Tina Armstrong vs Kyoko Akan (C)

Kyoko started to fight out of the submission as soon as she could, knowing Tina would keep it as long as she could. Turning more to the side while trying to keep blocking head shots even when it made Tina redirect her focus to her body. "Nggh.." Kyoko groaned feeling her stomach take a few blows but not dropping her guard, her head needed her protection more than her abs. She tried to bring her foot up and throw a kick to Tina's head to make her stop or slow down her attack.

Then she would pull on the leg to try and ease the pressure while turning more and crawling herself a little closer to the ropes to force a break. Even i she could only get a leg on them it would mean she could get the ref to notice and force Tina to let go without spending too much energy fighting out of the hold.

Tina kept the hold kicked in but Kyoko's struggling was not making it easy! She was on guard from the kicks now and Kyoko's moving about was getting them closer to the ropes.

"Rope break!"

As soon as Tina heard that she let go and backed away to let Kyoko get back up to her feet. Tina was not going to fight dirty, even if she wanted to win back that title more than anything.

The ropebreak made Tina let her go without a count, Kyoko almost laughed, little things like that were why Kyoko was always going to be a step ahead of her. She brought a hand to her tight neck and massaged it a little, making sure she could breathe right then she sat up to prepare for the next round of action. She'd taken a few hits, and given some back, so far no one was winning this contest and Kyoko wanted to change that soon.

"So, still feeling confident in whatever slim chances you had of beating me?" Kyoko taunted, stepping in as she spoke and moving in to throw a left to Tina's face before she'd aim a right to her abs, next was her head again to mix up her offense and keep Tina on defense.

Tina smirked and shook her head. "You really are cocky, even worse than Lillian." Tina said. The women moved in and it was Kyoko swinging first as Tina managed to block the hit to her jaw but took the hard hit to her abs! She grunted and stumbled back a step and then got hit again! Tina stumbled another step but wasn't going to become a punching bag. As she was being forced back by the bigger Kyoko she would swing a leg up and around aiming a hard roundhouse kick to the head to try to answer back for the punches she had taken!

Kyoko ignored Tina's comment since she wasn't about to indulge her on who was better between her and Lillian, given what she'd done she knew she was better than both and was prepared to show it with another exchange of fists. She moved in and had her first punch blocked but that allowed her gut check to land and then she moved in and would nail her in the face. She muscled in and prepared another punch when Tina turned for a roundhouse kick.

Kyoko quickly got her hands up taking the kick to her arms, but with how close she was blocking was harder than it looked and she was pushed back, slightly off balance from the move.

Tina struck and while it wasn't a clean hit she still had Kyoko off balance. Tina could work with that and she stepped up trying to move close to Kyoko. Tina wanted to get around behind Kyoko hoping to move her arms underneath Kyoko's arm on one side while stepping up and bending Kyoko around hoping to lock in an abdominal stretch! Tina was going to try to grapple and keep things technical right now, opting to try to wear down Kyoko any way she could! Tina had to be intense and smart to come out on top, with the tigress planning to do just that.

She was still up and still standing, but in the moment she wasn't able to defend herself Tina moved in and attacked, she rushed Kyoko and slipped past her to pull her back in and lock in an abominable stretch submission hold. "Aaaggghh!" Kyoko groaned feeling herself pulled back while Tina bent her further and further. Kyoko tried to push against the pull and fight the hold, trying to fight it before Tina got the advantage.

Tina felt Kyoko fighting the hold and as she locked it in she felt like this wasn't going to be as effective as she had hoped. Tina sent a few strikes to the side of Kyoko's abdomen to soften her up before abandoning the hold but keeping her grasp of the champion. Tina shoved her shoulder into Kyoko's abdomen to lift her up across her shoulders before fluidly falling back to plant Kyoko to the mat with a samoan drop to try to keep herself in control of the match!

The struggle in the submission was short but enough for fans to see what was happening. Tina yanked Kyoko back as hard as possible, getting some pressure on her until Kyoko's resistance started to work, she was slowly pushing against the stretch and straightening herself out. Tina quickly realized her situation and changed things up by throwing punches to Kyoko's side. "Nggh." Kyoko groaned, feeling the jabs hit her side and tried to halt her progress. The pain made her attempt to get her arm free with little luck when Tina changed things up and would turn into her, getting her shoulder around her body and lifting her up into a samoan drop.

"Aggghh!" Kyoko screamed, hitting the mat after being lifted, landing on her side and rolling with the impact to try and reduce it. She still felt enough pain around her sides to almost curl up and bring a hand to where she was dropped, trying to slowly recover from the move so that she could get back up and bring her ass down.

Tina sent Kyoko down to the mat and got up, pulling Kyoko up with her. Tina waste no time in laying into the abdomen of Kyoko with a couple quick mid-kicks as she smiled eager to build more momentum by jumping up to wrap her legs around Kyoko's head looking to send her flying into the corner with a hurricanrana hoping to use the turnbuckle for a bit of extra painful impact to her offense! Tina was clicking, and people were starting to see the old champion form Tina in the ring again as she looked to have recovered her confidence something she had been lacking the past year or so!
