Astrid Ostberg vs. Katsuragi Tanaka [D]

While Astrid would accept Katsuragi's admission of guilt, that wasn't going to slow her down. Nothing would keep her from bringing her full force, to the best of her abilities, to the forefront at every match, always striving higher and giving it her all. Not even if she respected her opponent would she deign to go easy on them - as a matter of fact, Astrid considered it a sign of respect to be able to stand up to her when she wasn't holding back.

The blow landed with a smack, and Katsuragi was sent stumbling back. Although Katsuragi was putting a hand up in front of her, Astrid was undeterred. She knew a thing or two about defensive positions, and she could tell that the Japanese girl wasn't putting much force behind this one. It'd be easy enough to break. Astrid reached forward to grab said arm by the wrist, where she would push back at it, going to force it backward over Katsuragi's shoulder. After that, she would bring her knee upward to make impact with her opponent's stomach.

Katsuragi didn't expect her foe to go easy on her of course, as neither was she holding back anything. But despite trying to prepare Astrid got the drop on her this time. After her first hit, Katsuragi already could only maintain a weak defense as the hit stunned her well. Astrid easily spotted the weakness and without much trouble, she pushed away Katsuragi's arm before going for another attack this time thrusting her knee into the Japanese fighter's stomach. "Ugh." Katsuragi grunted once more, doubling down as her hands held her hurt body. Astrid was a hard hitter and her assault wasn't giving Katsuragi the time to recover.

However, if Astrid gave her some time before hitting again, Katsuragi would just kick off from the ground and charge right into Astrid, with her head still held low. It wasn't the most strategic move but Katsuagi hoped it may just be enough to get a pause from the attacks.

Sure enough, Astrid's blow landed solidly, forcing Katsuragi to double over forward as she clutched her gut. Seeing the fight leaving her opponent, Astrid took a step back to wipe her brow and get herself psyched up for the next round, standing tall over Katsuragi with her hands proudly on her hips.

But Katsuragi was tougher than that, as Astrid would soon find out, as before she could react the Japanese girl hurled herself towards her with her head held low, connecting a headbutt into her stomach. Astrid let out a cry of pain as she was knocked backward off her feet, landing on the mat with enough force from her impact to shake the canvas.

Katsuragi took some bad hits and she would blindly rush forward just to try and break her opponent's momentum. Her attack worked better than expected as her head hit right into Astrid's stomach, and the impact brought the girl down to the mat, making her land with a loud thud. Katsuragi however just kept going forward after the impact, eventually reaching the ropes and grabbing on to finally stand up tall. She quickly glanced behind only to see Astrid on the ground.

This was no time to stop as Katsuragi immediately knew, but instead of charging back at the girl, she quickly climbed up to the nearest turnbuckle and waited for Astrid to start climbing to her feet. As soon as she did Katsuragi would jump off, aiming to hit Astrid in the head with both her feet in a powerful dropkick.

From where she had ended up on the mat, Astrid watched as Katsuragi passed over her, needing to duck down for a second to let her fellow blonde pass by overhead, undeterred by the fact the Norwegian had landed in her way. It was clear there was no stopping her.

Astrid would be getting back to her feet just in time to see Katsuragi climb up to the top rope, and there she froze, locking her gaze on the girl as she narrowed her brow in determination. She knew that Katsuragi would be plotting something - and after what she had suffered thus far, she could be pretty sure she didn't want to stick around to find out what it was. But Astrid had managed to catch her breath by then in the time Katsuragi took to prepare her attack, and she was ready. As the Japanese girl sprung forward, Astrid would sommersault towards the ropes, aiming to time it right so that she would pass by at just the right moment to roll under Katsuragi and leave her to collide with the mat.

Katsuragi jumped off trying to hit her foe with a dropkick. Astrid, however, was faster to recover than she anticipated and as Katsuragi flew towards her the girl ducked and somersaulted right underneath her. It was too late for Katsuragi to do anything other than put her hands out towards the mat, lessening the impact a tiny bit. She crashed down hard, grunting in pain.

It would take a bit for Katsuragi to recover from the fell, as she landed on her stomach, though she would quickly place her palms on the mat working to push herself up, but her body only complied slowly, as the pain made her lose her strength for the moment. "Ugh." She grunted as she tried to get back in the fight.

Astrid picked herself up, pulling herself to her feet with the ropes as she turned to look back at Katsuragi, who was reeling from the force of impact she hit the mat with. The Norwegian girl smirked as she shook out her hands while she stepped forward to close the distance between them. Her stamina had held out, and she had been able to get right back into the thick of things quickly enough to gain the momentum once again.

"Going somewhere?" Astrid taunted as she moved towards Katsuragi with a grin. While her opponent was struggling to pick herself up, Astrid would grab her around the waist and attempt to throw her backwards and over her head for a German suplex.

Katsuragi took a bad fall and struggled to get back on her feet, earning a taunt fro Astrid as the wrestler moved behind her. Instead of replying Katsuragi worked to overcome the pain and push herself up but she was still too slow. Astrid got behind her, wrapping her arms around Katsuragi's waist and then she lifted the Japanese fighter off the ground and threw her above her head in a German suplex.

"Ah!" Katsuragi yelled out in pain as she hit the mat hard once more, before even getting a chance to recover. There was no way she could stand up quickly, but she couldn't let Astrid get even more of a lead on her so Katsuragi would attempt to roll away, clutching her stomach, to hopefully escape under the rope and get some extra time outside the ring to recover, far enough from Astrid's reach.

As Katsuragi made contact with the ground, Astrid started to advance on her, intent to push her advantage while the girl was down. She reached out to grab her, but Katsuragi proved too quick for her, and her arms only grasped the air. She went rolling out of the ring, disappearing under the bottom rope.

Needless to say, the gesture confused Astrid, who moved over to the side of the ring to look out at Katsuragi. "What are you doing?" she asked. With how things had gone, she didn't know if Katsuragi was planning some sort of counterattack, or attempting an escape, or what. But she knew she had to be on guard.

Meanwhile, with Katsuragi out of the ring, the ref girl started a count of ten. "One!"

After taking a harsh hit, Katsuragi knew she couldn't stand up to Astrid immediately so she fled, for now, rolling out of the ring. She managed to escape Astrid by little and landed on the hard floor with a small grunt. She quickly rolled to her back so she could see if Astrid tried to attack, but it seemed like her opponent stayed inside, for now, giving Katsuragi a much-needed breather. “I couldn’t let you follow up after that.” She would say back panting. Her eyes would be fixed on the Norwegian wrestler. If Astrid stood her ground Katsuragi would stay on her back for a few more counts, but if the girl decided to attack, Katsuragi would either dodge by rolling further or stand up if she had the time.
