Maria Lindberg vs Tiki Lowell: Elite Kickboxing Battle

Maria took her chance and aimed for her opponents side with a kick. Right before the kick could connect with her opponent, Tiki blocked with her elbow. Having bone blocked by bone was already not a pleasant experience before.
"ARGH...SHIT!"
The blond woman yells out, as the shin of her leg gets blocked by her opponent. Maria pulls her leg back afterwards and puts the foot down on the ground. The pain from the impact, makes her loose footing for a bit, leaning a bit to the side.

This moment gave Tiki enough time to sweep the blond woman down. With a loud boom sound, Maria falls down on the side. With a new ground phase in motion, Tiki reacted quicker, than Maria who was a bit stunned for a second after she fell down. This gave Tiki enough time to trap Maria in a figure four lock.
"Argh!"
Maria would cry out and start to wiggle uncontrollably at first because of the pain, before she tries to roll with her body from one side to the other side, hoping to turn the tables, by turning herself and her opponent on their stomachs. However, because Tiki is heavier then Maria, the blond woman's chance of escape are limited and should this not work, then she will be in a lot of trouble.

The tip of Tiki's elbow perfectly caught Maria's shin, connecting at the perfect point in order to avoid the blow while maximizing the impact of the elbow block. For her precision, the elder wrestler was rewarded with a successful sweep and a Figure Four Leglock secured on the Lightweight once they went to the ground.

Maria tried to reverse the hold, but with Tiki's advantages in size and skill on the ground, it wasn't too troublesome for her to keep the Swede in place. As it stood, Tiki had no reason to transition to a different move or do anything else from this position. So the Brit would hold things as she had them, putting the onus on Maria to do something to force a change.

Maria did't exactly succeed in her plan to reverse the hold and get out of there. However that was to be expected considering that she was not as heavy as her opponent. The blond woman was on a disadvantage anyway, but she didn't give up just yet. Still the pain in her leg was pretty much, thanks to the hold and the block from her opponent. She cried out on the ground as the pain started to get worse the longer Tiki kept this hold up.

Maria would bite her teeth together and with all the strength she could muster in the moment, the blond woman tries to crawl backwards, together with her opponent. It is by far not an easy task but Maria tries it anyway. Her target is the wall of the cage and when she reaches it the blond woman would attempt to grab onto the holes in the cage. With their help the blond woman would attempt to lift her up, making Tikis move a lot more difficult to sustain.

Should Maria be able to get up on her feet or at least break out of the hold, her leg would be unable to move right away, causing the blond woman to fall forward onto Tiki.

Tiki's Figure Four Leglock was clearly putting in a lot of work against Maria as the Swede was forced to grit her teeth and cry out. Even if this didn't end the match, the damage to Maria's leg specifically should be a boon to carry through for the rest of the kickboxing phases of this match. After fending off the Lightweights attempted reversal, Tiki began to wonder how Maria would escape this at all.

It was at that point that Maria started crawling for the edge of the cage they were wrestling in. There were no ropes for a break, but Tiki was able to realize that the blonde could try to climb and pull herself up in order to fight back so long as she could muster the strength to do so. Maria got her grip on the chain link cage, now the question was if she could pull herself up.

The answer to that question, was yes. Tiki had little in the way of options for trying to stop Maria from pulling herself up once she proved she had the strength, as the shifting angle only made it harder for the veteran to apply pressure with her Leglock. The referee didn't quite call an end to the advantage state yet, but Tiki wishes they had, because that enabled Maria to fall back down and land right onto Tiki, who took the blow to her stomach and chest with a load gasp and grunt. The hold was broken, only now did the referee re-stand the two kickboxing wrestlers.

Maria did use her strength and tried her best to fight through the pain in her legs. It hurt like hell and her leg was in a problematic position as well, but the blond woman was not giving up and managed it to not only crawl to the edge of the cage, but also crawl up to break out of there. After a battle that felt longer than it was in reality, Maria managed to break the leg lock and fell down on her opponent.

