The rush of wind could be felt clearly on her perspiration coated skin, as the blonde took off in Blaise's direction, intent on adding further to his woes. Her attacks had been focused on caving in the man's abdominals in the last few minutes and Elena did find some joy there as Blaise's abs bore an unrelenting assault head-on, which resulted in the expanse being mottled in a shade of crimson. This punt would be the the topping of course served to the man's stomach and should it meet the target the way it was intended to, Blaise was going to really feel it.

The people watched on with bated breath, half an idea of what could be the outcome. Blaise's mouth letting out a choked, throaty cry was definitely at the top of their list of possibilities. Elena's long, purposeful strides only sought to reinforce their beliefs about this and that's why they all were utterly gobsmacked when...

Elena hit the mat, the daylights knocked out of her.

"Fuuuoohhh!!" Elena's feet felt like jelly, as if they suddenly looked incapable of balancing her body. Blaise had managed to dodge her kick and acrobatically sting an unguarded Elena with a boot of his own, rendering the woman stunned!

Her legs gave up and she fell on her butt but didn't completely hit the mat, with the cables preventing the fall. Her ears started to ring and temples pounded. The pulse could be felt throbbing around the head and her eyes looked dazed, glassy, staring at nothing in particular and they could only relay the images to the brain in double,triple vision.

She tried to move her limbs, but they appeared to have been sapped of energy, like the kick to her head had had shut her whole body down, similar to the collapse of a main power grid. But her arm did extend upwards to cradle the head while she remained leaning against the cables in a seated posture, breathing irregular and brain completely rattled...

The ring shudders as not one, but two bodies impact the mat. Blaise's heavy frame lands on hands and knees, awkward and strained as he tries to recover from the beating he'd endured. The kick against the side of her head was so satisfying, though. She had well and truly deserved that impact for the brutality she'd given him. But he wasn't done yet. He couldn't be. He needed to press every advantage he could, and that meant gathering himself up to his feet again.

With one arm looping his middle, he turns to see Elena resting dazedly against the ropes on her rear. Without even thinking about it, impulse and intuition takes over. He rushes to the far side of the ring, pivoting on heel to stretch the cables against his muscular back, then shoots forward again. Legs pump with every loping stride, eyes burning with determination and intent. And suddenly, he's in the air, curled into a tight ball of kinetic energy. He starts to drop to the mat, but his legs thrust out at the last moment, aiming the blast his heels against her chest between the bottom and middle ropes. Whether that forcefully drives her out of the ring between them or she bounces with the ropes and arguably drives her chest harder into the kick, he can't predict. Nor could he imagine which fate would be worse.

Either way, Blaise is hitting the mat on his back again, panting.

The world around the blonde appeared bleak, all the colours dimmed and drained out, to show shadows and a plain, austere backdrop of the dome, the collecitve noise of which was deafening, but her ears, still ringing managed to drown almost all of it out, letting in mere whispers. Everything seemed to move in a slow-motion, the movement of her hand to clutch her throbbing head, the activity of the frenzied mob when she craned her head up, the comprehension of voices inside her brain after being filtered through the auditory canals.

She squinted to try and clear the fog, blinking the eyes rapidly for equal measure, to see a slihouette in the air,—lean, lithe, and hovering dangerously close to her own vulnerable body. Her eyes widened, slowly and as did her mouth, seeing it get nearer with each passing second.

"OWW!!!...Ghkkkk...." Elena's throat got constricted, her cry curbed by the spittle clumped in the passage, neither able to fly out, not stay in.

The feet drove right into her chest, the shock of which immediately rippling throughout her torso and shoved the upper-body out of the ring, hanging listlessly, while the remaining anatomy stayed inside.

Elena tried to breathe, but her lungs wouldn't cooperate, the diaphram not willing to expand or contract to accomodate the air, and when she did try to force it, a sharp pang from inside the chest left, an imaginary glass shard, saw her spasm which was made all the worse by the hung torso being pulled down by gravity. Right now, the blonde was in a LOT of trouble, her opponent having fought back in style and propped himself in the driver's seat.

But that was the last thing on her mind at present. She was trying her best to get her respiratory organs to function in normalcy again, which was feeling like a distant dream. What she wouldn't do to feel oxygen rushing into her lungs without a hitch....
