Maria C./Tina A. - Sizing Up

Maria tried for what she could to force space between herself and Tina, but the former champion refused to slow down. Extending her leg to push at the middleweights core would earn her no favors as Tina quickly pivoted her around, forcing the taller Italian onto the turnbuckle before she followed suite!

Legs wrapping, Maria was completely hopeless to prevent what followed next, with Tina yanking her off of the corner post she had just placed with incredible force!

Body rotating through the air courtesy of that power, Maria could but yell all the way back down to earth! With her front hitting the canvas first in a manner that literally made her bounce!

Tina stayed seated on top of Maria reaching back to hook a leg and pull it up attempting to go for a pin against her opponent. "One!" Tina called out unable to really slap the canvas from here. She pressed down and kept that leg hooked hoping that this was it. Tina was gassed at this point and knew she got her workout for the day, then some. Maria was one tough woman and deep down Tina knew that this wasn't going to work... that would be too easy.

Maria's escape from the pinfall was a quick one - but arguably it was as unwise as it was hasty. For the Italian was so keen to cement herself back in this match that she had now begun to forego opportunities to rest and recover. Instead, she'd push from Tina's roll-up as if she had energy to spare, with the end result being quite a sad one for the taller gal given that she would fall haplessly into a sprawl.

Chest rising and falling as Tina was presented with the opportunity to further capitalize, all Maria could do was focus on her breathing in an attempt to make the stars hovering above her head disappear.

Tina felt Maria kick out and as she rolled off she flopped about on the mat seemingly too tired to get up herself!

Tina knew she had to get up but at the moment the most she could do was slowly staggered uo before falling to her knees, her chest heaving as she struggled to draw breath. Maria was not faring aby better either. "Should we call it?" Tina wheezed out as she clasped a hand to her chest as she drew breath.

Maria didn't like the concept of calling a spar off from fatigue over finding outright victory, but given her state, she felt she had no choice. She could take solace in the fact she had taken the former champion to this extent, even if there might of been some hesitance by Tina to go all out!

Clutching her rising chest, all she would do was nod, as her head came down with a small look of disappointment plastered across her face!

Tina nodded to her and extended her hand moving gingerly as she did. "That was one crazy workout, you really didn't hold back n' I was giving ya everything I had." Tina began. "You really took it to me for a good stretch, I was impressed when I wasn't hurting so bad I couldn't think clearly." She said with a small grin. She hoped that Maria wasn't so disappointed in the outcome, or lack of a clear outcome, that she failed to have any sort of takeaway from the spar today. Tina certainly took something away and she would surely be watching out for Maria in the future, sure that this woman was going to quickly rise up in LAW!
