Silver Like a Spider's Web: Keiko Yamamura vs Emelie de Toussaint

Emelie felt such sweet satisfaction as her knee collided with Keiko's stomach, knocking the wind out of her foe and leaving her to gasp and gag from the impact. The white-haired Frenchwoman could see that her opponent was ailing, recoiling from the surprisingly damaging strike as Emelie hopped on her feet, using this chance to rest while feigning confidence and assuredness, goading Keiko to come at her once again...like a mentor egging on their pupil, only to wind up embarrassing them once more to teach them a 'lesson' of sorts...although the French judoka, who was still trying to make sense of her conflicting feelings, was dead set on teaching only one lesson to Keiko...

So, when the Lynx came rushing in mere seconds later, Emelie prepared herself, but she wasn't expecting such a feral kind of maneuver from Keiko, who dropped down far lower than Emelie anticipated, sweeping her off her feet and bringing the Frenchwoman down to her level...perhaps a blessing, or a potential curse in disguise...for now, the two were on even foot, or lackthere of-...and Emelie immediately tried to hold a guarding position, narrowing her icy gaze at the Lynx...as if to say-


Try it. I dare you...

Keiko was determined to not just win this match now, but to absolutely humble the little girl that dared to insult and belittle her so brashly before. Gritting her teeth and rushing in Keiko had managed to drop down, swinging her leg around to successfully knock her opponent's legs out from under her and bring her down to the mat!

As she did so though Keiko would sit up and catch the gaze in Emelie's eye, the mocking, challenging gaze that practically dared Keiko to try and challenge her there. Growling in indignant fury at this perceived slight Keiko would dart in, eager to take this challenge as she tried to throw her legs in front of and around her opponent's head and neck, rolling to the side and trying to grab Emelie's head to try and lock in a triangle choke hold!

A Triangle Choke...a classic move, definitely one found in the octagon more often than not. Although it was a submission hold that had enough methods to escape from. It would prove trivial for someone of Emelie's skill level, but made even less viable by the 'sport' they were fighting in. In a wrestling match, submission or knockout weren't the only ways of winning...in fact, often times they weren't the primary way matches were decided. Pinfalls, Keiko...pinfalls...and so, the experienced French judoka would roll around to counteract Keiko's hold, stall her for just a moment. Then, when that was over, Emelie would feign a struggle as if to say that Keiko had the upper hand...but it would be a cold lie as she was subtly shifting herself into position to roll Keiko up.

However, in a moment of realization, Emelie could see that burning look in Keiko's eyes, and for a split second, she felt genuine unease as the pressure increased, the tightness around her head and neck was tightening further and further. The Silver Lynx was putting EVERYTHING into this in order to dismantle the Frenchwoman altogether. It was vexing, truly unnerving...yet kind of admirable at the same time. Still, Emelie wouldn't allow herself to falter, pressing her feet to the mat and going for a surprise pin attempt on the woman, placing her shoulders on the mat just enough for it to count!!!

Keiko growled softly in barely contained fury as she pulled her hold tighter and tighter on Emelie, trying to make the silver haired girl regret the insulting words she had hurled earlier in the bout and going by the look of genuine panic that finally entered her eyes, Keiko was on her way to doing just that. Smirking a bit in satisfaction Keiko would look focused on what Emelie was doing until it was too late and she felt her shoulders on the mat! 'Wait, what?!' Keiko thought to herself, the ref was already dropping down and counting one, then two...

Before it could get any further Keiko would undo her legs and kick Emelie away while rolling backwards to save herself in this match up. If able Keiko would try and get her feet under her before popping up to her feet, eyes training on Emelie's form and crouching slightly, knowing that she couldn't allow the judoka to get a moment to herself to regain her balance. Once she was sure the girl was starting to rise then Keiko would rush towards her, extending her leg out as she neared, trying to drive her knee directly into the shorter girl's head with a running knee strike!

Emelie escaped, but it was one thing after another as Keiko came flying in moments later, truly living up to her moniker as she chased Emelie down with a ferocious strike aimed right for the Frenchwoman's head, essentially aiming to take it clean off like a guillotine...although Emelie was certain that the resulting impact would be much more like a bullet train running over a watermelon, an outcome she didn't want to be on the receiving end of. And so, with barely a second to spare, she threw up her guard, blocking the hit and cushioning her head with her arms, the impact sending her across the ring, rolling over before shifting the momentum to her favor in order to land back on her knees, somewhat stabilizing herself before she got too dizzy. However, the hit was still aching as she felt the pain reverberate through her bones.

