Karen Gale vs Serafina Kunisada - Prostyle Match

Yes, retreating to the corner had perhaps looked rather timid from Serafina's behalf, but the blue-clad wrestler did have a plan behind it. Especially after having gotten tossed into the middle of the ring it must had been obvious for everyone that Karen was holding the strength advantage here, and Sera would be foolish to try testing herself against the Kiwi on that front anymore. She needed some space between them instead... Space to build herself some momentum in too!

Unfortunately though, Karen did not seem particularly keen on providing that space for La Liana Azul. Before it would have yet been optimal for Sera's plans, she could hear the New Zealander's protesting words, and saw her starting to charge towards her.

Nevertheless, Sera needed to act on her plans, even if she had to do so more hastily than desirable. The ninja suddenly lunged forward, planting her hands onto the mat... But she kept on the momentum going, and continued looping her body forward, and arching her legs backwards, hoping to meet Karen's charge foot-first... Ideally, getting to smack her boots acrobatically into the yellow-clad girl's midsection!

Kyoko Akan would have loved to see this kind of targeting of the belly anyway... Right?

Momentum. That was the main thing on Karen's mind: keep moving, keep attacking. Keep putting Liana on the defensive. Keep her from getting attacks of her own in. Keep dictating the flow of the match on your terms. This, at least, was what Karen was thinking as she thundered towards Liana, arm raised, prepared to deliver the clothesline from hell.

Instead of running away or dodging, Liana surged forward to meet Karen. The Maori gave a savage grin as she charged, appreciating that this Mexican girl did have some guts after all. That was until Liana elegantly cartwheeled forwards...

...and drove both her boots into Karen's midsection.

"OOOOOFFF!" Karen's body caved inwards from the blow, and she collapsed into her back with a crash. Breathing hard, she lay on her back for a few seconds to catch her breath, while around her, the audience cheered Liana's timely counter attack...

Sera had been left with less time to execute her flashy move than she would have desired, but her experience with using such ninja-like moves still turned out to pay off! Her timing proved to be at least near-perfect, with her boots smacking squarely and hard against the charging Maori's midsection! And while the blue-clad girl was jostled by the impact too, she managed rather acrobatically to still land on her two feet, while gaining a view on the downed Karen as well.

Some satisfaction had now crept onto Serafina's face, but she had already been shown very well by the strength contest that this was far from enough just yet. She absolutely had to take the momentum, and keep it on her side from now! Wanting to waste no time, or risk the Kiwi managing to get up any time soon, Sera quickly jumped up, and tried to land her leg on top of Karen's already vulnerable midsection with a Leg Drop!

If La Liana Azul was successful with her attack, she already had further plans thought out... She really needed to start weakening Karen after all. Expecting her Maori opponent to curl up sideways, trying to protect her belly from further punishment on the mat, the blue-clad ninja was ready to then snatch the white-haired wrestler into a Cobra Clutch!

Serafina's counter attack had indeed been almost perfectly timed, hammering Karen in the midsection and sending the Maori girl crashing onto her back. She took a few seconds to catch her breath, inwardly embarrassed at having been caught flat footed by such an easy counter attack, but also more just generally annoyed that Serafina was able to hit as hard as she could. The nimble ninja wasn't all just looks and graceful elegance, after all.

Grimacing, Karen forced one eye open...just in time to see Serfaina leaping at her, leg-first...

Karen gagged as the leg drop slammed across her midsection, sending her rolling sideways and coughing hard. Serafina was not intending to give her any respite, though, and Karen soon felt her arm being grabbed and one of Serafina's arms extending around her throat in a cobra clutch! The Maori girl gagged, and pawed at Serafina's arm as her air was cut off. Gingerly, she began the process of trying to wheel the two of them closer, ever closer, to the ropes...

Serafina felt grateful for the element of surprise that must had aided the success of her counter-attack, and even ensured such a blow having gotten delivered that Karen was left reeling for quite some time before even opening her eye... And even that was only to witness La Liana Azul coming full force down on her once again, this time with a Leg Drop! It was fully intentional, and had solid logic behind it... The ninja had already felt her opponent's strength, and what could have been a better way to deal with that, than to try repeatedly targeting and weakening the Maori's core?

Well, there was another thing too. Exhausting the Kiwi as well! And as Sera's leg drop worked beautifully, the yellow-clad girl was left all vulnerable for getting trapped in the Cobra Clutch. The silent ninja applied the hold tight, hoping that she could silence her opponent too... But Karen once again proved her strength, and managed to start wheeling the two closer to the ropes.

