Greetings everyone. Effectively immediately, I would like to announce my indefinite hiatus/likely retirement from the League of Anime Wrestling. I've painfully wrestled (no pun intended) with this decision all week. This may sound silly, but it was one of the hardest decisions I've made in my life. Alberit, I have determined it is a very much necessary one. This is not at all how I wanted to do this. Up until very recently, I had no intention of stepping away this soon. And I always imagined that whenever I did eventually leave, I would give the community (namely my friends) a three to six month heads-up to try and tie up as many loose ends as I could. But life often takes you by surprise, and it is what it is.

The one thing prompting this is that I've been growing spiritually lately. And I have good reason to believe my activity here has come into conflict with certain aspects of my Christian faith. I've always kept it in mind and have made attempts to act accordingly. But I have definitely made compromises, taken risks, and chosen not take certain things into more serious consideration. I'm getting baptized today, and have determined fetish-charged roleplay is something I should personally leave behind. (For the record, minding the rules, I do not intent to spark any sort of religious discussion, just being transparent.)

On top of that, LAW has been a big part of my life for well over the past half decade. And during most of this time, I have been in college. Because I've been progressing through school during this time, LAW always felt like something I could afford to put a lot of energy into. But after graduating last year, I've been forced to reevaluate my priorities. It took me forever to get a steady post-college job. I'm grateful for it, and it has certainly helped to an extent. But it has yet to do enough to really get my family out of the runt we're in.

My father is badly ill and officially disabled, leaving pretty much all financial responsibilities to my mother and I. We've always been poor, and I need to really lock-in to do my part to improve our situation. And I fear it isn't wise for me to diminish my focus by continuing on in this hobby. There have been times where it has served as a low-key addiction. XD I've been here over five years. And while there have been moments when my activity has slowed, I don't think I've ever taken a meaningful and substantial break. And I really need to consider how I want my life to look like in the next five years. And I definitely don't want to be tied down with student loans for most of my life going forward. lol But I'm deeply sorry about all the threads and storylines I'm likely to leave unfinished/likely will not start.

On that note, I would like to announce that my face wrestlers, the Booty Empresses were originally planned to have a title reign as LAW's next tag team champions. The story was nearly done. And I was strongly considering at least trying to finish that up, even if I'd need to pass on the belts quickly afterwards. But my above-stated convictions have ultimately contradicted that.

The site admin and (more or less) current tag title holder @winner3 reached out to me a while back to ask if I wanted to start the Booty Empresses' title reign sooner, before said title story/championship match properly concluded. I opted not to, as I wanted to finish the match first and for the result of it to be a surprise. Back then, I didn't have any intentions of leaving anytime soon. And I was unaware of any fire winner may have been under regarding his title reign, which very well may have prompted me to just start my reign sooner. Given I'm well-aware his title reign has become a drama-fueled controversy now, I ask you to bear with him as he works out how to handle the tag title scene. My own decision was made very recently, and he had no way of knowing I wouldn't be around for him to fully pass the belts onto me by this point. My personal circumstances that lead to this outcome are not his fault.

The chances of me coming back to full on role-play sometime in the future are very small. I'll leave that possibility open just in case, but it's safe to operate on the assumption I won't return to being active on the site. That being said, I am still very much grateful for the time I spent here. I have learned a lot, improved my character making/writing/development skills, and met plenty of wonderful people! My OCs are still mine. They still mean a lot to me. And they are still canonically wrestling, forging bonds, and fostering rivalries with y'alls characters! I will likely take some time to myself soon to really focus on improving my life. But whenever I'm up to it, I will still be around on discord to chat about our characters, video games, anime, tv shows, spiritual stuff and the like. If by chance any of you consider me someone worth staying in touch with outside of just being a role-play partner, let me know!