"Kh-...seems your namesake is apt...rushing at me like some unhinged beast-...learn some control...and have some shame-..." Emelie chided, letting out a deep sigh as she shook her arm, still feeling the intense stinging sensation after blocking Keiko's wild Running Knee attempt. GOD, did it hurt like hell-...but she couldn't let the Lynx know that she was getting close to injuring her. Emelie tried to hide it for as long as she could, knowing that if she allowed Keiko to smell blood in the water, it might not turn out so well for her. Yet at the same time, Emelie was starting to feel more than just a tinge of remorse in the back of her mind. She wasn't as venomous or conniving as her mentor, Rose Gold. She wasn't quite ready for this prolonged siege of mental warfare...or maybe she was, and it was simply how Keiko reacted that caused her to waver. Seeing the way it hurt her so deeply, it was a tad unsettling. That quiet fury was becoming far more pronounced, but Emelie couldn't afford to let this be the cause of her downfall.

"If you're done with your tantrum..." She said, trying to push those thoughts to the back of her mind. She got her stance and practically invited Keiko to come face her once again.

Rushing in towards her opponent when the girl had barely escaped her prior attack Keiko was determined to not let her get her bearings against her, like a true hunter targeting its prey until it lost the will to fight and was finally brought down. Lashing out with her knee for a wild attack she was only partially successful in contact, driving her knee into the woman's arms and forcing her backwards in response but not doing much else besides that. "Damn." Keiko hissed under her breath, fists clenched as she glared at her opponent, unaware of the tumultuous feelings stirring within except for one tell. 'Is that...regret?' Keiko thought to herself, only for Emelie to speak again, calling her a beast who needed to learn control and shame which immediately made burning red blare across her vision and as Emelie got back into a stance Keiko wasted no time! "RAHHHHH!" Keiko actually roared, rushing at Emelie, fist pulled back before unleashing it as fast and furiously as possible to try and take her opponent down with a swift and powerful haymaker to the face!

The white-haired judoka could see the red in her opponent's eyes, actively seeing her rage swell in real time as the Silver Lynx was driven to the brink of madness with how angry she was becoming...Emelie cursed herself and her big mouth, getting herself into more trouble than she could potentially handle, as her words infected Keiko with a fiery temper. Keiko's rage led her to fly off the handle, unbound by any thoughts of self-restraint. The Frenchwoman's eyes widened as she stepped back, trying to respond to Keiko's sudden and swift haymaker by ducking down low and trying to trip her up with a Drop Toe Hold, which she'd then attempt to follow up with a Rear Naked Choke, latching herself onto the Japanese woman's back, coiling around her and trying to restrain her, forcing her to calm herself down lest she tire herself out and waste all that energy of hers.

Keiko was infuriated by her opponent and moved in quickly, trying to move faster than what her opponent could react to with a haymaker to disorient and take the smaller girl off her feet! Unfortunately however as Keiko made her move Emelie was able to react, barely enough to avoid the blow and drop Keiko down to the mat as well with a drop toe hold! 'Shit!' Keiko thought, immediately trying to sit up only for her opponent's weight to drop down on her back and wrap her up in a tight rear naked choke! "Ngh!" Keiko gasped out in a breathless groan of pain as her throat was squeezed, but she refused to give up! Twisting to one side she would try and make things to where her opponent's back was on the mat and, hopefully before Emelie could snap her legs around her Keiko would kick up, trying to throw her legs over her to try and roll back, over Emelie and forcing the girl's shoulders to the mat as a count pin!

Emelie cursed her small body, not only for being frail but for being so soft and light. It made it easy to maneuver around, sure, but it also made it that much easier for her enemies to throw her around. Hell, even just before this, Keiko's hits really drove her back...it was all a nuisance, but again, Emelie couldn't bring herself to dislike Keiko. She did this to herself...Pushing forward, the Frenchwoman would shift out from under Keiko's body, releasing the chokehold at the last second as she slipped free, placing her feet onto the side of Keiko's hips and shoving her away to put some space between them, standing up to her feet with a bit of a ragged look in her eyes. These two had been going at each other in a back-and-forth frenzy. It was a weird, physically demanding, frantically-paced game of chess, and now the board was reset once more, but Emelie was looking a little worse for wear due to Keiko's hits...even the glancing blows...draining her stamina and wearing her down. However, she could see that the Lynx was quite pacing herself, either, what with all her vengeful lunges and wrathful flurries. Keiko was expending herself just to try and rip Emelie to shreds...again, a tinge of remorse lingering in the back of the Frenchwoman's mind that she had to shove down into a pit so she could focus.

Keiko panted softly as she got back up to her feet, feeling a bit winded and in pain for sure. Still as she looked across the ring at Emelie it was clear that she was nearing her stamina limit too. 'Good... then in that case, if I keep charging and forcing her to expend energy.... then maybe that will finally overwhelm her and end this.' Keiko thought to herself as she steeled herself for a moment before charging forward once again. Ducking low at fist Keiko would try and jut her fist out for a quick flurry of jabs to Emelie's gut before, if successful arching up while swinging her fists out to go for a uppercut to Emelie's jaw, hoping that the speed and ferocity of the attack would overwhelm her the French beauty!
