Never Too Late (for Bare)

[Pegasus]

Cody waited around for a few minutes until he stared wide-eyed at Drasna coming up to him in a rather elegant dress. It was very fitting for their date and it seemed both had the right idea about taking it seriously with some formal wear. Cody coughed and cleared his throat to throw off his nerves as he extended his arms for a warm hug to Drasna. After they separated, Cody took another look at her up and down.

“You look quite beautiful this evening. Before we go in, may I get your phone number? I am terribly sorry I forgot to ask beforehand,” Cody asked as he handed over his phone and unlocked it to his contacts.

Drasna was smiling sweetly as she looked at Cody, clearly he was impressed and the feeling was mutual as she reciprocated the hug he initiated. Pulling away she would nod at him as he held his phone out for her to enter her number into. "Oh of course." She said entering her number in before sending herself a text so that she had his contact info in turn. "There you go now... shall we handsome?" Drasna asked while extending her arm out for Cody to take and lead her inside with.

Cody nodded taking back his phone and storing it in his suit pocket. He took his date’s arm and a server was able to get them to a booth in the middle of the dining area. Cody let Drasna sit first and then he took his seat across from her as the server gave them two menus to look through. He also gave them both glasses of water to start off their welcoming drinks. They both would need a moment as Cody looked over the menu options throughly.

Being led inside by her date Drasna would look around and nod in approval before they were led to their table. "Oh quite the gentleman." Drasna said with a grin before pulling her seat in and looking at the menu with a hum while Cody took his seat and did the same. "Lets see... do you prefer red or white wine? it may be a bit easier to get a bottle for the both of us." Drasna suggested softly, though it didn't hurt that it would also help her get a feel for Cody's tastes.

Cody looked at the menu thoughtfully as he decided over what he might want to eat. He knew he would get his usual order of breadsticks and would make sure to get a nice bowl of garlic powder. The place also started customers off with salads so they were most likely preparing them back in the kitchen. Drasna decided they would also share wine this evening with red or white wine being Cody’s choices so Cody thought on that for a moment.

“I grew up in an East Coast state back in America so I’ve always been biased more for red wine. The vineyards in Massachusetts and California create the best and this place has equally good taste,” Cody ordered.

Posing her question to Cody and waiting patiently for him to respond Drasna would smile and nod as he eventually did so. "Oh I see! In that case they seem to have a good cabaret." Drasna said cheerily before looking up as the waiter delivered some salads for them. "Oh lovely." She said adding some dressing and putting in their order for a bottle of Cabaret for them, the waiter then going off to fetch a bottle and glasses for them while Drasna turned back to look at Cody. "The east coast huh? I've only ever seen New York I'm afraid, but I heard the vineyards in Massachusetts are lovely. I'd love to see them someday, in fact there was a small vineyard near my home as well so it may be like a blast from the past hehe." Drasna said with a chuckle before starting to eat some of her salad.

Cody nodded to Drasna’s story and began to eat his salad as much as he could. The waiter would soon return with the bottle of wine before looking at the pair with a curious expression flipping in his notepad to a blank page and clicked his pen.

“What are we going to start off with this evening? Any drinks for now?” The waiter asked.

“I think we have a solid choice on our dinner this evening. I’ll take just mineral water for my drink and as for food, I’ll take a sailbury steak well-done and a nice side of celery to go along with,” Cody ordered as the waiter wrote down the words before looking at Drasna. “For you, ma’am?”
