Allison Meets The Amazon

"Not sure of your ability? Last I checked you haven't lost yet and you beat some big name women." Alaina said as she looked over at Allison. Alaina was surprised someone who nearly beat a champion so quickly had doubt or worry. That seemed downright insane to her from where she stood. When Allison said Alaina showed no signs of slowing down it made Alaina smile. She knew she was slowing down, or at least starting to. The signs were there. However she was still holding up well enough to hide it at least.

When Allison wanted to sit Alaina nodded and joined her sitting down and drinking water. "So you are unbeaten, and you already showed you can take it to anyone even a big heavyweight. What exactly would make you doubt yourself?" Alaina asked as she leaned back, breathing heavily trying to recover from the spar.

Both of them hobbled over to the bench and took a seat, dripping in sweat. Water in hand, Allison took a sip, closing her eyes instantly to let it wash down her throat and let out a satisfied exhale before dabbing her face with a towel. Allison shifted her posture to turn towards Alaina when she asked the question.

"Well, I don't wanna put anyone down when I say this, but, of all the women I beat, by the 'BIG NAME' standards, JJ was the most recognizable. And I was elated to beat her. Doing the grind in the indies, winning fights, titles and fame is very different as compared to LAW." Allison's eyes veered away from Alaina's staring at nothing in particular."I only doubted myelf because of the gulf of quality between indies and LAW. Like, how much more elite is the competition in LAW? How gruelling the matches are? How much more you gotta endure in a match?... "

Her eyes met Alaina's again, a slt smile forming at her lips."But, I seemed to have missed that, my ability is what matters. As long as I am putting in the work, learning from my betters and not slacking off, I can compete with best. This fight really meant a lot to me. Thanks again for not relenting at any point..." Her tone sincere and genuine.

"What about you, Alaina? You said before that you wonder if you are slowing down..." the raven-haired woman straightened her posture up a bit."Come on...You are in great shape, and are defending your title in the most gruelling of matches, against some of the most ferocious opponents of this promotion. You have got what, 12 defenses ? 13? Those aren't the numbers of a woman running into the ground, but of someone who is in an amazing shape!"

Alaina was glad that Allison had listened to her but now she was turning things back to Alaina's own insecurity. She heard what Allison said and on the surface all that was true. There was far more to it than that though, things like her kids growing up and her own body signaling a few things. However she just met Allison. This was more of a conversation for a longstanding close friend like Kat Hart, Diana Acera, or someone like that.

"You know I guess you are right, I am just letting some nay-sayers in the press get to me I think." Alaina said. That part was true, but right now she wasn't quite at the point of sharing her family dynamic with someone she just met. "I just need to focus I think, thanks for helping me keep that in mind." Alaina answered with a smile.

Allison draped the towel around the back of her neck after soaking up the copious amount of perspiration from her face and tired limbs. The spar, akin to an offcial match really took a lot of both the women and physically Allison was drained of strength, feeling the fatigue creeping up,evident in the more pronounced breaths and gasps. Her body was literally radiating heat at this point and if you looked with a thermal scope, both of them would her appeared in it most prominently with the brightest of colours.

Taking another sip of her water after asking the question, Allison heard attentively what Alaina had to say,nodding in between. Her answer was short, didn't giving away much, but still answering to the point. The press. With the power to tear down a person, as fast they build them up. They didn't even leave Amazon from feeling the heat it seems. "The people in the press who critique you are the same ones who would be huffing and puffing after climbing up two flights of stairs getting eggs and milk. Sure, they have the power to control and influence narratives, but we can't be always dancing to their tunes. And in your case, absolutely not. You are the GOAT and capable of putting all those haughty chicks who think they have a chance just beacuse they are young and fast; back in their place"

The raven-haired woman meant every word she had said. It seemed ridiculous to her that people had the gall to go after the Amazon, despite what she had achieved and still achieving. She could only hope that Alaina put those doubts to bed soon.

"But, enough about those dumbasses. You have already been defending your title for so long and performed on an elite level for so many years now....Do you still got anything you wanna achieve long-term or are you focusing more on short-term goals at this point?"

Alaina stretched her arm out and was happy that Allison thought so highly of her. Fewer and fewer women coming in looked up to her the way they did more current top women so this was sort of nice. It made Alaina feel a bit younger. "You know, I honestly have no idea. Right now I am just focused on the LAW Heavyweight Championship. Once that reign ends whenever that is I imagine I will keep going until I feel like I can't maintain the level that I want to in the ring." Alaina answered. "You are young, what is on your radar?"

Alaina seemed to have let herself loosen up as their conversation progressed, and from what Allison could make out, she appeared to have received her compliments very well. Alaina was someone Allison had watched on the television from when when she was young and had never expected to meet her in person, much less spar with her or even eat the legendary Amabomb! So, this was all pretty surreal for her— Alaina having a conversation with her, like a friend! Alaina wasn't thinking too far apparently, only focusing on her current reign and it was perfectly understandable. When you reach where Aliana is, almost completing wrestling, having won just about everything there is to be won, looking too far ahead serves no good and Allison could certainly see that Alaina as dedicated and professional as ever despite being at a stage where no one would bat an eye if she let herself off the hook

"Mmmm...." Allison ran a hand through her long locks and rolled her aching shoulders with a hiss. "Like almost every other youngster, I hope to rise up the ranks, go for titles and have a fruitful career" the raven-haired woman said matter-of-factly. "But, when you get into this business,those goals are a given, like, they are the obvious motivations. I am not focusing on them at present. I just want to fight, to get better, take on big names and perform to my best. Infact, I am not even looking at the title picture at the moment. It's way too early for me. Titles will come when they come. So, I am just focused on putting on a great show in every match." A small smile formed on her lips as she talked about this.