For now, Sera was unable to stop Karen's progress... But frankly, did she even need to? The Mexican-Japanese girl wasn't living under delusion that this hold could seal the deal to her favor. If anything, its purpose was to pay back what Karen had done to her in the strength contest... Slowly consume the strength and endurance of her opponent, so that by the time she would finally reach the ropes, the Maori could be even easier pickings for the blue-clad ninja!

"Ggghhkk....ffffffhhhhggkkk..."

More than a few things were painfully obvious by this point. The first was that Serafina was quite skilled, easily having the agility and expertise to make up for any lack of brawn on her part. The second was that she knew her holds: right now, Karen could barely breathe, as the luchadora ninja now had her air flow neatly cut off. And the worst of all, Serafina was so slight and slender that Karen could barely throw an elbow back at her.

But Karen was stronger; THAT still counted for something, and it allowed Karen to drag the both of them to the ropes. Slowly, painfully, but finally, Karen snagged the bottom rope. In an instant, the ref ordered Serafina to break: the moment the ninja released her, Karen would gasp hungrily for air, huffing even as she tried to grab the middle rope to pull herself up...

While the hold itself wasn't anything all that fancy, Serafina got great pleasure from hearing and witnessing all of Karen's struggles with getting the two combatants closer to the ropes. It really tasted like payback from the strength contest earlier... And also of something that could improve her fortunes later on in this match! The latin ninja tried to make Karen's progress towards the ropes as difficult as she could... All within the realms of the rules, of course!

It was still inevitable that the New Zealander would eventually get there, and soon enough, she managed to snag the bottom rope. And as respect to the rules dictated, Serafina wasted no time with releasing her Cobra Clutch as soon as the referee told her so, allowing Karen's audible gasps for air to commence. But as evident as her lack of oxygen was, the blue-clad ninja was all the more confident that she had a good opportunity to launch another strike at her Maori foe...

Sera proceeded to get swiftly back up, and launched herself towards the opposite ropes. Springboarding off of them, she headed back towards Karen... And planned to launch a Dropkick straight at her! Sera's target was going to be where the Maori's head had been when she left her, but depending on her progress with getting back up, any other body part would do for La Liana Azul to take the impact as well!

Hopefully, at least some part of Karen would?

God damn. Despite the willowy, more slender stature of the Mexican, Serafina had been able to lock in the cobra clutch tightly, really ramping up the pain as Karen had been forced to crawl to the ropes. She had finally managed to grab the lower ropes, thankfully: breathing hard, Karen began to haul herself up, grabbing the middle rope to get up to her feet.

She heard running behind her, and turned just in time to receive a hard drop kick from Serafina that hammered into her side! "AAARGH!" she grunted, dropping down from the impact...narrowly holding onto the middle rope with one hand to keep herself upright, but it didn't change the fact that she was now breathing hard and hurting from Serafina's high flying attack...

It was certainly a good sign for Serafina that Karen seemed to be taking some time with getting back up again, at least for two reasons. Firstly, it had to indicate that Sera's Cobra Clutch had been effective indeed, leaving the Maori weakened and gasping for air... Just as La Liana Azul had intended her to. Good payback for the strength contest earlier! But the second reason was the fact that a slow Karen meant that she was likely to still be in the harm's way when Sera launched her Dropkick at her... And sure enough, the ninja's boots did indeed find the New Zealander's sides, delivering some further punishment for the stronger Maori!

As Serafina recovered from her attack back to her two feet, she could see Karen holding herself upwards only aided by a tight grasp onto the middle rope, looking like there wasn't much in the way of her getting to eat the canvas. The sight was in fact just too tasty for the agile ninja not to try downing her opponent completely... Thus, it was time to display some agility again. Lunging forward at Karen, La Liana Azul planted her hands onto the mat, and cartwheeled her body forward again, this time hoping to land her thighs onto the Maori's shoulders... And once she would get to hear and feel the smack of her legs landing against them, the Latin ninja would try to quickly squeeze her thighs around the yellow-clad girl's head, and throw her forward into the canvas with a Headscissors Takedown!

"Eugh...god...dammit..." Karen hissed through clenched teeth as she clung on to the bottom rope. The match was barely a minute old, and Serafina was absolutely dominating her. The agile ninja was just too bloody fast, and always seemed to know to strike Karen in such a way that she was left floundering. Gritting her teeth, she grabbed the rope with both hands and began to haul herself up...

....and felt the Mexican landing on her shoulders, her thighs suddenly clamping around her head. "WHUUHH--?!"

And then Karen went flying, head over heels, to slam hard onto the mat! The impact caused her to cry out before crumpling into a broken heap on her back, breathing hard; around them, the crowd went wild at the success of Serafina's high-flying moves!
