Marzia stood behind the entrance ramp, taking in a deep breath as she prepared herself for her next match. She hadn't been having much luck with them lately, but she would keep at it regardless. She knew that this wouldn't last forever, and the only way for her to get ahead was to keep going and hope for the best. One of these days, she told herself as she clenched her fists at her sides. One of these days things would work out.
Apparently her opponent this time was going to be a fairly new arrival herself, but she had also heard rumors that she had had a successful career in another promotion. Marzia, at least, had never heard of her. But hopefully she'd be around to help show her the ropes - and if she wasn't that experienced, Marzia would at least have better odds. The Italian girl gulped, thinking to herself. She hoped that she wasn't
that desperate.
"And coming first to the ring, from Rome, Italy! MARZIA SERVELLI!"
As the announcer called her name, Marzia made her way out onto the ramp, heading down to the ring. From either side of her she heard cheers, as whatever fans she had gained in her previous matches turned out to root for her. She just hoped that she wouldn't let them down. Tightening her fists, Marzia headed down to the ring, where, taking a deep breath, she climbed up the ring apron and looked around her at the crowds she drew. A faint blush came to her face as she began to consider the magnitude of this sight, and how she actually had
fans, that people were interested in watching her. She had to put that thought out of her mind, though. If she worried too much about what people thought of her, then she wouldn't be at the top of her game. She sucked in a breath, coming to her corner and waiting for her scheduled opponent to show up.
