Personality & Past
Méi Yamanaka grew up with what was the opposite of a good childhood. Her family was impoverished; there was a chance Mei herself may have never even been born if not for the help of the small community she was a part of. Her family lived with many homeless people; her father worked in a small boating shack, which doubled as their home, and her mother worked as many jobs as she could. She attended school, but the only friends she had were the homeless people and her parents. She eventually was able to join a club in the school called Bite Back B*tch aka BBB); its motto was not to be pretty but to be yourself and fight back. However, she didn't get much time to live up to this motto, as even with the friends she made in the group, the constant bullying made it difficult for her to want to keep going to school. It mainly stems from her beanie, a colourful Pink and purple beanie; in its current state, it was damaged and torn, but she kept it, as it was a gift she got for her 10th birthday from her family, who, along with the homeless people around her shack, had all pitched in to get her the beanie since she mentioned that she liked them. Eventually, the bullying led to fighting, as Mei constantly got into fights quickly, getting the nickname "The Little Monster". However, this wouldn't go unnoticed by the teachers, but sadly, the school culture led to many of them blaming Mei, as the girl was a lot more violent compared to the bullies, who the teachers simply wrote off as "them messing around". Eventually, the school board gave an ultimatum, likely due to the students who had more influential parents pushing them, that Mei would stop getting into fights and take anger management, or she would be expelled. However, instead of listening, both her parents chewed out the principal and teachers, telling them outright they knew they had no guts, simply being too scared to make the parents of the kids mad, and more importantly, they knew they couldn't get that kind of money, so they told Mei she didn't need to go anymore. So what was she doing now? Wrestling The concept didn't immediately come up, as although Mei liked the idea, she couldn't get the money. One day, one of the older homeless folk, a man named Sumida, fell in with a pickpocket and stole a large sum of cash. He gave it to Mei's parents, begging for them to give her a chance to live her dream, saying, "I'm too old to do anything with the money, but that girl, she's young, she can give us a FUTURE." It was a risk. Still, it paid off. Starting wrestling at 16, Mei put herself entirely into wrestling, taking the little monster nickname and making it her own. The girl's antagonistic attitude made fans fall in love with her, but they also loved how vicious she was in the ring. No matter if she won or lost, she never half-assed anything. She became so popular that she could make tons of money off her merch, especially lil Monster hoodies, which she wears and was based on her family's first gift to her, the beanie. They didn't become millionaires, but going from dirt poor to having a small cult following of fans who love you is a pretty good improvement. Mei looks to prove all her bullies and doubters wrong, to become a monster people can look up to.

--------------------

Mei Yamanaka is wild, mouthy, and quite the unpredictable wrestler! She thrives on chaos and takes pride in beating her foes while humiliating them at every turn; Mei’s willing to do anything, leaving nobody safe from her antics. Despite her small size, she has no problem stepping up to far bigger wrestlers and finds it incredibly entertaining and satisfying to dominate heavyweights who dwarf her in size. An actual spitfire, Mei is always ready for anything thrown her way. However, one thing that truly gets under her skin is when people call her "cute" or "adorable"—a quick way to find yourself on the receiving end of her monstrous wrath!
