A Strongfoot Scorned

Velvet returns to her dressing room, completely peeved after what happened during her match.

Velvet: Ze nerve of zat redheaded lutefisk, who does she think she is.. thinking she vould treat my varning about not touching ze floof as a joke?! (She puts a comb through her feather boa in order to clean it) If I ever see her again, there vill be HELL to pay!!

It had barely even been a minute since Danielle Degardin had been forced to admit defeat to Velvet - not only conceding the match to her, but ceding that the Norwegian was the most glamorous and elegant wrestler in LAW; that very same position that Dani herself had long claimed for herself. And it was all going so well for her, too - up until she got a little too cocky and decided to taunt Velvet. But that had been a mistake. That had opened the doors for Velvet to unleash a truly unrestrained beatdown on the redhead, until Danielle had no other option than to submit just to make the torment stop. The whole word had seen her at her lowest. Even as she walked away from the ring, her head was hung in shame - she couldn't bear the thought of facing everyone who had just seen it all blow up in her face.

But Danielle Degardin was not someone who admitted defeat so easily. No, she had a pride that was just as fiery as her temper, and that pride wouldn't fail her now. If Velvet had dared to insult her on such a grand stage, then Danielle wouldn't rest until she paid for her insolence! When she passed by her opponent's dressing room, the mere sight of her name on the door made something tense inside of Danielle, her clenched fist trembling at her side as she hissed under her breath. She couldn't keep all that anger penned inside of her for long before it was bound to explode outward. Luckily for Danielle, though...if Velvet was in her dressing room, no one could get in her way. It was the perfect spot for an ambush. And that thought was all too tempting for the redhead to pass up...

A moment later, the door to the dressing room swung open as Danielle stormed inside, every fall of her feet landing against the floor with a stomp. The moment her eyes caught Velvet, they locked onto her with a glare, boring straight through her. "YOU! Did you really think you could make a fool of me and get away with it!?" Without waiting for an answer, she would grab for the back of Velvet's head, attempting to slam her face against the counter. "I'll show you what happens to the imbeciles who think such things-!"

Velvet has her head slammed on the counter before glaring at Danielle.

Velvet: Didn’t zey ever teach you to knock?! If you’re really a glutton for punishment, zen prepare for ze second course! (She hits Danielle with a spinning backfist, sending her flying out of her dressing room) Hope you’re ready for round two!!

Right when Velvet least expected it, Danielle struck! The Norwegian barely had any time to address her grievances, and even if she did, Dani wasn't in the mood to talk things out. Before she knew it, she had came up behind her foe and slammed her face straight down into the counter! For a moment, Danielle felt smug, and a satisfied smirk came to her face. Not only was that going to hurt, if Velvet was as glamorous as she so annoyingly boasted of being, it would only hit her harder if Danielle had managed to mess up her makeup - or, even better, leave a mark. But her satisfaction was short-lived. Velvet wasn't going to take these things lying down. And just as she had proven how tough she could be in her match, she was about to show the Frenchwoman that it would take more than a blow to the head to stop her - when she whipped her fist around, catching Danielle in the side of the face!

"Gaah-!" The force of the blow swept Danielle off her feet, and as she dropped to the floor, she went skidding out the doorway and into the hall. She huffed and groaned, rubbing at her skull where the blow had struck. But nothing motivated Danielle Degardin quite like rage - and that was more than enough to stir her back to her feet, as she pushed herself back up, facing Velvet with her teeth clenched in a snarl. "If it's a fight you want to pick, it's time I show you what I'm really capable of," she snapped. "You just got lucky, and I'll prove it!"

Sinking into a stance, Dani watched Velvet carefully. Much as she hated to admit it, she'd already learned the hard way that trying to go head to head with Velvet in a straightforward fight wasn't the best of plans. Instead, she would look for whatever she could to get the upper hand. She studied Velvet's stance and her approach, prepared to counter if need be...

