Duel of the Proteges: Ivy Aster vs Niko Tomiji

Tiki stood up as soon as it was officially over. Her eyes immediately went to the stage entrances, fully prepared to never be let on a live feed again if the paramedics weren't rushing out as soon as Niko's victory was confirmed. Thankfully for Tiki's future prospects as a commentator, the medic's need was obvious enough for long enough that they had been stationed right out of few for when the moment came.

Niko gave the crowd one last money shot of her ass as she gave Ivy a sendoff. But the Brit, conscious by only the slimmest margin and completely out of it, had no meaningful response or contribution to make. Ivy genuinely was going to have no idea that she owed Niko a POW session once she was cognizant again in all likelihood. Hell, most of the second half of the match was probably going to lost to the Middleweight.

Once Ivy was out of the ring, Tiki came in, still continuing her duty as tonight's showrunner. "YOUR WINNER, TAKING THE MATCH BY A SCORE OF 2-1 AFTER A VICIOUS COMEBACK EFFORT; THE SWEET DREAM: NIKO TOMIJI!" The crowd was absolutely raucous. A match extreme in both its eroticism and its brutality, it was such a spectacle that no finale would have been enough to keep the crowd from wanting more.

"So Niko, if you don't mind a post-match interview," said Tiki. "First thoughts now that it's over and won?"

Niko stood proudly as Ivy was slowly carted out of the ring and up the entrance ramp to be tended too. Granted it wasn't as if she was necessarily proud of what she did to her, but she was very much happy that she won, basically cementing herself as Tiki's best student in the process. Speaking of the woman would soon enter the ring along with Niko, properly announcing her as the winner in the process, to which Niko would pose proudly as she did so.

Though it seemed that Tiki wanted to give her a little post match interview as well to which Niko had no objection too at all. "Well you did a heck of a job teaching Ivy how to make the most of her abilities... but it wasn't enough to keep me down!" Niko said, the second part being mostly for the crowd before she turned back to Tiki. "Though uh... we really need to get her to start accepting her limits better hehe." Niko said with a soft chuckle.

Tiki couldn't help but nervously lower her head when Niko brought up Ivy's decision making. "As I mentioned before, I genuinely believe that was a concussion talking more than Ivy proper," she said. "That arrogant self-destructiveness ran completely counter to everything I consider as my knowledge about her. When Ivy recovers, if she says that she has no recollection of making a POW wager, odds are she'll mean it. She won't just be saying that to try to weasel out." Not that Tiki was expecting that to matter much to Niko, but that was neither here nor there.

"Next question: How'd you pull off the comeback?" Tiki asked. "I don't think anyone can say that you weren't brutally outclassed in the first round, and the second began as more of the first. Yet you completely reversed the course of the match. What do you consider as your key to climbing out of such a deep hole to victory?"

Tiki would listen intently to Niko's answer before continuing, "Alright, one more before I let you go to celebrate. Ivy had been undefeated in LAW before this match, and is widely regarded as a high ranking Middleweight wrestler. Would you say that Ivy Aster is now the signature win of your wrestling resume? And do you think that this win will finally wash away the last of those who cling to your old reputation as a jobber?"

Niko nodded along to what Tiki said about Ivy. "Yeah no worries. I probably won't even be all that bad with her once she does, so its all good Tiki." Niko said with a smile and a nod before Tiki asked her next question about bouncing back from the first round.

"hehe, it was tough I wont lie. Ivy really went hard that first round but it just motivated me to tough it out the next round until she opened herself up. That little opening was all I needed to unleash hell on her and take the win!" Niko said cheerily with a pump of her fist.

"So if I had to say my endurance was definitely the key to winning this match. If I had let myself give in any sooner than I'd never have won. But that didn't happen here." Niko said confidently before listening to Tiki's last question and smiling a bit softer in response.

"Well... I think there will always be people who look at me like that.. but now I can point out this match as a counter, and show just how much of a badass I can be and how much hell I can unleash on someone who's asking for it!" Niko said with a grin before turning and posing for the crowd and then turning back to Tiki.

"But who knows... If I was to beat you in a proper rematch, then yeah I don't think anyone could question my skills." Niko said with a challenging glint in her eyes.

"I definitely remember a time when you were quick to give up, and were perfectly content taking the easy way out, even when it got you a lot less than you could've had," Tiki said. "I don't think you know how much pride it brings me to see you go from that to winning matches through grit and endurance."

"Well as long as you keep winning," Tiki said in response to Niko's second answer, "sooner or later people do forget about the rough start. And even more people come around and discover you while you're winning so that they never know how much you struggled at the start. There probably will always be a few people who won't give you your flowers for anything, but before long they'll get drowned out by the people who will."

Tiki smirked when Niko mentioned a rematch with her teacher. "Well I think you used too much out of the tank to be thinking about that tonight," she teased, "but LAW's planning a Smother Championship tournament for sometime this year, right? If there was ever a time. . ."

Tiki turned her focus back to the crowd, "well this has been a wonderful night, but I think it's time we wrap up the show! I'm Tiki Lowell, this has been LAW, and Niko Tomiji took the glory. I wish you all a great night!" The greenette switched off her mic and spoke to her victorious student to nobody's ears but their own, "Dinner? My treat." Assuming Niko accepted, the two would head backstage together, and then go celebrate.
