Something neither wrestler expected was commendation for their actions and yet- Bill and Kasey had found themselves on multiple occasions booked to tag with one another; and in this case it was a handicap match! Since their first encounter where Bill was able to intervene on Kasey's behalf and save the man's confidence, the two assumed that such a... exposing display would not exactly endear them.
And yet; here the two were just behind the curtain, watching their opponent make Her way to the ring seemingly oblivious to the fate that awaited Her. With their arms crossed the two simply watched on the monitor as She clambered into the ring; not a single word spoken between the two men until seconds before they were due to make their entrance, Kasey piped up.
"We should come up with a name. Since we're a team now, right?"
Bill gave no reply for a good few seconds, almost seeming like He was intentionally ignoring His partner.
"...Well? Cmon big guy, I mean they seem to like what we do; maybe it's time we-"
"I wanna see you take Her alone."
Kasey glared as if he didn't understand right away what was said; were the two men not on the same wavelength?
"I... What? Um, didn't they book us to-"
"I'll be right there. But you gotta learn sometime to actually defend yourself. If you want to be a team then there's expectations for how you perform."
Kasey's brow furrowed; what kind of pep talk was this supposed to be? This wasn't exactly what Kasey had in mind when He prepared for this evening; what kind of partner is seemingly so willing to throw Him under the bus like this?
"Bill, I don't know what you think y-"
"That's our queue."
Bill strode forward without acknowledging His partner as their entrance music began to play; Kasey standing in disbelief for a few seconds before coming to His senses and realizing He would need to follow. A silent curse made to Himself was all He had time for as the lights of the arena blared upon the pair...
"MAKING THEIR WAY TO THE RING; THE TEAM OF BILL 'THE CRUSHER' AND KASEY CRASS!!!"
Despite His reservations to Bill's abrupt order; Kasey came out with His usual exuberantly dripping facade of confidence. Donned in His dark and rather minimal attire He allowed His suave glare and body language to make it clear He was not here for a fight; but rather here to win.
Bill on the other hand wore a matching set of colors but remained as usual even more exposed than His partner. Opting for what could be considered the "Bare minimum" He strode out with powerful steps and a deterministic looking attitude- Almost robotic in nature.
The pair proceeded down the ramp and flanked both sides of the ringside corner posts; Bill taking the stairs while Kasey hopped the apron and leaned uncaringly on the ropes, glancing at the audience around them before lazily leaning underneath to set foot in the ring. Once in the ring He couldn't help but notice Bill waiting at the corner rope even though this was a No-DQ match; meaning there were no tag-in's necessary.
"Um, you weren't serious about that were you?"
"I was. You show me what you can do in here when im not fighting all your battles for you."
Ouch. Kasey wasn't sure where this attitude came from but it certainly dampened His mood for what He expected to be another fun squash... But Bill wasn't exactly one to argue with so it might as well be time to finally acknowledge Her and-
"Oh shit."
Despite what She might have thought seeing the two of them entering the ring; Kasey could guarantee the worry He felt knowing He'd have to take Her on alone was comparable. She was certainly no slouch, adorning an amazing physique and clearly experienced with some kind of martial arts capabilities, Kasey wasn't sure what exactly He would be expected to
do against a Woman like Her.
Kasey inched close to the corner where Bill stood as the bellkeeper was about to call the start to the match, a worried expression and meagre fighting stance applied as He tried to not let His nervousness show through.
Considering how much of a wreck He must have looked like; perhaps Bill had a point.
*DING DING!*