Velvet: Time for me to show you vhat a Strongfoot is capable off!! (She rushes at Danielle feinting a flying knee before wrapping her arms around her waist and preforming a suplex before wrapping her legs around her stomach.)

Danielle slowly rose to her feet, keeping her eyes trained carefully on Velvet. Her teeth clenched with a hiss, and every muscle was tense, ready to take off at a moment's notice. She had thought that she might be able to tip the odds in her favor by catching Velvet unawares, but the Norwegian woman had quickly proven that she was underestimating her yet again when she came back swinging - and when she did hit, she hit hard! But Danielle had still made up her mind that she would have her revenge. The next time she struck, Danielle told herself, she would be ready...

Or so she thought, anyway. When Danielle saw Velvet come sprinting toward her with her knee raised, she thought this was the moment she'd been waiting for - and she stood on guard, ready to defend herself. She brought her arms up and took a step back. But then, Velvet set her foot down - and just like that, the Frenchwoman's entire strategy was thrown for a loop! Dani didn't even have time to gasp in bewilderment before Velvet's arms were already around her. "Gah, hey-! Let me down-!" she hissed, kicking her legs in the air - but it was hopeless. Velvet slung her over her shoulders, slamming her into the hard, unforgiving floor!

The impact rattled Danielle from head to toe, her teeth chattering as the world around her spun. As she began to collect herself, she huffed under her breath, pushing her hands against the floor to try and lift herself into a seated position...but then, Velvet came in behind her, her legs snapping shut around her waist! Danielle let out a muffled gasp as Velvet constricted her airways; she tried to turn from side to side, but her opponent wouldn't budge. Growling in frustration, she would attempt to throw an elbow behind her, aiming for Velvet's face. She wouldn't stand to be manhandled like this!

"Rrgh...let go-!"

Velvet: You should’ve known better zhan to sneak up on a Strongfoot, because zhose zat do vill be in for a rude awakening!! (She increases pressure with her bodyscissors)

Danielle hissed under her breath - her teeth grit in a snarl; one of her eyes was squeezed shut, while her other eyelid twitched incessantly. Every muscle in her body was tense under the pressure, and her fists were balled so tightly her nails were digging into the heels of her palms. She was going to cement herself as the most beautiful, elegant, and talented wrestler in all of LAW, whether Velvet liked it or not - she'd already made up her mind about that! Yet, Velvet was still getting in her way - and it only stoked the fire that burned in Dani's heart all the more. The mere fact she wasn't winning was an indignity she couldn't stand for!

Velvet didn't even seem all that fazed by the Frenchwoman's efforts to fight back - a fact that would only infuriate Danielle even more! She threw a few elbows behind her, but Velvet only squeezed her legs together, forcing a wheeze out of the redhead's lungs. Danielle groaned and hissed - but it wasn't just with pain. She had to do something about this - she wouldn't allow for any other outcome!

"I said...LET. GO!!" she roared. This time, if elbowing Velvet wouldn't work, Dani would throw her head back behind her - attempting to ram it into her opponent's own!

Velvet would be caught off guard by Danielle’s headbutt, causing her to release the body scissors as she laid on the floor in a seated position.

With a loud thud, the back of Danielle's head rammed into the front of Velvet's own - and, rattled by the force of the blow, the Norwegian had no choice but to release her grip on Danielle's midsection. The redhead wasn't unscathed, of course. As she sat back up, she hissed through her clenched teeth, rubbing at the back of her head to dull the lingering pain that could only come from slamming her skill into a hard surface, and she could still feel the soreness around her sides where Velvet's thighs had clamped down tight. "S-So barbaric..." she muttered. Danielle wasn't usually one to stoop to such crude and lowbrow moves as headbutts, like some big dumb brute, but Velvet simply left her with no choice. Now, though, the important thing was that it had left Velvet stunned...and Danielle was ready to swoop in and take advantage of that fact!

Settling her eyes on Velvet with a hateful glare, Dani went to roll on top of her, getting into a mounted position on her chest before raining down punches straight to her face! "I won't dare tolerate such disrespect from the likes of you-!"