The referee called for a re-stand. Being a exhausted and her legs hurting from the leg lock, Maria was a bit wobbly on her legs. Going on the offense was out of the picture for now. Sadly she had to wait for Tiki to make a move if she still wants to win this.

Maria would then attempt to make herself look open to attacks in an attempt to lure Tiki into a false sense of security. However, Maria still had to be careful and not let herself be to open, or else her plan would backfire.

Tiki got back up a bit slowly, a hand to her throbbing ribcage after she had taken Maria's Body Splash. She saw that the blonde looked shaky on her legs, bent forward and chest bouncing slightly as she took heaving breaths. But once Maria was able to steady her legs, they looked primed to lash out. And her arms were down at her stomach, but angled in a way that said they were primed to strike.

So Tiki was pretty sure that Maria's vulnerability was a bait, but she also knew that she couldn't just allow the Lightweight to stand there and recover. If Maria wanted Tiki to continue with her attacking, then the veteran would be obliged to put on the pressure. She would go overhead with her kick, sending her leg above Maria's bent over form and trying to bring her leg down on top of the blonde's head.

Maria didn't let herself get stressed and do a hasty action. She did wait for the right moment, her body having only the energy to counter at the moment as she had to preserve her energy for as long as she could. Thankfully Tiki did go on the attack. Maria did watch the green haired woman carefully. Every movement of her muscles. She breathes through as the whole world seems to get slower, the more she concentrated.

The moment Tiki started with her kick, Maria would attempt to go to the side, putting up her guard to protect her head. Then as she was out of the way of the kick, Maria would attempt her counter. Lifting up her still hurting leg and pressed it forward aiming to Tiki right at her center of mass, to disturb Tikis balance and make the woman stumble to fall back on the ground. While still not a fan to go against Tiki in the ground phase, Maria could not keep standing with her hurting leg and she wanted to get the advantage on the ground.

So should the kick put Tiki down, then Maria would attempt to follow her down and try to mount the green haired fighter

Tiki knew that she was in trouble when her kicked was parried and left to pass over Maria's head. Stuck with one leg up in the air, it didn't take much to knock the veteran down, despite the damage the blonde had taken. Maria attacked almost with more of a shove using her foot than a kick, but it was still plenty to put Tiki onto her back.

Tiki may have been the better grappler between the two, but the disadvantage position for this match had still been named such for a reason. It was Maria's time to go down and go on the attack. The Swede got on top of Tiki's belly, knees straddling the greenette's ample chest. Tiki tried to pull her legs up to grab and throw Maria off before she could do too much.

While Maria might be close to the end of her abilites and physical endurance the blond haired woman safed as much energy as possible in the fight now. Using just enough movements to preserve her energy, using only the necessary muscles for the job. She couldn't risk anymore mistakes, even just very small ones. Which made Tikis leg movement all the more annoying for her.

"Grr!"
Maria groans as she tries her best to keep the woman contained, her top position getting unstable. Judging by her own effort the blond woman decided that it aint worth, keeping the position. And so the blond woman would attempt to lay herself flat on the green haired woman, pressing her upper body into Tikis. Her right hand tries to get over and around tikis throat, while her left hand and her head gets to the left side and under Tikis right armpit.

Should that set up work, then Maria would try to grab her hands together in an attempt to choke Tiki. Although Tiki could quite possible interrupt her since Maria was at her limit and neither that fast or strong like she was at the start.

Tiki couldn't get Maria off of her, but she was able to force the Swede off of her mount position. Having said that, what Maria ended up doing instead may have been worse for the veteran, who soon found herself locked in a chokehold. "Grrk!" Tiki choked out as she felt the blonde's force constricting around her throat.

The first thing that Tiki's mind went to was to fight fire with fire. She brought her hands up and grabbed Maria by the throat, strangling her back. With the two locked in a mutual chokehold, the ref came over, "Maria, I won't rule that you've lost control and re-stand unless you release your chokehold!" Naturally that caught Tiki's attention too. It was Maria's call; would she reset and go again, or just ride the chokes until somebody passed out?
