching out for her to try and tag him in.