"You know, great shows remind me.... You have been part of some iconic matches, embedded in the LAW folklore, especially the title matches. I know you would want to stay unbiased, but, which fights pushed you the most as a wrestler?Which were the most gruelling? I for one loved your Triple-Threat Match against Kat Hart and Astrid Ostberg. Those names we're enough for it to be a box-office spectacle! " Her tone cheerful from mention of the match.

"Heh, thanks. I just want to prove I am the best still and they keep throwing crazy tough women my way you know? That triple threat match wasn't my best showing. I was a punching bag early on and had to storm back. I want to face each of them solo for the title and I think I am close to getting a match with Kat. I did try with Astrid but she seems to be all about the Openweight title or nothing now so I am beneath her or something." Alaina said with a shrug. "I am not sure which was my best match. Bast was a draw because the time ran out as I had her pinned and I contend to this day that she wasn't kicking out, she was saved by the bell." Alaina added before sighing. "Brittany Yse stands out as a tough opponent as was the first defense against Selene."

Every trinket of informant Alaina revealed about her title matches was very well received by the raven-haired woman who listened with rapt-attention. Her eyes narrowed processing what the Amazon said when talking about the triple threat match. For the people, including her, it was definitely a blockbuster match featuring the biggest names of LAW and therefore the quality on display was top-notch, there was no denying that. But Alaina competed in that match and therefore had more insight about the workings and the dynamics of that fight, which was why probably it didn't rank up high in her best matches list. "It would definitely be intriguing to see wrestlers of two different generations duke it out when Kat and you eventually agree on the match. It's definitely gonna be a proper wrestling clinic. That's for sure" Allison shook her head approvingly.

"As for Astrid, it's her loss if she doesn't want to get into a ring with you now. The fight would have definitely been up there with the greatest ever. " her tone tinged with a slight disappointment from Alaina's revelation. " Selene, Bast, Brittany...all of those matches were unbelievable. The fact that you managed to take those absolutely forces of nature and walk away with your title, despite the size disadvantages should be enough for the doubters to keep their mouths shut,you know? Very few women in this business have the grit and resilience to withstand the gallery of opponents that you have enroute to being a champion with thirteen successful defenses, and looking fabulous doing so..."

As Allison continued to speak, her eyes fell on the undulating and bruised abs of Alaina, as she stayed in a relaxed posture. Allison had a thing for abs, almost similar to the middleweight champion Kyoko, and seeing Alaina's chiseled abs, softened and marred by light shades of black and blue front their spar, she was suddenly lost for words. "And...and...I..." Her eyes bulged, gaze locked onto her belly like a hawk, unaware that she was shamelessly staring at the legendary Amazon's figure!

"I appreciate hearing that, it means a lot. I was worried that no matter how good I did that I needed a dominant title reign after I came out of retirement to join LAW back in May of 2017 to show that I was still able to go at a high level. I just worry that after the title reign that I won't be around too much longer. If I feel like I am not myself in the ring I will walk away." Alaina said before she noticed Allison staring a hole through her.

"Are you all right?" Alaina asked with a small laugh. This wasn't the first time something like this happened so she didn't think anything of it but she still figured snapping Allison out of it may be a good idea.

Allison could hear what Alaina was saying and able to process it, but it all kind of drowned out the more she gawked at her physique. Her eyes looked as if they could bore onto wherever she gazed and the view before her, the Amazonian physique of Alaina was eyed with relish and admiration by the raven-haired woman. Alaina was definitely the standard-bearer for her moniker, embodying the goddess-like physique of the Amazon.

"Hmm..?..Mmh...Huh?...Wha-What? Oh...Yeah, Sorry for that..." Allison's eyes widened with realisation that she had been staring at Alaina for God knows how long and her face turned a beet red , looking down at the floor, eyes darting about...

"I don't know what got over me. It's very unprofessional and I apologize. But, it's just that..." Her eyes returned to face the Amazon, but it was very difficult to maintain eye contact and her pupils drifted down over her worked over abs in little glances which were less than subtle. "I am in awe of your physique. That at 49, you boast of such buffed muscular body, putting girls my age to shame, and that too while having two kids....it's unbelievable. You are really an inspiration for a ripped form and longevity" Her eyes started to wander about more. "I am stumped by that brick wall of yours....at the beginning of the fight, it looked like an unbreachable fortress and even now, with those souvenirs from me, they still look stunning. " Allison hands were working in autopilot, as her finger got extended and she reached over hovering over her stomach and gently pressed at each individual abdominal, which were now soft and giving in from the pressure, more due to the attention they had received from the spar and not from any lack of durability. She didn't know how Alaina was going to receive it, but it was as if her hand had a mind of it's own and she withdrew the limb after the 'inspection', already knowing what she had done and tore her gaze away, not having the stomach to meet the eyes of the Amazon again. She must have definitely made herself look like an idiot and mentally cursed herself...
